We had an amazing experience and our drivers (we had two cars) made our adventure the best!! Stanley and Patrick were not only knowledgeable but knew the tricks to finding the big five among the ugly five and MUCH MORE!! They were like family by the end of our trip! Kelvin was extremely prompt with any type of communication. Would highly recommend Meru Lopes!

A magnificent trip, customised on our needs by Dutch people living in Tanzania.
Last week we went on a Safari in Tanzania with GreenHippo. It was fabulous!
The trip was completely put together as we wanted: a rather short stay with our four grown-up children. The Dutch people from GreenHippo are living in Tanzania and called us to hear our wishes and needs: timing, tour, lodges. They proposed a very specific tour and after another call we booked our flights and they adapted the stay on the timings of the flights. They are very clear and open in their communication.
On the first day in Arusha they welcomed us in person and gave us good tips on the way of living and visiting Tanzania.
It felt secure to know that they are around when something goes wrong (luckily that was not the case for us!)
The tour itself was overwhelming, fabulous, magnificent! GreenHippo works with local drivers and ours was the best! The trip depends on their motivation to get the most out of the safaris and when/where a stop is made to shop or use the washroom/bushroom ;)!
The accommodations they work with, are all special and sustainable, clean with good food and beautiful views.

We are a family of 6 across 3 generations with diverse interests. With the help of Darren we were able to find a fantastic itinerary that met all of our objectives and fit into our tight timelines. Darren helped us to rearrange our ideas so that we got the most out of every day!
The team used by Compass in every location was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions and needs. No request was too much trouble and we were able to be flexible when we needed to after long flights etc. Getting local, unbiased advice enabled us to make great choices for how to use our time based on how we were feeling at the time.
Africa was a huge, diverse and somewhat daunting location for our family and our own internet research could be overwhelming at times - so many choices! We absolutely loved the places we stayed based on Darren's advice (we chose from the list of options) and everything was top quality - meeting AND exceeding our expectations.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Darren and the team to help deliver the trip of a lifetime!

Amazing, reliable , memorable
We had an amazing 4-day safari experience with Axis Safari, covering Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Everything was very well-organized—from timely pick-ups to comfortable accommodations and smooth transfers.
A special mention to our driver and guide Tony, who was truly outstanding. His deep knowledge of the parks and animal behavior made every game drive exciting and informative. Thanks to his skill and patience, we had incredible wildlife sightings including the Big Five, cheetahs, and even a rare rhino in Nakuru!
The hotels and camps arranged were clean, scenic, and offered great hospitality—perfect for relaxing after a day in the wild. Meals were well-planned and the overall coordination was seamless.
We felt safe, well-informed, and truly immersed in Kenya’s natural beauty. Highly recommend Axis Safari if you’re looking for a professional, reliable, and memorable safari adventure!

Amazing Experience with Axis Safari
We traveled for 6 nights and 7 days with Axis Safari, and the experience was truly amazing. Jacklyne did a wonderful job planning the trip, especially considering we were traveling with our parents—it was a very thoughtful and heartwarming experience.
Throughout the 7 days, we were accompanied by Robert, our guide, who was extremely experienced and knowledgeable about wildlife. He took us to incredible spots where we had the opportunity to photograph a variety of wildlife in different settings.

David was a friendly, thoughtful man with good knowledge of animals, their behaviors, and ecosystem.
Just returned from an unforgettable family safari in the Maasai Mara this July. The highlight was undoubtedly witnessing the awe-inspiring Great Migration, with countless wildebeest and zebras courageously crossing the river – a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide, David, a wildlife veterinarian and the owner of the tour company, possessed an impressive knowledge of the animals, their behaviors, and the ecosystem. He didn't just point out animals; he shared interesting insights, making every sighting meaningful. We saw a staggering amount of wildlife, far too many to list, but the sheer volume of impalas, buffaloes, gazelles, hippos, and baboons, alongside specific sightings like five lions, four leopards, eight crocodiles, nine hyenas, dozens of elephants and giraffes, and a wide variety of birds speaks to the incredible access we had.
David's dedication to wildlife protection was evident; we even saw him offering guidance to other tour operators to ensure the animals' safety. Beyond his expertise, David was incredibly friendly, had a fantastic sense of humor, and showed genuine high morals and ethics throughout our journey. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had an enriching and memorable experience.
A tip for future travelers: booking your accommodations well in advance is highly recommended to secure the best options. We can't recommend this safari experience enough – it was an adventure our family will cherish!

I would recommend this local agency to my friends. The itinerary is very well arranged, the food is satisfactory, the accommodation is reassuring, and the animal scenery is also very exciting. The initial itinerary was very timely in response and basically met all my needs. The driver was also very serious and responsible, and all the animals were tracked to our location. We also saw the famous scenes of vultures eating horned horses and horned horses crossing the river. Our itinerary also includes tribal cultural experiences, which are highly recommended, especially for the Hazarbi tribe, which offers a perfect hunting experience. This local agency is perfect for me.
