Not loads of birds, apart from at the view point where we stopped for lunch, they were in abundance - used to tourists giving them scraps!

We only had 1 day available to explore the park due to very important rainfall. We would have love to have more time.
Our tour operator did not perform as expected and completely ruined our experience.

Enjoy the forest by foot but don't rent a car or a driver!!
Overall rating
4/5

The forest is quite unique. The entrance fee is 725 Kenyan shillings per non resident adult. We explored it with Willie, a freelance tour guide we found through the official Arabuko Sokoke website. He charged us 2,500 KES for a three-hour tour, during which we walked through the forest and saw birds, insects, butterflies, monkeys, and the shrew. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

However, when organizing the tour, he told us that access to the forest was only possible by car and that he would arrange transportation for a minimum of 4,000 KES (half of the total cost of the entire activity), since we didn’t have our own car. In reality, we were perfectly willing to get there by tuk-tuk or on foot. The car only took us to the pond where elephants come to drink—a 15-minute drive—after which the rest of the morning was spent walking, which was actually the best part of the experience.

This extra cost felt completely unnecessary, especially since the car just waited in a parking lot for three hours. I would have much preferred to spend that money supporting the forest itself rather than on unused transportation, and the whole situation felt a bit like a setup

We loved everything about Namibia. The people are friendly, the animals are beautiful and the landscape is second to none.

This was a trip of a lifetime.

Everything is Amazing!

4 of us travelled to nairobi from London on 8th January, 2 of us have experienced amazing wildlife in kenya previously and were excited to return, we were not disappointed ! We travelled with Gemfinders, a great find, organised, communicative and fun, and took time to find lots of birds for my very enthusiastic birding husband! Such a great time, I would thoroughly recommend Kenya as a great safari location, others countries are great too but on this occasion it was the right trip for us. Be prepared for early morning and evening game drives, a safari is an adventure !

We had good accommodations and saw the Big 5, plus way more. Panoramic was difficult with rain and fog, but okay still

Brian was friendly and always professional.
5/5

I and my wife had an amazing tour in uganda and Rwanda on a 13 day safari. From the start to finish, communication with the office was seamless. Our guide Brian made our tour enjoyable. Brian has extensive knowledge of the wildlife in this region. He is professional, approachable and a skilled driver. Our safari experiences in both Uganda and Rwanda was amazing. We would get excited about every activity each time. We loved the gorilla trek in bwindi, (highlight of our tour). We recommend Firante tours for a great adventure.

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Safari Nuggets
5/5

My safari with Safari Nuggets was truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life. From start to finish, everything was well organized, seamless, and thoughtfully planned.

Our guide was exceptional — incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about wildlife and conservation. He shared so much insight about the animals, the landscape, and the ecosystem, which made every game drive exciting and meaningful. You could really feel how much he cared about doing things the right way and respecting the animals in their natural environment.

The experience felt personal and immersive, never rushed, and always safe and comfortable. Every sighting felt special, and the guide made sure we had the best possible views while still keeping the experience ethical and natural.

Safari Nuggets delivered an authentic safari adventure that exceeded my expectations. I left with unforgettable memories, stunning photos, and a deep appreciation for the wildlife and places we visited.

I would highly recommend Safari Nuggets to anyone looking for a truly memorable and well-run safari experience.

Tonny made our trip the best journey ever !
5/5

We spent 10 amazing days in Uganda thanks to Dav and our guide Tonny. We had the most amazing experience of our lives and we hope to be able to go back again. I can’t describe this journey, you have to live it yourself. But I recommend to go with Dav Safaris and especially with Tony as a guide, you’ll have a magical experience for sure !

Unforgettable Rwandan Adventure with Wild Sage
We had an incredible trip with Wild Sage in October 2023, exploring Akagera National Park and Volcanoes National Park. The entire journey was perfectly planned and executed.
In Akagera, staying at Karenge Bush Camp was a highlight, but nothing topped our elephant encounter around the vehicle. Our guide, Isaac, was phenomenal—his calm, knowledgeable guiding made the moment feel safe and respectful.
In Volcanoes National Park, the hike to Dian Fossey’s grave was a powerful experience. Sharing this safari together as friends was made even better by Wild Sage’s thoughtful, conservation-led approach. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a meaningful and seamless African adventure!
