4 day Maasai / Lake Nakuru safari
My husband and I had an incredible 4 day safari adventure with Papa John! He was an excellent guide, found the best spots and very attentive. Would highly recommend. The land cruiser was comfortable, we had plenty of water and stopped often for snacks / bathroom breaks making it a comfortable trip. We had booked a 4 day trip and saw large variety of animals including rare sightings of cheetahs and leopards. Will be back very soon with Jocky tours! Thank you again Papa John

A reliable and professional safari operator with safe driving
We had a wonderful safari tour and it was truly a memorable experience. Our guide Jeff made the journey very smooth and enjoyable – his driving skills were steady and safe, which gave us peace of mind throughout the trip. What impressed us most was his sharp eyes and attentiveness; he managed to spot animals that we would have easily missed on our own. Thanks to him, we were able to see and appreciate the wildlife up close in its natural habitat.
The overall tour was well-paced, comfortable, and full of highlights. We felt very well taken care of, and the guide’s professionalism and passion really added to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and rewarding safari adventure.

Dan's The Main Man
From first to last thank you to Golden Trips Tanzania for an unforgettable experience.
This was an amazing experience, thank you for your information, assistance and support both before and throughout our trip Anitha in the office.
Well, what can we say about our absolutely fantastic guide, driver and ultimately friend DAN THE MAN. Dan was again all we could have asked for from collecting us from the airport, all throughout our 8 days will him until he dropped us off at the hotel the night before our flight back home.
Dan went out of his way to ensure that we saw all the animals that we wanted to see and the icing on the cake was his getting us to see the wildebeest migration actually making a river crossing on the Mara river.
He also used his own initiative and sorted out a mechanical problem with the vehicle (well with this terrain, these things can happen). Dan seems to know someone at every town, village and picnic site that we visited 😂 which is all good for information sharing during the trip and getting the most out of our time with him.
Once again many thanks to all at Golden Trips Tanzania and who knows, one day we might meet again, fingers crossed!

Mo Afrika was Mo Awesome!
My family of four (husband and two 14 year-old girls) did the 15 day South Africa tour and it was amazing.
BACKGROUND
I'll start my review with the preparation work. I admit, I was very skeptical of doing everything online and via What's App. I had previously booked a two-week tour with another company based on a recommendation from friends who had done the exact same tour. Three months after I booked, the company went out of business, and I was back to square one. I did a TON of research to figure out which company to go with. Mo Afrika had the best two-week option for what I was looking for.
RESPONSIVE AND CARING
They were quick to respond via What's App and were very patient. I worked with both Lavendar and Rishen, and they were both excellent. They always answered my questions and were prompt. At one point my daughters left their charger bank and charger in a hotel in Joburg. They helped arrange for us to meet them on our return flight at the airport to return the items. This is attentive service we are talking about. Lavendar also took the time to get on a call with me before I booked to ease my concerns.
ACTUAL TOUR
The actual tour was amazing. Clearly, Mo Afrika outsources some of the tours to other, in-country companies. If you think that's a bad thing, you would be wrong. They selected some amazing partners, including Viva Safari in the Kruger area and Wild Horizons in Zimbabwe. One of the things I liked about the tour was the thought that went into how it was done. Staring in Cape Town was great. We stayed within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront and were able to walk in safely for dinners and shopping. It also allowed us to ease into our adventure with a city that was most like our own. We started with a half-day Cape Town tour that let us ease into our vacation. The next day was a full day CT peninsula tour where we were amazed by the seals and penguins, and overall Cape Town experience. Next, we did a full-day wine tour (we were unable to do the Robbens Island tour because it was closed, so they substituted the half-day wine tour for a full day -- it was awesome and great family bonding time.)
We next moved to Joburg for our tour of Soweto and had a great experience that included going into one of the emcampments and visiting a pre-school with our daughters. I don't want to say too much about this as I think it's something you just have to experience for yourself.
Our safari portion was very well thought out. We arrived at Tremisana Game Lodge, and it was great. We dropped our luggage and immediately went out for a sunset game drive. BAM! Our first game drive, our guide did a "Ferrari Safari" so we could see a leopard crossing the path in front of us. First of the Big Five and it was the toughest one to see! We proceeded to see other amazing sites, including, of course the "McDonalds" of the bush...
The next day we did a bush walk with Luke (the Camp Manager) and he was a great guide and we felt completely safe. We did additional drives at the Tremisana Game Lodge and were fortunate to see all of the Big Five there. The guides were amazing. Next we did a day in Kruger where we saw a lot of animals all together (at one poll we saw elephants, zebras, giraffes, impala, and even lions) all together.
What was amazing about the way they did this was that you got to experience the safari from different points -- the evening rides, the sunrise ride, the bush walk, etc. where you would see them up close at the smaller game park. Then Kruger gets you the big experience of seeing herds and/or groups of animals together. Our family now has many catch-phrases -- especially from Sunny at Kruger (It's a giraffey day! Wow!)
We next went to Victoria Falls and were greeted by Wild Horizons -- Mo Afrika's partner for this part of the trip. They kept the high quality going. We stayed at a beautiful resort, Elephant Hills and enjoyed the pool and spa. We even took advantage of a spa afternoon for our whole family.
The Falls were breathtaking and the guide was wonderful. We took our leisure day and two of us did the horse back riding safari (Great!) and a half day safari. We wanted to do the elephant encounter but it was booked -- so if you are thinking of doing that, I'd book in advance.
The trip to Botswana was great. The border crossing is long -- be prepared to wait for over an hour wait for border crossing. My advise if you do Botswana is get the multi-entry visa when you arrive at Victoria Falls. It will save you both time and money. In addition, if you have kids, you not only need their passports, but have their birth certifiates on your phone as you will need them.
We enjoyed the river cruise in the morning and would do that again However, we would have skipped the afternoon safari (we didn't see anything on the land cruise we hadn't seen before on the other parts of the tour) and would have missed the 90 minutes to get back through the border crossing. Plus we could have had a restful last afternoon before our journey home.
Overall, I would recommend this tour and Mo Afrika. It was an amazing, life experience for our family.

Botswana 7 day tour - Incredible experience for our family
We travelled as a family of 6 adults and this was the perfect tour for a special holiday for us.
I found the booking process flexible and easy - it was a pleasure to correspond with Archie in their office to make sure we got the right tour at the right time. We had a few issues with paying the deposits / balance due to payment methods not working but Archie found alternatives and was very patient.
The tour itself was brilliant - we were well looked after by guide Norman and driver Simba the entire time, from a friendly welcome and pick up in Victoria Falls, though interesting conversations and insights on our drives and over meals, to them dropping us off at the airport the day after our tour finished. They were genuinely so lovely, I cannot praise them highly enough.
The activities and accommodation were well thought out and covered the best of Botswana - we absolutely loved the safaris in Chobe with brilliant local guide D who very much indulged our family’s love of birds! The accommodation was really lovely everywhere we went - we especially enjoyed the very special lodges at Nata Lodge. There is obviously a lot of driving on this tour - Botswana is a big place - but the bus was comfortable and there were appropriate rest stops.
Overall I really recommend Africa Uncovered Safaris and the 7 day Botswana tour. Botswana and Zimbabwe are wonderful counties to visit and the wildlife is really something else. If we come back to Southern Africa we will use Africa Uncovered again.

Guide Stanley: Very attentive and focused on clients
I had an amazing experience of one full day safari at Kruger with Stanley. Before starting the tour at the Park, Stanley shared all safety guidances with us (e.g. not leaving any part of the body out of the car, keep the voice low etc) and, as a plus, he asked us which animals we would like to see because he would do his best to make that happen. I felt very confortable and included when started the day this way. Thank you so much for guiding us and sharing your knowledge with us, Stanley!

Fantastic experience
I reached out to them 6 days prior to flying to Kenya, for helping me with the travel and game drives. I had booked accommodation but did not know how to manage the travel. We also desired to do some site seeing in Nairobi. Viktor took on to the challenge of a short time frame and he helped arrange for all of this, including a city walk tout and also suggesting a things we could do. he arranged for a land cruiser which was extremely cost efficient and the guide himself, Arony was also extremely helpful. Would definetely recommend them and in my future Kenya trips i am looking forward to a continued association with them

Highly skilled driver, super knowledgable and a great company!
Caleb was the best driver we could have asked for the 7 days trip! He's always on time, highly skilled driver on both kenyan roads and on the national park gravel roads. He really knows where to find the right spots for animal watching and he can get to those spots really really fast. We've seen all the big five and some incredible sunsets too. He's shared a lot of knowledge about the animals as well as the local culture. He is very friendly and was always prompt when we had some questions. You could also tell everyone in the community knows him. Overall we were super happy with Caleb and would definitely recommend!! Also has some amazing dance moves and great taste in music :)
