The best experience.
Our guide Mr. Ombeni from Gosheni was amazing. You can tell he’s been doing this for years — he knows the land, the animals, and how to make every day special.
He somehow spotted wildlife that we couldn’t see even with binoculars!
Besides being super skilled, he’s fun, cheerful, and made everyone feel comfortable and happy throughout the trip.

Shafino Made Our Tanzanian Safari Special and Unforgettable!
I cannot recommend Shafino highly enough as he took us on a once-in-a-lifetime safari through the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro, enabled by his expertise and dedication!
Shafino's knowledge of the animals and their behavior is outstanding. He shared stories from his experiences, answered all our questions, and taught us a lot. He’s an expert in the local terrain, has an excellent sense of direction, and knows exactly where to find the animals. He even knew specific prides and groups of lions, which gave us special insight into the animals we saw.
In just 2-3 days, we saw 8 of the big 9! Some special moments that showcase Shafino’s commitment: getting us very close to water buffalo, finding not one but two leopards in a single day, and going out of his way to position us perfectly to see a magnificent male lion on a rock during the Serengeti sunset.
Beyond his wildlife knowledge, Shafino was very thoughtful and considerate. For example, he always opened doors for us, closed his window when other vehicles passed to prevent dust from entering ours, and always ensured we had ample time to take photos without feeling rushed. The vehicle was always in excellent condition, and he was consistently punctual.
We would absolutely hire him again and recommend him to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure.

Couldn't imagine a better experience. Exceeded my expectations
My friend and I chose to celebrate our 40th birthdays with something we’d both dreamed about for years—a safari in Tanzania. After searching online, we came across Wivi Agency, and something about their approach felt right. Still, this was a big step for us. Not only was it our first safari, but also the first time we handed over the reins of travel planning to someone else. No spreadsheets, no frantic research, no long nights comparing reviews. Just trust. To be honest, we were a little nervous.
But from the moment we landed, every worry melted away. Wivi Agency delivered an experience that far exceeded our hopes.
Some highlights that meant the world to us:
* Mwanne, from the Wivi office, was incredible—warm, responsive, and efficient. She patiently answered every question, adjusted our itinerary with grace, and made sure we felt taken care of before we even stepped foot in Tanzania.
* The pricing was fair and transparent. Beyond flights and visa fees, everything else was covered—no surprise charges, no hidden costs, just peace of mind.
* We were met promptly at the airport by a driver who greeted us with a smile. No stress. No confusion. Just the feeling of being welcomed.
* We chose the mid-range lodging option, and honestly, we were blown away. Each place had its own charm, but all were clean, peaceful, and staffed with kind, attentive people. Personal highlights included Planet Lodge Arusha, Heart and Soul Lake Manyara, Simba Tarangire Lodge, and Embalakai Camp—each offered a sense of serenity and connection to nature that’s hard to put into words.
* The meals were hearty and satisfying. While not gourmet, they were consistently good—especially after a long day on the road or in the bush. Hot packed lunches, buffets, and warm smiles made every meal something to look forward to.
* The safari vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed—water, beer, wine, soda, and charging ports. No mechanical issues, no worries.
* A big plus: very little “forced shopping.” We've both been on trips where that’s a constant distraction. On this safari, we made only a couple of optional stops, and there was zero pressure. It was refreshing to just enjoy the experience.
But the true heart of this journey—the soul of it—was our guide, Shabani.
There are good guides, and then there are guides like Shabani—people who live and breathe this land, who radiate joy and curiosity, and who somehow manage to connect with you exactly where you are. I’m an eager question-asker, endlessly curious about everything around me. My friend is quieter, more focused on photography and those picture-perfect moments. Somehow, Shabani balanced both our energies with ease.
He was a fountain of knowledge—about animals, birds, trees, landscapes, languages, and culture. He could sense when we wanted silence, and when we needed stories. He navigated rough roads, complicated logistics, and even unexpected schedule changes with a calm professionalism that gave us total confidence.
But more than that—he cared. When we were lucky enough to witness a leopard hunting, he was just as excited as we were. When it rained, he smiled through it. He had a gift for knowing when to wait, when to move, and where to look. His patience during river crossings or quiet moments observing wildlife behavior gave us the space to really experience the magic of the wild.
He was, simply put, a joy to travel with. We will always be grateful to have shared this journey with him.
If I had to name one hiccup, it was a small scheduling mix-up where Wivi changed one of our hotel bookings without informing Shabani. It resulted in two single-night stays instead of one two-night stay. A bit inconvenient, but ultimately minor in the context of a spectacular journey.
The most amazing part? I didn’t plan any of this. I just showed up—and left with my heart full.
If you’re on the fence, wondering whether to book with Wivi Agency, don’t hesitate. Hand them your trust—they’ll return it tenfold.
This wasn’t just a trip. It was a gift.
Thank you, Wivi, for making our 40th unforgettable.

Wonderful experience with Mr. Ombeni of Gosheni
Mr. Ombeni was an incredible guide throughout our journey across Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti. He knows every path and animal by heart, and his sharp eyes spotted things we would’ve missed — even cheetah cubs hidden in the tall grass! Every day was perfectly planned, from sunrise drives to picnic lunches, and we saw all of the Big Five and much more.
Beyond his expertise, Ombeni brought humor, warmth, and genuine passion that made every day unforgettable. Traveling with him felt like exploring Tanzania with a friend who truly loves his homeland.

Best safari operator in Uganda and Tanzania
3-Day Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Park Safari
I booked my 3-day low-budget joining safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Park with Benjamin from Gatsio Safariz. Although I booked my trip very spontaneously (two weeks in advance), everything went smoothly. Communication with Benjamin was excellent (which isn't a given in Uganda and Tanzania), and Benjamin was available at all times.
The tour guide who accompanied the trip was also excellent and did everything he could to ensure we had the best safari!
I would 100% recommend Gatsio Safariz!

The best ever
If you’re lucky enough to get Mr. Ombeni as your guide, you’re in for a treat. His 10+ years of experience really shine — he knows every track and every animal in the parks.
His spotting skills are next-level. I still don’t know how he saw those lions resting under trees from so far away!
On top of that, he’s friendly, funny, and made the whole trip feel easy and special.

Unprofessional, unreliable, and repeatedly failed to deliver what was promised.
We booked a safari with this company, and it was a total disappointment from start to finish. If you want your trip to be safe, organized, and enjoyable, read our experience carefully before booking.
1️⃣ €1,077 scam using the company’s name.
We were scammed by someone impersonating the agency while we were communicating with them. We provided the police report, and almost a month later, when speaking with Alfred, we discovered that the company never filed a complaint, which is extremely serious and irresponsible.
2️⃣ Last-minute price increase.
Only four days before the safari, we were informed of a price increase. Other groups we met on the same route did not have any increase, making us feel we were treated unfairly.
3️⃣ Attempted overcharge of almost €250.
Mercy told us we could pay in euros at the official exchange rate, but the person collecting the payment tried to apply the dollar rate instead. Only after intervention from other tourists was the error acknowledged.
4️⃣ Vehicle breakdown and shortened game drives.
In Masai Mara, the vehicle broke down inside the park, and we were stopped for over an hour. Afterward, the guide picked up a Masai man, turned off the radio, and spent the trip talking to him, ignoring the animals.
Only at Lake Nakuru were the hours of the itinerary respected.
At 5 p.m., when we asked if we were heading back, he replied rudely: “What do you want to see? There are no animals.”
5️⃣ Problems with park entry and tickets.
The next day, the guide said that “we didn’t have a safari the first day,” even though it was clearly in the itinerary. He also mentioned the police and the park tickets, which should not concern the client; if the itinerary exceeds the allowed hours, it is the agency’s responsibility, not ours.
6️⃣ Two days without included water.
The package included 3 liters per day, but the guide did not provide water for two full days.
7️⃣ Hotel changes without respecting location or promised standards.
Before the trip, I asked Mercy specifically whether alternative accommodations would be similar and within the parks, and she confirmed they would.
The reality was different: we were placed in urban hotels far from nature, including in Naivasha, which completely altered the experience we had paid for.
8️⃣ Poor customer service and lack of solutions.
Mercy started copying and pasting the same response without addressing our concerns. Contacting Alfred did not help either: he just listed park fees and mentioned “compensation for the boat ride and Masai village,” without offering a real solution. We were not asking for money — we just wanted the services we paid for to be delivered.
💬 Summary:
A trip that was supposed to be once-in-a-lifetime turned into stress, frustration, and total disorganization. We are not asking for money, only that they deliver what was promised: schedules, accommodations, and professionalism.
⚠️ If you are considering booking with them, look for a more reliable agency. Once you pay, attention disappears and promises vanish.
We learned the hard way — hopefully, this review will help others avoid the same experience.
