Awesome local-run tour company with a knowledgeable team.
We had a great private tour for our safari. They coordinated our stay in Nairobi the first night, picked us up the next morning, and then drove us out to the Maasai Mara for the Wildlife Tour. Our driver, David, was an experienced driver with over 20 years as a tour driver. I highly suggest visiting Lake Nivasha for the “Walking Safari” as well. I would recommend you to be confirm your arrangements via email and you may have to reach out to your hotels directly for a peace of mind, but this company is legit and their pricing was fair. I would definitely book with them again.

Our tour operator was amazing. We had a great time with him.
We had a 5 day Safari organised by Ozonlighttours. It was an amazing experience and we had a really great time. Our Safariguide was Prayer. We were really amazed on the knowledge from our guide. He always made sure we got the best spot for our pictures of the animlas and he gave us enough time to watch the animals. Prayer was a great guide and we had a amazing Time with him.

We had a truly woulderful expirience on the safari. Everything was very well organized from the hotel accommodation to the lunch during the safari. This made the trip smooth and very enjoyable.
The highlight of the safari (next to the animals) was defintely our guide Prayer. He did everything to ensure that we had the best possible expirience. He took the time to search for animals and explained things with great patience. We always felt very safe and well taken care of. His kindness, humor and attention to our needs made the trip unforgetable. We will come back, so thank you for this fantastic expirience!

Great custom-made safari
We (4 people) spend 2 weeks on a private, custom-made Safari in Kenia and Tanzania with Roadside. A quick summary is that we had a wonderful time and definitely recommend them to anybody who wants a great experience.
Getting everything organized was easy and efficient, Zephania was very quick to answer all our questions and provide us with updates. We were able to take his base idea for the itinerary and customize it further to suit our needs - we added a park, added a night here and there, removed one stop as we had done it a few years back, nothing was ever an issue.
Once on the safari, everything went smoothly and according to plan. We were joined by three different guides (one at the beginning in Kenia, then one in Tanzania, and then another one in Kenia) and all of them were very flexible: if we wanted to set off a bit earlier, it was possible; if we wanted a full-day game drive without going back to the lodge for lunch, it was possible as well. In general, we stayed in the parks full days most of the time, and it was always possible. We are photographers with big lenses, and the guides were understanding and cooperative in terms of stopping the car for the best angles and lighting. They also seemed very passionate about their work, and we even got a few extras during our time there that were outside of our itinerary (shout out to Keffa for the second game drive in Nakuru and the boat ride in Naivasha). A very special thanks to Man man (Walter) for his enthusiasm and relentlessness, he really did all physically possible to show us what we desired to see (gnu crossing the Mara river!), and he always delivered. He was one of, if not the best, guide we've ever had, anywhere.
We are already planning on going back in a couple of years, and if we do, Roadside will definitely be the company we will contact to organize everything again.

Truly amazing!
We had a fantastic time in Kenya on our 10-day safari!
Hellen’s support was perfect from the planning of the trip to its execution. She was always available and responded very quickly to all questions. Among many other things, she also organized a balloon safari in the Maasai Mara for us.
Nicholas, our guide and driver, was truly amazing! He showed us an incredible number of animals — including the Big Five — and we saw them up close. We also learned a lot about the country and its culture.
The lodges and camps were all very beautiful and wonderfully located.
I have celiac disease which can make traveling difficult. However, Hellen und Nicolas really put my mind at ease by ensuring that all lodges were informed and prepared accordingly and I always had plenty of options to choose from. They even went above and beyond to organize a birthday surprise with a gluten free birthday cake for me.

Amazing company, extremely caring staff and team, professional guides and overall great experience!
We did the 8 day Lemosho Route with Mboni as a couple. We had an amazing team of guides, a cook and 8 incredible porters who took all our equipment and often helped us carry our bags when they saw we were tired. The entire team did everything to make us happy throughout the whole trek and were so friendly and sweet. The food was amazing (thanks to Nixon the chef), the team had a portable toilet that was changed and cleaned several times a day, the experience was so much better than anticipated when imagining the conditions of a trek like this. The team even saw that one of us was a little sick, and they made us ginger and lemon tea from then on until we were better. When it rained they made sure every part of our tent was secure and no water could come in by digging around it and making sure we were warm and dry. We especially want to point out Charles, who was so charming and had an amazing optimistic and friendly personality, came to our tent in the evenings and mornings to provide absolutely anything we needed, including our food, hot drinks, hot water for washing ourselves and filling our drinking water and heat pads. He was a delight and we recommend him as a porter and waiter, along with all the other porters- Boniphace, Tumaini, Bashiri, Erick, Frederick, Ayoub and Freddy.
Our guides Chami and Abu Baker were so professional, caring and did everything to make sure we got to the top of the mountain, and they were genuinely proud of us when we reached the summit. They even checked our oxygen every morning and night and made sure we were feeling OK and healthy at all times. Both of them were so nice to work with and we are very happy we had them as our guides.
The Mboni staff was extremely caring and helpful from the minute we started the process until after we had left Moshi. Jackson and Maryam cared for everything, including our hotel stays the night before and after the trek, helped us even after the trek was over and really went out of their way to make sure we had a positive experience.
All in all we definitely recommend Mboni tours and the amazing team.
