Reliable and fun tour operator with a good value for money
4/5

Our Budget Group Safari was an unforgettable experience. During the 6 days went to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. Our highlight was Masai Mara. We were able to see the Big Five 😊

Our guide Moses knew everything about the animals, was very motivated in finding them and kept the group enterntained with his humour.
The car was a bit old though.

We were a bit surprised that we did not stay with the same group for the whole Safari. It makes sense, but sometimes you might lose some time waiting for new people to join. It did not bother us, it is just something you maybe should be prepared for when booking the group safari. We think it is the same with all Budget Tour Operators.

The accomodations were good, we especially liked the Mara Enkorok Camp (it was an upgrade which we don’t regret). We can also recommend the massage at Hills Court Hotel!

Kenya is an amazing country to visit
4/5

The trip itself flowed seamlessly and we didn't have to think about any logistics, we could just enjoy the experience. Our travel planner Susan was attentive to our likes/wants/needs and made sure our trip came together wonderfully. We were a small group of 7 people in the same 4x4 which is enough in terms of space. Please note that we bring max. 70 cm luggage per couple. Otherwise there is no more room for the luggage in the vehicle. The driver was young and attentive and good to follow up animal leads. We saw big 5, Ugly 5. The roads in Kenya are not good and there are separated roads only in the large cities. While traveling between camps the driver needs to pass lots of trucks in a row. Hotels were 4-star except one in Naivasha which is changed at the last minute. It was not a good hotel although its location is perfect. Amboseli part is far and difficult road, better to think twice. I believe after visiting Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara no need to go Amboseli as the number of animals are much less than both reserves. Well I can recommend a more slower pace such as 8-days only Masai Mara and ake Nakuru.

We saw Rhino in this park. It is one of the best places to see them in Kenya!

The Western Cape is my happy place
Overall rating

The Western Cape has só much to offer.
I love the mountains, the coastal drive from Gordons Bay to Hermanus and beyond.
The fynbos is breathtakingly beautiful.
The hospitality industry offers a varied selection of cuisine. And if you veer a little off the beaten track, you find traditional cuisine of a high quality.
The wineries, local weekend festivals, the unspoiled west coast north of Cape Town, mountain passes, farm stalls, the wild flowers in early spring, hikes - I get so excited about it all.

A lot of trees and bush making it a bit more difficult to spot wildlife.
The lake offers a lot of birds though.

Experienced guide who knows what’s’ best for the tourist with him
4/5

Plan for Kenya was by my friends who I accompanied and should say the tour from Airport to Train Station is the best experience we had.

Every day planning, hotel/ campsite stays, game rides for animal viewing, masai village tour, cycling , boat rides - everything was more than we expected.

Tour guide had good knowledge of all wild animals in Masai Mara Reserve & Amboselli National park and he never denied our request for more animal viewing or getting closer to animal herds for good pictures & closer viewing.

It’s a lifetime experience that I wouldn’t forget and I hope everyone opting Karibu Safaris also will have the same satisfaction.

Well planned itinerary, easy and efficient booking procedure
4/5

Liuwa Plains had been on my bucket list for about 12 years and now I know why.... Wonderful experience camping in the middle of nowhere with a knowlegable guide/driver and a competent chef. Mother nature never fails to deliver if you only keep your eyes open, so we saw lots of lovely birds and other animals and were able to take our time, never in a rush. The tents were very nice, campsites had everything you need and thanks to the drivers skills we always got through the deep sand. Kafue was also a very positiv experience with all those different buck and how the driver got out of the mud after it had rained is hard to believe. So there was a bit of adventure thrown in here and there, never a dull moment and lots of laughs with the team. No regrets, I am very thankful to have been on the trip!!
