Knowledge and experience making an unforgettable East African extravaganza
We had a fantastic trouble free trip to Uganda, Rwanda, Zanzibar and Tanzania. Our guide and tour director Jackson was an incredible wealth of knowledge as one of the most experienced guides in Tanzania and had an uncanny ability to identify the best places to go-the Great Migration was a humbling and unforgettable highlight.

Very keen on meeting all our needs and requests
My sister and I had a 5 day safari: Amboseli - Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara. Our guide Philip really made the difference and tried to show us all the big five. Kenya is definitely a touristy destination but the Masai Mara has a lot to offer, nature wise. However I would suggest to focus more on the Amboseli and the Mara, possibly spending 3 full days on game drives in the Mara. If you are tight on time, skip Lake Naivasha: the distances here take a very long time that you take away from the safari itself.
With Mimsoft: after my quote request, Steve immediately contacted me To know my budget and my requests. He also suggested an amazing tented camp right at the gate of the Mara that was amazing. We had an issue with the Lake Naivasha Resort that did not have an hair dryer in the property : at first they said no, but Steve helped us and we finally got it. Mind it was raining and 13 Celsius outside and we had to remove the dust of the Amboseli. The food was also bad there, with very little choice. That resort was the only disappointment in an otherwise amazing experience. Mimsoft provided a really great service.

EXPERIENCE AFRICA TO THE FULLEST AND WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT ANYTHING
If you want to enjoy the best possible experience visiting the Serengeti and Tarangire National Parks and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (in Tanzania), the best choice is Major Treks and Safaris, located in Arusha.
The team, led by Spanish guide and naturalist Luis Alberto Rodríguez and Arnold, the local manager, is exceptional. They have the necessary infrastructure so you won't want for anything. They support and care for you constantly, taking care of all your needs. They pick you up at Kilimanjaro Airport in Arusha after you get off the plane and accompany you throughout your stay until it's time to return to Spain.
The service included in your vacation package is comprehensive. In addition to the safaris (the main purpose of the trip), they include an introduction to the country's art and culture through several excursions to specific places of interest in Arusha and two very interesting excursions.
The first is a 40-minute hike from Materuni to Kuringe Waterfall (70 m). A spectacular place. Materuni is a village inhabited by the Chagga tribe, in the foothills of Kilimanjaro National Park. It is a jungle landscape surrounded by coffee, cocoa, banana, and avocado plantations. Members of the tribe offer a fascinating demonstration of how they produce and process coffee, from harvesting the beans to tasting them in the cup. The excursion is complemented by a delicious lunch served by a Chagga family, consisting of a series of delicious dishes typical of their cuisine, and a relaxing soak in the crystal-clear hot springs of Kikuletwa.
The second is a visit to two truly unique African tribes that live around Lake Eyasi. It is a journey into the past of our species; a unique and unforgettable experience. First, the Hadzabe, one of the smallest ethnic communities on the continent and one of the last to remain hunter-gatherers. Their language is considered Paleo-African, and their total population is estimated at around 1,300 people, distributed in families spread throughout the area. Then, the Datoga. This is a semi-nomadic, Nilotic-speaking ethnic group. One of the oldest peoples in Tanzania, they are farmers, herders, and also fierce warriors. They are excellent blacksmiths. They use scrap metal to make iron and copper items, such as arrowheads, which they trade with the Hadzabe tribe. They also make beautiful knives, hoes, bracelets, and necklaces (available for purchase).
The safari is a four-day, three-night tour of Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro (one at a Karatu Lodge and two in separate tented camps located within the Serengeti). The safaris are breathtaking. The contemplation of these mythical natural spaces and their wild inhabitants is moving. The expertise of Luis, Silva, and Charles (the native driver-guides) is evident here. There are hundreds of vehicles circulating through the parks (they're all the same), but Luis stands out from the rest for several reasons. He demonstrates his vast knowledge of wildlife and nature in general with a diction that captivates you from the first minute. He also knows the parks and has a sixth sense for spotting opportunities depending on the time of day and the weather. He imbues his companions with a passion that overflows, and all of this results in the success of the mission. With Luis, you don't just see animals. You experience animal life. And in addition to the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos), we saw more than fifty different species of reptiles, birds, and mammals. An absolute success.
Don't hesitate. This is the Tanzanian agency that will allow you to enjoy the delights of this trip with the greatest possible satisfaction.

Completely amazing from start to end !
I had the most amazing experience with Meru Slopes during my Mount Meru climb and safari in Tarangire. From start to finish, the team was absolutely incredible, with flawless organization that made me feel safe at every moment. Everything during the ascent was perfectly calculated and I’ve never felt so well taken care of.
A special mention goes to our guide Kennedy, who is a true professional in every sense of the word. He has climbed Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro hundreds of times, and with his kindness, experience and professionalism, you know you are in the very best hands. He could probably do the route with his eyes closed, and his guidance made the whole adventure not only safe but also unforgettable.
From a logistics point of view, everything was made easy: transfers, coordination and communication were seamless. They responded quickly and effectively to every single request.
There are many companies in Tanzania, but after speaking with other travelers who chose different ones, I can confidently say that Meru Slopes is by far the best choice and offers the best value for money.

Exellent, good organized and safe trip
I spent a long time choosing the right company for my safari, and in the end I decided to go with Meru Slopes. At first, my safari was supposed to be private for two people, but at the last minute my plans changed and I ended up traveling alone.
My main contact throughout the whole process was Almachius, who helped me with absolutely everything. He always replied incredibly fast, understood my situation, and selected the best lodges and camps for me. Even when I confirmed the booking at the very last minute, he offered me excellent alternatives that were just as good as the original ones. Everything was organized perfectly, precisely and on time. I was picked up at the Arusha airport and brought directly to my hotel after landing. The next morning, Almaachius came personally to introduce me to my driver.
A very special thank you goes to my driver, Florian, who accompanied me during my five-day safari through Tanzania’s national parks. He explained absolutely everything, patiently answered all of my questions, and shared so much knowledge about the wildlife and the country itself. He has incredible expertise about all kinds of animals and a very sharp eye for spotting even the most hidden ones. Each day was a surprise for me, as we managed to see animals I never expected to encounter.
On the very first day in Tarangire National Park, we saw so many species—almost everything that can be found there—and every new day brought a new adventure. I always felt completely safe with my driver. The food was excellent, and the overall care and attention were on the highest level. I can strongly recommend this company not only for families, but also for solo travelers, because with them everything feels reliable and secure.
I also want to highlight my driver’s professionalism. Even in unexpected situations, he always reacted 100%, and I never once felt unsafe. I was confident he was doing his job at the very highest standard. Thanks to his keen eye, we managed to see almost all of the Big Five—only the rhino was missing. But we will leave that for my next safari, which I definitely plan to do with my family and, of course, with the same company. Because once you find such an amazing team, there is no need to look for anything else—you already have the best.

Fantastic and experienced tour guide and travel director
Jackson Kitesho from Top Selected Tours was our African tour director and personal guide for our 6 day safari across Northern & Central Serengeti, Lake Tarangire, Ngorogoro crater and Lake Munyara, Tanzania. He was fantastic with an incredible knowledge and engaging stories of local and tribal cultures, landscapes and animals. His English was excellent. He was very experienced and clearly respected by other guides. We were able to see the river crossing of the Great Migration which was one of the many highlights. Across the safaris, Jackson was able to spot animals from far away and get us up close. We felt very safe & confident with his driving. He washed his car daily so it was always a delight to start each day on safari.
Jackson organized our whole African itinerary (20 days in different countries), gave advice about what we might like to do, organized great accommodations and connected us with great local tour guides/ companies in other countries. He was very quickly responsive to my hundreds of questions on WhatsApp and gave advice as to what we needed to pack and visas. The whole trip was very reasonably priced compared to other quotes we had. You couldn’t find any better and I highly recommend him and his business.

They provided wonderful and unforgettable days for us.
The tour was great. We had wonderful guides who showed us so many animals and told us a lot about their behaviour and their way of life. To me these days belong to the highlights in my life.

NafiKa Tours made every moment unforgettable.
I joined NafiKa Tours for a safari in the Serengeti. It was nothing short of unforgettable. Despite the long hours of driving, our guide remained patient, warm, and full of knowledge. He pointed out the geography of the Serengeti and helped us observe the incredible wildlife with care. Whether it was handing me a telescope to catch sight of distant animals, or showing me illustrations from his guidebook to explain species and their behaviors, he made sure this wasn’t just sightseeing—it was a deep, meaningful encounter with nature.
