well planned
The accommodation choice could have been better. Other than that, it was well planned and executed. The van was great for a small group as well. Most importantly, Freddy was trustworthy!

Great safari
The tour was great, ask for Joseph as a driver. Great to see the migration in Masai Mara. The animals obviously don't care how much you pay for your tour. Lake Nakura was a little bit boring after the visit to Masai Mara, rather spend a day more in Masai Mara then going to Lake Nakuru National Park. Organisation at Great Horizon Trails is a bit poor, as I had to pay an advance which was claimed that they did not receive it, so i had to pai it again in cash. I had to wait for over 2 month to get my money back and it required many phonecalls. But tour was still great.

An excellent tour with Mnyau M. Abi
We booked our tour with Mr. Mnyau M. Abi (0686085022) from Das Es Salaam and went there by bus. Mr. Abi waited for us at the bus station and from that moment we were in very safe hands. With him we went to the national park where we made very beautifull pictures because he drew very near at the animals (even the lions). Also he knew the answers to alle our questions on the park. In the park where only 3 other cars and there were very many young animals. The next day we went to the Sanje waterfalls in Udzungwa Mountains National Park. At the top of te waterfalls we had an excellent vieuw and saw the rare apes. Mr. Abi took care of our breakfest, lunch and accommadation (of course after which we made clear our desires) and even took care that we got the tickets and the right bus back to Dar (he got the faretickets which we could not get at the bus station). It was for me and my wife a very relaxed tour in which we saw and experienced more than we had expected.

Review about Tanzania by Jan Hendriks
Tanzania has much wildlife in parks which are not so crowded visited. For that you need a good gide to bing you near the animals. We had an excellent guide. The known parks are to expensive and there are to many tourist being there. In Mikumi it is cheaper and there are a few tourists and you can see all the game (except the rinoceros.

Great safari, but sometimes a bit wet.
We were 6 people on a 4 day safari. We had a great guide and a great chef who were very helpful. We had a very good time on the gamerides and saw all the animals we had wanted to as well as the great migration. The only downside was that the camping equipment wasn't fully capable of handling the rainy season, so we had 1-2 wet nights. Our guide and chef were very helpful when this happened, but I still think it would be a good idea to upgrade the camping equipment to avoid this in the future.
Good,helpful agent
Go out of their way to book exclusive experience. We had excellent stay at Mara Serena safari lodge

We were captivated by the pulse of the bush and variety of wildlife encountered.
We were very fortunate to see plenty of wildlife & had the awesome experience of coming across a pride of lions with their zebra kill at 4.30am very near our camp. The recent drought had taken its toll on the vegetation but the scenery was still interesting. We stayed at Satara & Lower Sabie Camps which were both very adequate & allowed us to self-cater breakfast & lunch & to either bbq or eat in the restaurant for dinners. I would recommend taking your own groceries as the choices at the camps we somewhat limited. We self-drove which was fantastic because it gave us flexibility in gaming times & when we could stop. We were on the road each day at 4.30, back at camp for lunch, swim & rest then out again late afternoon. I am a keen photographer and was like a kid in a candy store with all the photo opportunities that Kruger National Park presented but I am now keen to visit Sabi Sands and/or Okavango Delta where I understand the sightings are more frequent per kilometre travelled. This trip has certainly put the unique African bush & wildlife in our hearts & we can't wait to return in the near future.

Lots of animals & birds to sight in their natural habitat. The bush has a certain unique beauty about it but the drought had dried up a lot of creek beds & vegetation. It's exciting to witness wild animals in the wild - almost surreal at times.
