Most Amazing Safari Adventure in Tanzania
5/5

We truly had the most amazing safari adventure in Tanzania with Migration Venture Africa. Everything about the safari was perfectly organized, and we ended up having the time of our lives. The trip went smoothly from the moment we arrived at KIA, through the parks, to our departure last Tuesday. What made the trip special was the attention to detail in every aspect of the journey (transport, lodges, permits, activities, game drives......) Nothing was left to chance; everything was well taken care of. Our guide, Peter, was kind and sincerely concerned for our safety and enjoyment. We had a fantastic experience and confidently recommend Migration Venture Africa for safaris based on our wonderful experience.

I recommend you do not book with this company
1/5

Do Not Book Any Tours With This Company (NWKS)
The manager has blackened the previous good name of this company, and has probably tainted the good reputations all his drivers\guides
I have used this company in the past, with no complaints, actually they were so good, I have used their services three times.
I contacted NWKS in February this year to book another safari, and I paid a very large deposit.
I was not concerned because I had never experienced any prior problems with NWKS.
In hindsight, while planning a tour in 2024 with a friend, our choice of East Tsavo accommodation was changed due to ‘a government department booking out the whole venue\resort’, and our accommodation was downgraded without any reduction to the fees, maybe this was an earlier sample of the devious methods of the manager.
The manager had frequent contact with me while I was emailing him planning my 2025 itinerary, but once I had paid a deposit, I did not hear from him much at all, except when I arrived in Nairobi.
I spent 5 weeks in Kenya visiting friends in the Kisumu area, then had a short Mara safari with a different operator who is a friend, when I mentioned my planned safari to my friend, she asked which operator I was booked with and expressed her extreme concern about NWKS and their recent bad reputation for dodgy practices.
Apparently, they hadn’t been making bookings or paying for accommodation, nor arranging or paying for park entry fees, arriving at parks and then their guests have had to pay for things that should have been booked and paid for on receipt of the guests’ deposit.
I contacted the NWKS manager to inform him that I was back in Nairobi, and he wanted to know my method of payment for the balance of my planned safari, and he\his staff contacted me about this payment several times
I was to be picked up on 15\4\25 at 0700
On the advice of my friend, I did noy pay the balance, and requested a copy of the service voucher, which was not forthcoming.
My friend rang all three park accommodations that I was due to visit, and there were no bookings for me at two, and one had a cancelled booking.
My friend booked a whole new safari for me with her own company, similar to my planned one, and I left with her and joined her driver\guide after having to deal with the managers lies, as below
The NWKS driver arrived at 0700, I asked him to show me the service voucher for the first park, and when he couldn’t produce it, he rang the manager who spoke to me and told me that it wouldn’t be available until his office opened at 0830. He asked me to present to his office at 0830.
At 1145 that day, I received a ‘copy’ of a service voucher for one of my accommodations at 1145 that day, which was ‘created’ on 21\2\25.
I have reported this company to KATO, which said NWKS has been removed from membership, and the issue has been passed on to TRA. I don’t know if I will ever get a ‘refund’.
Apparently, the office and phones, aren’t manned, and all the vehicles have been auctioned, but the manager is still arranging safaris and ripping people off, using reputable drivers, and tainting their reputations.
Since receiving the ‘copy’ of the service voucher on 15\4\25, I have not had any contact from this company at all, and surely, if they had any morals or concern, they would have been wondering where the hell I went to after I left with my friend?
I have waited, and contacted both KATO and TRA again, but I have not heard anything from either organisation in over a month since being home, and I have been hesitant about complaining about this until now, while hoping for some positive response, and an indication of some kind of refund.
This situation is very damaging to the Kenya tourist industry and needs to be addressed to prevent the honest operators, guides and drivers being tainted by another company’s rotten reputation.

We had a great day at our one-day safari and saw a lot of animals. The communication with Winnie was great and clear, and we knew what we needed etc. for the tour.
Our driver Jackson at the safari was great, and told us a lot about the animals during the day. 5/5 would recomend!

Andrew & Serengeti Wakanda are THE BEST!
5/5

This safari with Serengeti Wakanda was outstanding in every way. Our guide Andrew was a pro—he found us lions, cubs, a rhino (!), and even a hidden leopard in Serengeti. He kept the vehicle clean, well-stocked, and always went out of his way to help other guides on the road. A true team player.

We stayed at Marera Lodge, Signature Serengeti, and Masek Lodge—each one was excellent. The food was incredible, especially for us vegetarians. And a Father’s Day cake surprise at Signature Camp was a really sweet gesture.

The early morning game drives, the balloon safari, the sightings, and the warm service made this trip truly special. We also got to meet other Wakanda guides and were amazed by how much joy and unity there was in the team.

If you want a professional, well-organized safari with heart, Serengeti Wakanda is the way to go.

Fantastic experience! I can really recommend to make an unforgettable vacation
5/5

Mary arranged everything for me months in advance with great communication via WhatsApp. We only had to pay a tiny deposit before we arrived which was reassuring. Our driver/guide was called Barton and was brilliant and soo smiley! The luxury accommodation was incredible with animals walking around next to the lodge.
Unforgettable experience!

our Dream-Safari, organized by Allen Tanzania Safari
5/5

To begin with the summary: we would love to return to Tanzania, and IF we do, we will lay all organization in the hands of Allen Tanzania Safaris!

Why? We planned to do a 10 day Safari tour combining national parks offering the best chances to encounter the vast variety of animals, and also we wanted to experience some culture and finally we wanted to visit friends/colleagues who work in the Serengeti, before spending some days at the beaches of Zanzibar Island.

THAT is a lot of organizing to do, combining all of these elements... we chose Allen Tanzania Safaris by recommendation of a colleague who used work in Tanzania and recommended the company as being very professional and reliable and trustful.

And with our journey, we found all of these aspects confirmed added by a very sympathetic note from Eve, the owner of the company, who was always there for us in case we need assistance - and in Tanzania it seldomly goes exactly by the original plan ;-)....

Of course the driver is a very important factor for such a long journey including many days of game drives, and we felt safe in the hands of Emmanuel Makundi, who drove us throughout the 10 day journey, and we learned a lot from all his experience of the animals, of the country and the people (and we had good fun with him, thanks a lot, Makundi!! ;-)). Thanks to his intuition, we spotted so many animals, and on many occasions we were lucky enough not to be in a group of 20 or 30 cars surrounding the animals, but having a very private and individual encounter.
That was worth so much!!

We were very happy having chosen a local company for the organization of our trip... for various reasons.
First, we were happy to see that the money we were "investing" in our trip benefits the local economy and people from Tanzania directly - that gave a very good feeling.
Second, Eva was ALWAYS addressable for our needs when we wished to contact her.
Third, Eva's vast experience in organizing, being in second generation of doing this family business, which is a service business, and service she provides.
Experience a service orientation mounted in a trip plan that was perfectly well trimmed to our needs - that is what we felt after concluding the trip. We left all the choices for lodges, tented camps and the itinerary to Eva with the sole precondition that it must not be too expensive (despite the fact that we had a private driver and the car exclusively for the 2 of us) and that Ngorongoro is a must and that we would like to stay a a certain lodge there.
As May is still rain season, a lot of people we talked to who have done a similar trip told us it may not be ideal to spot all animals we would have loved to see, as the grass is still high and the animals are not forced to visit the water pools in order to drink, like in the dry season.
As a result, you might need patience and a little luck while doing the game drives, not sticking too much to your expectations to spot the most exotic animals.
Eva and Makundi are very good in transporting the feeling that the "big five" idea is spoiling the true purpose of the trip a little bit - not leaving enough space for enjoying wildlife as it is. We had had the luxury of comfortably long time-spans for our game drives, and we were often lucky, after all.
In May, the environment is still green, which is a comfort to the eye, and also the streets/paths are not so crowded.
On the other hand, with the high grass you might have a complete day of game drive and the only animals you spot are birds and Elephants and Giraffes, apart from the Wilderbeasts and Zebras and Gazelles... Not very probable, but possible...

In the end we did Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Ndutu, then we spent 2 days at Fort Ikoma visiting our friends, and we ended the Safari trip with a full day of game drive in Serengeti ... the itinerary of Eva and the way Makundi did it, left us enough time and we never had the feeling having to rush from one spot to the other... In the end, we spotted al animals we intended to spot, and so many more.
Elephants and Giraffes and Lions in Tarangire, Black Rhinos in Ngorongoro, Serval Cats and Caracals in Ndutu (a most beautiful lodge there) Hippos, Cheetahs and Leopards (and many Lions) and again a Serval Cat in Serengeti.
The most impressive experience was not one of these single encounters, it was witnessing the miracle of the great migration, and the fact that Tanzania and Kenia are hosting this unique journey of the ungulates within an intact and preserved ecosystem. A unique and impressive experience.

For Zanzibar Island, May might really be not ideal do to the fact that rain requires clouds, and without the sun, beach and water are not always being perceived in the most brilliant way... Anyway, for a number of reasons we are happy to have been there, but will probably not return there...
After 2 weeks, we returned safely to Germany, with our soals and hearts being filled with tons of beautiful impressions and having had so many beautiful experiences.
We for sure want to return to Tanzania (mainland), maybe with family or friends - and if we do, Eva will be the first to contact in order schedule a unique trip ;-)
