Very professional and accommodating
4/5

Very prompt in the communication . Were able to also arrange a car seat for our child travelling with us. We could not have asked for a better guide than Julius. Highly recommended!

An experience of a lifetime
4/5

Communication and service was prompt and Mike answered any questions or requests. Our Kenya tour experience was amazing.
Very basic information was given about arrangements to transfer into Tanzania and we often felt we did not know what was going on. Then on arrival in Arusha our itinerary was changed last minute by the contact in Tanzania (Abraham) this should have been addressed at the time of originally booking. Abraham stated that the time frame was not sufficient to do the tour we had booked. I feel that the change was also more convenient from Abrahams point of view.
However, our safari tours overall were wonderful and full of animals and unique experiences.

Good Budget safari company.
4/5

My guide was terrific he was always concerned for our safety and comfort. The cook was good, although he didn't have much to work with. You definitely don't go on these budget safari's hoping for gourmet meals! Everything went as planned, even though we had an issue with our truck, it seems like these guys are jacks of all trades. For sure would go again with a group I knew. I went as a tag along with a pre-booked group. That wasn't the best idea; but regardless it forced me to reach outside of my group to make some friends. Turned out they will be life-long friends. Great way to see Africa without spending a fortune !

Great experience
4/5

Just came back from a 3-day safari in Masai Mara with our friendly guide Anthony. It was an awesome time; saw lots of animals (no leopards or rhinos, though) and had a great experience. Robert was professional, quick to respond to changes in our itinerary and quick to respond to our inquiries. Anthony was friendly, always smiling and knowlegeable about the park, the animals and Kenya in general. Sad to see that so many animals seem to have disappeared compared to 20 yrs ago, but would definitely recommend safari to anyone, especially with Beacon. We stayed at the Sopa lodge, which was luxurious, had great food and drinks! Relaxing to come back to after a day of driving on rough terrain :)

A very good safari
4/5

The safari was great. We got to see all the big 5 and many hunting scenes. Our tour safari Gerard spoke a good Italian and told us about the animals and the place while driving. What we really appreciated the most is that he told us not to feed the birds at the pic nic spot. That showed us that he was respectful of the nature and of the laws of the park.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by princetontigeruk
Overall rating
4/5

You have to be in Ngorongoro on the right day to experience all the wildlife that prospers there. Sometimes you can be just unlucky. But the crater is an amazing sight - it is so vast that you cannot see it all properly in one go. It is worth going but be prepared to have an "off" day.

Elephants and baobabs galore - there was something to see every minute we were out on the road.
Overall rating
4/5

Wildlife - to see herds and herds of elephants - and a mix of sizes within each herd - is truly magnificent. Tarangire is the place to see elephants, especially after calving season. We went in December and had two game drives - one in the late afternoon and one in the early morning. The early morning one was better as the elephants were all seeking shade in the afternoon sun and so did not venture near the roads. (Cars are not allowed to leave the roads). There were many highlights but one was something you don't even think of looking for: two dung beetles rolling their ball of dung. Another was a dancing crane. Maybe it wasn't dancing but it was moving so gracefully and elegantly it was like a dance.
Parts of the park were flooded after the heavy rains of November and early December but the accessible areas were very varied in terrain and scenery. It is not a very big park and you can see parts that will already feel familiar on your second drive.
We stayed at the Tarangire Lodge within the National Park - it is a simple but beautiful lodge with a huge outdoor seating area overlooking the river. It is on a hill and so you can see for miles around. Come equipped with binoculars of course. Good food even for vegetarians. This lodge is not as big as some so there was a cosy feeling in the dining room.
Our trip had been organised through Shah Tours in Moshi as we did a package for Kilimanjaro, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. The safari car was quite good with the open roof but these seem to be standard with most companies that provide such game drives. The guide could have been better but again there are so many local national park guides that are well informed. The drive from Moshi via Arusha to Tarangire was remarkable too - you see so many Masai dressed in the most colourful cloth and little children splashing about in the water.
