Amazing 3-Day Safari from Zanzibar!!!!
5/5

Our 3-day safari was unforgettable! Everything was well organized from the start. We flew from Zanzibar and visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. The parks were beautiful, full of wildlife, and the views were breathtaking. Our guide Mr.Lewis was Charming, Experienced, Very Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had the best experience. The accommodations were Supper comfortable, and the Hot food while in Safari was great. It was a short trip but we saw so much, including all the Big Five and even a rhino! Highly recommend this safari for anyone visiting Zanzibar and Looking for Safari in Tanzania Mainland!!!!!!

4-day-Camping-Safari - great experience!
5/5

We booked a 4-day-budget-camping-safari with telly and Steve was our freelance guide. He did a really good job. Since it was our second time on safari, we had a strong wish to focus on the predators. Steve made everything possible: we saw the Big Five and more. He was a calm, pleasant person, and we could ask him anything – he always had an open ear for us. Steve was also an excellent driver, and we felt safe at all times.

All the meals prepared by our cook, Mishack, were fantastic! He’s still very young, but with so much talent – he could easily open a restaurant in Germany, no joke.

The camping spots were beautiful; you were directly in nature, right next to the animals. But please don’t expect German-style cleanliness – remember, it’s Africa! If you’re fine with that, camping is definitely the best choice to truly feel the African vibe.

Unfortunately, the Senator Hotel in Arusha (before and after the tour) wasn't up to our expectations - no hot water, bad internet connection. Hopefully, Telly will change this hotel in the future.

amazing honeymoon with spirit of kenya safaris
5/5

We just loved all the experiences there.

Our guide, Ken Matata, was really amazing.
He was super polite, very kind, and made us feel comfortable and safe from the first minute. He showed a lot of experience in game driving. We saw all the animals we could think of. We saw all the big five, plus a lot of other animals in various environments. He was also a prudent driver, something I realized is very important, after being there. It was really a great pleasure to have met him.

So basically everybody was super kind and treated us very well.
Our first stay, Zebra Plaines Mara, had such good food, we ate very well there. The accommodation was also very good, we had a big room, a comfortable bed and a comfortable bathroom. We felt secure regarding all concerns with the mosquitos. Maybe the mosquito net around our bed was a bit short, I even managed to kill one little guy. Which was the only one we found, so, once again, basically, very safe.
I would like to mention Ken, a guy at the restaurant there, he was super kind and always paying attention to us.

Then we moved to Lake Nakuru and stayed at the Nakuru Sopa Lodge. We absolutely loved this place.
The nature of this place, different from the savanna, was pleasing, and allowed us to see some rhinos.

The Nakuru Sopa Lodge had some of the best views we saw while being there in Kenya.
All the people there welcomed us so good.
The bed in our room was probably the best of all, I had a great rest there.

Our last place, Ambosely kibo safari camp, was also great, we loved the food there, our room was probably the best of all, a lot of space, it was nice and cozy.

The trips beetween parks were smoth and confortable, the jeep was very confortable. But they are really long, it was probably the only thing a little ruff to carry, because I have trouble to sleep on the way.

But in the end, it was a great pleasure. We loved all the places. All of them very comfortable and cozy and with very nice food. We were very well welcomed in every place, all the people were the best we could imagine, and they all treated us very very good

Have a terrible experience with this company at all costs – fraudulent, unsafe and violent, experience
1/5

We booked a safari with 1 Wonder Expedition in July and were promised 5-star lodges and luxury tented camps (confirmed to us in writing twice). We paid €2000 in cash on arrival, but once the trip started, every hotel was downgraded to far cheaper and lower-quality alternatives with poor reviews WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. The driver was simply instructed to drive us to these alternative hotels and we only found out because we realised the direction he was driving us to was different.

When we requested a fair refund of €1000, the company’s employee “Kingi” (who had originally pretended online to be “Rachel James”) told us to come to their office in Arusha. Another tourist in the same situation was also called there.

When we arrived, seven men were waiting for us, including the Director of Operations, Ally, who had collected our payment. Instead of giving us the refund, he physically assaulted my partner when he tried to film his aggressive behaviour, HIT me and another tourist, and one of the men Tried to lock us inside the office. We only escaped by forcing the gate open.

Police were called, and Ally spent a night in custody. We have since filed a formal police report, submitted evidence, and are pursuing the case legally. We also have WhatsApp messages, photos, and videos to prove all of this.

In my experience, this company did not operate transparently — I was given what I believe were fake names and confirmations, and I felt my services were unfairly downgraded. I also felt intimidated and even feared for my safety during the trip
No tourist should ever have to experience this. Please protect yourself and avoid 1 Wonder Expedition entirely.

About: Sasatrip
Most considerate, detail-oriented and customer focused agency we experienced so far!
5/5

We booked our honeymoon with Sasatrip and they exceeded our expectations. From the first call with them about organizing the trip and keeping it within budget until the last E-Mail after our return making sure thst everything went well, they gave us constantly the feeling that our wellbeing and satisfaction is in their utmost interest! This made us feel very comfortable and at ease throughout the entire experience. Let it be the pricing or us not even checking our accommodation prior ourselves! Every accommodation was carefully picked and were of very high standard. The entire honeymoon was filled with little surprises for us which did not feel superficial at all, rather very considerate and on point. We can recommend booking with Sasatrip any time! We will surely recommend them in our social setting and hopefully come back one day on a Safari to book with them again! Thank you very much for everything!

Outstanding Safari Thanks to Erastus and Spirit of Kenya
5/5

We had an unforgettable safari with Spirit of Kenya. Everything was perfectly organized, from the itinerary to the lodges, and we enjoyed every single destination. A special thanks goes to our guide, Erastus, who was simply outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and always going the extra mile. He truly made the difference and turned a great trip into an extraordinary one. We would wholeheartedly recommend Spirit of Kenya to anyone looking for a reliable and professional safari company.

Excellent Migration Safari with Guide/Diver Mtinangi
5/5

Mtinangi is an awesome Guide and very experienced Driver over the very primitive roads. It was a continual African Massage driving. Hold on! He found all the Big 5 and used his binocular/phone trick to ensure even my cell phone captured awesome memories of tree climbing lions, leopard with its kill, black rhino, etc. Although we hunted for 4-9 hours a day for the Migration crossings, the conditions were not perfect for the animals to face the elements. We did see 16 cross but not the masses hoped for. If Mtinangi could control Nature, he would! He did everything possible including Dietary needs to make this a positive memorable experience! He is knowledgeable, personable, and a family man whose son is following in his footsteps for a love of nature and an animal advocate. You will be well cared for if you have Mtinangi for your guide.
For the company, this trip was a good value for a private tour. I would highly encourage breaking the drive into 2 days from Tarangire to Northern Serengeti. 13 hours was too long. We would have paid a bit more to arrive less fatigued. Otherwise, a very worthwhile experience. Thank you for everything!

Mtinangi was an expert guide and drive and went out of his way to make sure we had an excellent trip
5/5

The tour was very good, especially the excellent service and attention of our guide, Mtinangi. The accommodations and food were good considering 2 were in the bush. The second day of travel from Tarangire to Northern Serengeti was too long with a 13 hour day of very rough roads and would be better to have been broken up into 2 days even if it costs more. The animal sightings were amazing and Mtinangi's knowledge of the flora and fauna was very educational.

Incredible Experience and Value
5/5

I went on this tour just through word of mouth with a group of 8, for 8 days.

Thomas’s tour and my experience with him and Sunday was beyond exceptional. I am an extensive traveler, but have never been to Africa and did NO research. I actually felt a bit nervous going into it because of how “unprepared” I was. Im also a little bougie and was fully expecting to ROUGH it. So here’s my full breakdown:

+We saw EVERY animal!! Our group was so lucky - we saw lions, hippos, multiple leopards 🥹 absolutely life-changing experience from day one!!!

+every hour was accounted for. There was never wasted time and activities were all day. Optional if you didn’t want it, so interesting and one-of-kind if you did.

+We never “roughed” it. The hotels were unique and so nice - we found ourselves at times wishing we could stay longer.

+The food was always plentiful and delicious. It is heavily carb-based so keep that in mind. Lots of Ugali, potatoes, and banana.

+LOTS of driving on roads that are just entirely potholes. It can be totally exhausting. Keep in mind for elderly or people who can’t sit for long periods.

+ Thomas was always willing to stop for us ladies without complaint when we needed a bathroom break 🥹. Thomas, in general, NEVER complained and even the slightest complaint from us he DEALT with it. Total accountability and he wanted to make us happy!!

+The value for the money was insane..he wanted to make sure we had the best time and wow. I cannot explain how life-changing this experience was. It felt like a whole month in 8 days.

❗️I took a tour after this in Tanzania so I have one to compare - NOTHING like the tour with Thomas!! There was inconsistency with guides, no communication, lots of wasted time, horrible food, no care…and that was a “good” safari. So when I say you’re spoiled with Thomas and don’t take a risk, I really mean it.

Things to note:
-I did NOT research, plan, do anything 😅 So I did this tour totally in the dark
-I’ve traveled extensively but have never been to Africa
-I’ve never done a safari before but it was on my bucket list (so I had high expectations!)
-I didn’t know the girls before going on the trip, but By the end of it, we were all best friends
-I always felt safe and taken care of. We were all women and it was such a blast!!

🙌🏽Overall I’d do this trip again 10000%. I left with life changing experiences I’ll never forget, people who have become family, and memories I love.

Thank you Thomas and Sunday for the experience!!
