We have recently returned from a safari in Tanzania. The country is quite safe, the local people are incredibly friendly, and the safari was perfectly organized. The staff members we encountered from Zara Tours were all friendly and knowledgeable travel professionals. Justus was our guide for the duration of our safari and he really went all out to ensure that we enjoyed the trip. He has been in this profession for 12 years and truly excels at his job! He’s a professional you can trust. During our trip, we saw the Big Five and many other incredible sights! It’s helpful to learn some Swahili. We also visited the Maasai tribe, danced with them, and learned so much about their unique and fascinating culture.

Unforgettable Safari Experience
We booked our safari almost a year in advance. As it was our first time to Tanzania, we really needed expert advice on the right timing to catch the wildebeest migration & customization of itinerary. Jerome understood what we were looking for & was responsive & patient from the booking process right through to the end of our trip.
Our guide, Ezekiel was knowledgeable & attentive, often checking in on our preferences. He went above & beyond to ensure that our safari experience was unforgettable. We cannot control what nature offers & we were extremely lucky to have caught the largest wildebeest river crossing in years. However, it was also thanks to Ezekiel who stayed connected to other guides & responded quickly to nab us a good spot to witness the wondrous sight.
His deep respect for nature & wildlife showed in the way he approached every sighting. On the road, his skillful & careful driving through rough conditions ensured our safety. What impressed us most was the pride he takes in his work and in his country—something that made the entire experience even more meaningful.
We would highly recommmend booking your safari experience with Meru Slopes. However, a piece of advice for future travelers would be to take time to consider the type of accommodation that best suits your comfort level. While some may love the authentic safari experience of tented camps, others may find them too basic.
Thanks to Jerome & Ezekiel, we left with incredible memories & a deeper appreciation of the wildlife in Tanzania.

Incredible experience, highly recommend!!
We went on a 9-day safari trip through Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The itinerary was very well planned and we really enjoyed every detail, including the meals, acommodations and activities. We did plenty of game drives and saw the big 5 and the great migration crossing of the Mara river - unforgettable experiences that are well worth the long flight.
Our guide, Tom, was exceptional - very knowledgable, kind and great company! He made our experience 1000x times better by teaching us about Tanzanian culture and making sure we saw all the animals we were hoping for. He is a very safe driver, speaks fluent English and takes great care of his clients! If you book with Wakanda, definitely request him explicitly.
Most of our meals were prepared by Wakanda's main chef, Dula, whose culinary skills can't be overstated. We were impressed by the quality and variety of dishes and were always satisfied. 10/10!

Our guide Tribon, who accompanied us throughout the trip, is not only highly professional but also extremely warm and friendly. He would explain animal habits, patiently stop the vehicle when we encountered scenes we were interested in, and was as thoughtful as a friend.
The most delightful part was that the entire journey went smoothly without any unexpected issues. Each day’s itinerary was seamlessly connected, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. What’s more, we were incredibly lucky—with Tribon’s precise guidance, we saw lions, elephants, and giraffes, and even had a rare encounter with a cheetah. We’re truly satisfied!

Responsible, excellent, and experienced!
The 6 of us spent a wonderful holiday for 6 days in Safari, from Ngorongoro to central Serengeti and northern Serengeti, also lake Natron. We basically saw everything. Our guide Julius was super experienced and knew exactly where to find a good position. Thanks to him, we saw a magnificent crossing, we'll never forget this experience.

Fabulous and Professional
A seamless booking experience for our Masai Mara Balloon Safari and a wonderful balloon flight. I was hesitant about booking with a local tour operator but was a lot cheaper than using our UK agent who we had the rest of our safari booked with. I didn't need to worry Linda was brilliant keeping in touch with me all the way through from booking, to payment and even meeting in person in Nairobi with treats. Everything was just perfect and our balloon flight was the stuff dreams are made of. Would definitely recommend and use again if we are lucky enough to return to Kenya
