Gorilla trek
Francis was amazing! We booked the 5 day gorilla and chimp trek. We were initially skeptical about booking from a company we did not know but decided to based on his reviews. This did not disappoint. The hotels were nice, moderate accommodations. Be sure to manage expectations, for example there might not be hot water at one of the hotels and there is a lot of driving so plan accordingly. We saw so many animals, and the boat safari was better than expected. The hikes are somewhat difficult but we managed to see chimps and gorillas. Francis picked one of the easier routes for my group of 4 and he was so kind and accommodating. We did get porters for the gorilla trek. I highly recommend doing so if you are not used to hiking. We were concerned about rain during this time of year, but it was warm and sunny when we did the hike. We wore light long sleeve shirts and light rain jackets. This trip is definitely worth it, not just money wise, worth the time spent driving. You might want to bring packable back packs/duffles to keep your stuff in the truck if you are leaving your luggage somewhere or try to pack light. It does get quite dusty even on the drives between locations. Most if not all hotels have cleaning services if you have time to wait. Be sure to bring cash to tip your guides.

An Unforgettable East African Safari with the Best Guide & Team
For anyone planning a safari in East Africa, look no further. Our guide, Julius, was the heart of our amazing trip. His 18 years of experience, responsible nature (he got us up early for the best game viewing!), and strict adherence to rules (while cleverly communicating with other guides) ensured we saw everything.
He's also a kind and helpful person, a father of five who went the extra mile with luggage and keeping the car clean.
Also, a special thanks to Narry for his role in organizing our tour. He was tremendously energetic and helpful during the booking stage, which set the tone for the entire adventure.
An impeccable service from start to finish. Thank you, Julius and Narry

Well organised and enjoyable tour.
We loved every moment of our 4 day safari. The tour itself was well organised and communication throughout was good. Value for money was fantastic and our guide made sure we had the best game drive experience possible. Be prepared for a lot of driving though! Would recommend this company to everyone.

After my workshop in Kampala Uganda , I was eager to visit mabamba swamp , since am a birder , I was so eager to see that rare bird.
Fortunately the hotel I slept at (K HOTELS ) recommended to me Gorilla specialist.
We got in touch , Prisca was spot on , we linked up and they took me on a shot visit to mabamba.
For city tour and Entebbe tours , give it to Gorilla Specialist.

My daughter and I had a great experience visiting Masai Mara for 2 nights and great accommodation with great game drive’s seeing all the big animals, cats etc with Andrew our driver who was very helpful and knowledgeable. We then went to Nakuru park and saw the Rhinos, Flamingos and many more animals, again great accommodation . Then to Lake Navasha where we took a boat trip and safari walk which was nice and chilled. Then on to Ambosselli for 2 nights to see lots of elephants and other wildlife and see the beautiful Kilimanjaro

Unforgettable Safari with African Big Cats – Professional & Caring Local Operator
We had an incredible safari experience with African Big Cats and would recommend them wholeheartedly.
Highlights:
Our guide was polite, knowledgeable, and patient, explaining species and behaviours in detail, which enriched the drives.
Lodging was excellent at Lake Burunge Tented Camp and Moyo Tented Camp (Moonbow was more average).
Food was outstanding — especially for Indians, with many familiar flavours.
Accommodation staff were warm, courteous, and eager to engage in explaining wildlife.
The safari vehicle was well-equipped (drinks, chargers, binoculars, etc.), and despite the unforgiving terrain, we had no breakdowns.
The game drives were unforgettable: elephants, giraffes, and zebras in Tarangire, the unique ecosystem of Ngorongoro, and Serengeti’s breathtaking wilderness with lions and even a jaguar sighting.
Operator Service:
What stood out most was the professionalism and care of African Big Cats. They provided clear briefings and debriefings, were open to feedback, and when our AC failed during the long, hot, and dusty drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti, it was very inconvenient. But technical issues are understandable in such unforgiving terrain. Impressively, our guide Ben fixed it the same evening and the team even upgraded our accommodation as a gesture of goodwill and compensation — a truly appreciated touch that showed how much they care about customer experience. Being a local operator, choosing them also means directly supporting the local community and economy.
Suggestions for Tourists:
Be prepared for long transfers between parks on unpaved, bumpy roads. Carry a dust mask if you’re sensitive, and check vehicle AC beforehand.
Manage expectations — spotting big cats is not as frequent as in documentaries. The thrill lies in the unpredictability and seeing wildlife coexist in their natural habitat.
Discuss pacing with your operator so you have enough downtime between drives. If your stay is under one week, spend more time in Serengeti and skip Lake Manyara park.
Overall:
An extremely satisfying safari with African Big Cats — professional, hospitable, and authentic. With small adjustments to vehicle readiness and realistic expectations, it’s close to perfect.

Enthusiastic, great customer service, flexible, passionate about animals & community.
We experienced a 5 day tour of three parks. Prompt service, on-time, flexible, highly reliable and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent local knowledge of Kenya, the parks and where to find the animals. Good value for money and 'always ready' with a smile. We met four guides and all were highly professional. If had to go back to Kenya I would use Joseph and will recommend to friends and family.

Special Thanks to Our Guides
We'd like to extend a special thanks to our driver, Agustino, and our Spanish-speaking guide, Dani. Agustino expertly navigated the challenging roads to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, while Dani was always attentive and ready to explain every detail. They are both incredibly dedicated, attentive, and kind professionals who made our safari unforgettable.
