Our recent 4-day safari with Serengeti African Tours was nothing short of incredible, a truly unforgettable holiday we'll cherish forever. From the very first inquiry until the moment we departed, Safina ensured every detail was meticulously handled and tailored to our desires, making this one of the best travel experiences we've ever had.
Safina's exceptional planning meant a seamless journey from start to finish. The airport transfers were perfectly timed, we enjoyed a delightful stay at the lovely farm house in Arusha, and the beautiful lodges during our safari provided comfort and charm. The absolute highlight, the hot air balloon experience, was arranged flawlessly, without a single hiccup. We truly cannot thank her enough for her dedication and for making our entire experience so incredibly smooth and amazing.
Our safari was expertly guided by Fadhil, who proved to be the best driver and guide we could have ever asked for. Fadhil's knowledge and keen eye meant we literally saw every single animal on our bucket list! We had so many "wow" moments; it's not everyday you get to witness a plain in the Serengeti dotted with over 30 giraffes, baby lions peeking curiously from a cave, a leopard cub patiently waiting on his mum, and baby elephants with the most endearing zoomies! He made the safari the most unforgettable part of our trip. His wonderful, informative, and engaging personality made our experience extra special, and we genuinely loved getting to know him. We couldn't have wished for a better tour guide to lead us through the incredible Tanzanian wilderness.
Lastly we can not forget everyone in the different lodges and the chef who made sure we were comfortable, had the best experience ever and the tastiest food.

Amazing safari, you won’t regret it!
We had the time of our lives on our first safari ever! Adam was our driver/guide and he was amazing, very knowledgeable, accommodating and entertaining! Even though this is the height of Safari-Season, we never felt rushed or crowded by other cars, saw all of the Big 5, and even got lucky enough to see a Cheetah and her cub, two leopards and two rhinos. Lots of other baby animals. The accommodations were well-located and beautiful. From the moment we stepped out of the airport we felt very well taken care of up until we were dropped off again, no issues. I highly recommend this Safari, especially with Adam!

Big thank you to Ben and Tim for a fantastic game drive in Nairobi National Park and trip to the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary and Giraffe Centre, and even the Karen Blixen Museum. Excellent driving and a wealth of expert knowledge about the animals, birds and environment more generally! Thoroughly recommended!

They had the best driver/guide!
The tour was amazing. We saw way more animals than we expected and a great variety. The Driver was exceptional and worked with our group to keep everybody happy. He had a lot of knowledge about the animals. And kept us informed of what to expect next and what time to meet every morning.

Fantastic!
We did the one day safari in Pilanesberg with Desmond as our guide. He was fantastic! Funny, knowledgeable, and committed to giving us a great experience. We saw all of the big 5 up close except the leopard which is hard to spot. We also saw lots of other animals. Highly recommend particularly Desmond!

Wonderful tour, our guide Desmond was enlightened and knowledgeable. He entertained and informed us throughout the tour. In addition he showed us many animals Lion. Elephant , Giraffe. Rhino, Hippo, Wildebeest, Mongoose and Warthog and much more.

A huge letdown of a company for an amazing experience
We saw an incredible amount of wildlife — lions, elephants, giraffes, even cheetahs — and the Serengeti itself is unforgettable. But sadly, the way this company operates seriously let us down.
They don’t run the safaris themselves — they take your money, then place you in a driver’s vehicle and disappear. The guide we had had never even seen the itinerary we were sold. I booked a 4-day safari with full game drives advertised everyday with Days 2 and 3 in the Serengeti. In reality, we arrived at 4:30pm on Day 2 and left by 2pm on Day 3 — barely 24 hours total. On the Day 4 we left Ngorongoro crater at 11am after being promised ‘full day’ safaris.
Worse, the company dismissed multiple messages during the trip. I gave them a chance to step in and fix things twice, asking for more game drives — all I got were generic AI-sounding replies and no action. The guide refused to change anything, saying it was his “normal” schedule and he doesn’t know what itinerary i’m talking about.
One day, we had to leave cheetahs mid-hunt and rush out of the Serengeti and on the last day the same thing to meet someone else’s flight — a recurring issue, as different people join each day with their own constraints. When I raised this, they were rude and dismissive, saying things like, “Well, on a private safari… you could have done this.” They try and pin the blame on the fact its a shared/ joining safari which is an easy cop out to try and blame you, but when you look around most people on safari are on group tours.
I booked a shared safari happily with a clear itinerary in writing in an information pack sent by them. What I got was about 60% of that — with no apology, no refund, just an attempt of a sales pitch after the trip for a taxi and hotel after they had already taken over $600 per person. All their information pack and inclusions are all lies.
The animals were amazing — but this company does not deliver what it promises. Go for someone else who delivers what they promise. You will love safari but pick the right company! Be cautious.
