What a wonderful trip we had, organised by tailor-made safaris
We had an absolutely fantastic trip, expertly arranged by Safaris op Maat. The itinerary featured a wonderful mix of beautiful lodges and diverse landscapes. Communication throughout was excellent—via email, WhatsApp, and in person in St. Lucia. During the planning stage, we received a detailed online proposal with all the essential information, and one to two weeks before departure, a clear and comprehensive travel book with everything we needed for the trip.
We traveled with three adults in August 2025, visiting the Drakensberg, Ithala, St. Lucia, Kosi Bay, and other quiet, off-the-beaten-path locations. We loved the small-scale, varied lodges, which offered a truly unique experience. The game drives were especially enjoyable, with a maximum of three vehicles in the area, instead of 20 all racing to see the animals first.
What we appreciated most was the relaxed pace—less time spent traveling, more time experiencing the destinations. After all, we already spend plenty of time driving in our daily lives!

Ask for Hassan for your guide!!
Spent 11 days in Tanzania with our guide Hassan. He was very knowledgeable in the countries history, animal facts, and even vegetation in the national parks. He took us to Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Valley, central Serengeti and Northern Serengeti. He ensured that my partner and I saw the big five and most importantly the great migration. He made the trip fantastic and memorable with his tips and tricks and being a great conversationalist as we waited for animals to show up or cross the river for the migration.

Awesome
We only have good things to say, both about Axis Safaris, where the whole process was very smooth, but especially about our guide, Khalifa. Khalifa was without a doubt an excellent guide, not only because he is very experienced and knows exactly where to go, but also because he welcomed us warmly with great humor and fun.
Without a doubt, we would choose Axis Safaris and Khalifa again.

Excelente Safari
We had a wonderful and incredible safari. Everything was perfectly organized.
We visited Amboseli and Tsavo East. They also helped us purchase train tickets to Mombasa for a few days in Diani. It's a small but very professional company. If we were to return, they would be my agency of choice.
We were a group of eight, and Gordon and Maya were our guides.
All I can say is positive, punctuality, choice of hotels, help with the locals. They have the best price and fantastic quality. I can only say that I would contract with them again

Good communication and nice driver/guide.
I've done 1 day trip with Camptrek to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. The communication with the office was with Rose and she was always answering my questions (I ask a lot) politely and on time. My guide was Paul and he is a very nice person to have around, polite, respectful and very good driver and guide. I am a women travelling by myself and I felt safe at all time. I highly recommend Camptrek. Thank you Rose and Paul !

A wonderful experience
We have seen all big 5 with our tour guide Benjamin. Our tour guide, Benjamin, fulfilled all our wishes and went to great lengths to answer all our questions. He was very patient and possessed a great deal of expertise.

First safari trip
Drives to Kruger from Johannesburg and back were smooth with stops along the way for food/bathroom. Drivers (Tiyani) were always on time and very friendly. Only thing that would have been nice is more communication about the drop off - day before reminders. The pickup time was also unclear, so we had to have our lodge call them to confirm. Otherwise, no issues! The lodge was amazing, we loved Mdluli.

Very welcoming and organised
All the trip was well organised, despite a problem of overbooking at Ol Tukai lodge Victor was able to find a proper alternative.
Our guide Major was amazing, always welcoming and gentle we let us feel like in family.
I definitely recommend Jastro safari!
