It all went exactly as promised. The promise was that you will fall in love with Serengeti, with Tanzania, with Africa, with the people. The plan only escalated the experience from day 1 onwards and yet gave time to decompress at the end. Superbly and reasonably planned and executed by the team @Africa Barefoot Safaris, primarily Prajwal who ensures that your needs are incorporated in planning yet leaving space for her years of experience to shine through. Her guides, this time Wilson, are full of magic tricks. Literally like Santa, you place a request, and the gift is delivered. A bush meal with Girraffes, done, a pack of Cheetas hunting, done, a lioness and cubs less than 3 months, done, variety of birds, done, a large herd of Elephants, done, lions and leopard on tree, done. The lodges/camps were manned by locals who have so much love for you and it penetrates your heart right from the moment you reach. Superb hospitality, great safari experience, amazing planning, great prices.

Wonderful from start to finish!
We had the best safari experience with our driver Willy! Nothing was too much for him. He was very professional but also so kind and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure we got to see all of the animals we wanted. He is well connected in the park and has inside information as to where to spot animals etc. Don't hesitate to book. The most wonderful experience! Thank you.

Compass Odyssey were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. I came across the website when doing research for a trip to Africa that was both safari and other adventures and felt that the Southern Africa itinerary was the type of thing we were after. We are normally independent travellers but knew we needed some expert input for the best experience in a relatively short time. We really appreciated the wealth of information provided to assist us in finalising the itinerary for our family of 4 (parents plus two teens). All the suggestions from Darren & Kate were spot on.
From the moment we arrived in Joburg til the day we left we felt supported but with the flexibility to adapt where needed. All our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, as well as putting up with endless questions on all topics. We did a lot in the two weeks but the pace was maintainable with balanced time between drives, river tours and other adventures such as the Devils Pool and rafting at Vic Falls. The accommodation was all amazing and exactly the type of thing we would’ve chosen ourselves. And the service provided at each location was also above and beyond. None of us could fault the trip and while it wasn’t of course cheap, the costs were always clearly spelt out and we know exactly what was and wasn’t included. Compass Odyssey were happy to work within our budget at all times. The safaris themselves were beyond description and despite it being summer with lots of growth we saw the big 5 plus many, many other creatures large and small. We will definitely return to Africa and 100% would use Compass Odyssey to assist us. If you are thinking about a trip- do it!!

Best Guide best company for Kilimanjaro Climb
My friend and I did 6 days Kilimanjaro Climb via The Machame Route for 6 days and The whole Team was Super Helpful and Friendly from Answering our queries 24/7 available to Day one to day 6 everything went really Smoothly and professionally!! We got Top notch Service and you could tell that they really care and passionate about their job !! Terrific organized with the goal to let us see the entire wildlife and they succeded.
Georgius organized everything in all details. Aruba Lodge was amazing.
Driver Franco was the best which overcame us.
The contacts he had with the other drivers (friends) made that we got an unforgettable experience of the wildlife in the park.
The dinner/breakfast was delicious.

Great itinerary & nature — but serious issues with “private tour” integrity
The itinerary and Uganda’s nature were truly impressive, and the trip itself had many strong moments.
However, we paid an additional private tour supplement specifically for exclusivity as a couple, and a third participant was added without our consent, meaning the private tour we paid for was not delivered.
In addition, there was an issue with accommodation standards (private bathroom), which was only resolved after escalation.
The experience could have been excellent, but transparency, respect of agreed terms, and value for money need serious improvement.
My advice to future travelers: get every detail confirmed in writing and double-check what “private” actually means before paying extra.

A hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
First off wow. With so many choices for tours I was having trouble deciding on one at first but let me say I couldn’t be more happy I chose Ecolife tours. The price compared to other safari booking is unbeatable, but the quality of service and hospitality felt just as good if not better than the competition. Our guide Domie was the best. He got us up close and personal with the animals but never made us fear for our safety. His skills as a driver and guide were top notch. He really brought the tour to life with his commentary and knowledge of the animals and area. He got us where we needed to be on time, safely. If you are hesitant to book this tour, this is your sign to DO IT! You will not be disappointed.
