Perfect summit tour of Kilimanjaro!
5/5

From start to finish, the tour company was totally professional! Our guide Justin, cook Emmanuel, and porters Valerian, Juma, Munasa, Eric, and Hibaru were so friendly, professional and amazingly hard workers. Justin definitely assembled a team that I can recommend to everyone!

I made it to the summit if Kilimanjaro with Justin and valerian's encouragement!

By the end, I felt like we were all old friends or family, and I feel like I'm actually their friend now!

Highly recommend!

Such an amazing trip , we will never forget
5/5

I submitted a request to a number of operators to plan a group trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar for August 2022. I was matched with Noel. His travel company Red Soil Safaris has surpassed our expectations and provided an amazing experience we will never forget. The accommodations were top rated, and we had a fantastic time there. In fact, all the accommodations we stayed at were phenomenal. They were beautiful, clean, each room had an amazing view, the staff were very attentive, and the food was top notch. Noel even planned a few surprises for our group at the Camp in Serengeti.
Noel booked all of our in-country transfers (both by car and plane). All we had to do was show up at the lobby of each accommodation at the time specified and everything else was taken care of. Our driver Peter was exceptional as well. We spent our 8 days Safari through Tarangire, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Manyara and a cultural tour in Lake Eyasi which was out of the world experience. Our driver had many years’ experience, he was very knowledgeable about all of the animals. Within 5 minutes landing at the air strip, he took us straight to see many of the animals, especially a family of cheetahs eating their prey! On our morning game drive, we saw lions feasting on a buffalo, we also saw a leopard with a vulture in a tree.
We then ended the trip visiting Zanzibar’s beaches, a spice tour & Stone Town.
I highly recommend using Noel and his travel company for travel tours, safaris and vacations in the future and look forward to working with him again! Asante sana!

Amazing Memories Safaris is Tour Operator Par Excellence
5/5

Although this wasn’t our family’s first safari, this trip is absolutely one for the books, with all credit going to Amazing Memories Safaris. It took 2+ years of planning because pandemic struck and our originally intended trip for 2020 did not materialize until August 2022. Despite everything being in a constant state of flux inherent in covid times, the staff of Amazing Memories remained unperturbed and pulled out all the stops through every last-minute change and cancellation.

Here’s how our story unfolded. Upon finding out that Kenya Air offers nonstop flights between NY and Nairobi, our family decided to begin and end our safari in Kenya. I started my research and planning with an email blast to countless local (Kenya-based) tour operators. I quickly narrowed down my choices, with Amazing Memories Safaris eventually emerging the winner. I was sold. Anne consistently showed herself to be a paragon of grace and patience and sincerity. Her and Wangechi’s responses to my queries were prompt and detailed. Communication with Anne remained uninterrupted, even while she was on leave (something I did not even know until much later). She was honest and forthcoming with her explanations and never gave false reassurances. I recall one day receiving an email from Anne, asking if I would like to change a certain accommodation in my itinerary to one she found to be lower-priced yet better in amenities and location! She and Wangechi took the time to understand and work so diligently on my preferences, so much so that it felt like nothing was impossible with them. All these while staying within my strict budget! And let me emphasize, too, that on top of such impeccable customer service, they also gave the lowest quote! No kidding.

Our week-long journey spanned Kenya and Tanzania, to include Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Amboseli. To provide us with a full range of experience, Anne arranged our accommodations to run from the relatively basic to the fanciest (2 tented camps and 2 lodges). We loved Every. Single. One. Each accommodation had its own unique charm and warm touches—and each was simply perfect in its own way! Another proof of how Anne read me like a book and was so in tune with my likes and inclinations.

Now on to the guides, the backbone of the safaris. We had Joseph M in Kenya, and he simply takes the cake! We can’t say enough wonderful things about him because…what’s not to love? He was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, warm, entertaining with a great sense of humor, and drove with such skill that it felt like he was one with the road. He’d always go over and beyond to keep us in awe! The amount of wildlife we saw because of Joseph was unbelievable. We even witnessed a migration of wildebeests and zebras at the Mara River and they passed right in front of us, an unforgettable sight to behold. We truly hated saying goodbye to Joseph when he finally dropped us off at the airport. Our guide in Tanzania was Santos, and he was remarkable as well. Like Joseph, he was knowledgeable and patient and flexible. Joseph had already fulfilled 4 of the Big Five. Now it was up to him to find us the elusive rhino. And sure enough, Santos delivered! We also got to marvel at a wildebeest migration right before our eyes, thanks to Santos for taking us to the right place at the right time. For both guides to get us front row seats to the greatest show on earth every time, one can’t get luckier than that!

I can go on and on and on about such a spectacular trip that Amazing Memories Safaris meticulously put together for us. We are definitely going back some day. Our recommendation to everyone: do yourselves a big favor and let the Amazing Memories team assist you with your dream safari. Guaranteed you’ll thank me for it.

Abundance of animals, there is no way anyone can leave QE without having seen every animal group that lives there. The savanna is also pristine and the road is not too bumpy.

We found ourselves in another lush forest, hiking to get to the trackers who had spotted the chimpanzees. Our guide was so informative and her love for chimpanzees was contagious! We were a bit unfortunate because the chimpanzees we found were high up in the trees, never coming down once so we hurt our necks constantly looking up. It was also harder to see them up there, but even so seeing them and hearing their calls and learning so many interesting things about them was well worth the visit.

This is the scenery for Tarzan & Jane story. Our guide would make way with his machete where there was nothing but dense forest in steep mountainside. One could employ porters to help with the trek, which provides income to members of the community that has been relocated away from the gorillas.
A lot of care is shown towards the gorillas, the trackers have established a trusting relationship with the families they track so the animals feel safe in human presence. And still, this is a visit on their terms. You quietly observe them without interacting with them like you would in eg a circus, thus they remain wild and comfortable in their own environment. Priceless!

About: Uganda
Unspoiled and true Africa!
Overall rating
5/5

We went on a tour with Home to Africa that was custom made for us and loved everything about it. Very professional agency from start to end. It is funny how pick season in Uganda means hardly any tourist vehicles around you! We only got to see other tourist cars when visiting Ishasha for the tree climbing lions, and next at the gorilla trekking and that was it.
So we had a lush country to roam like we were the only foreigners in it, winding red dirt roads fenced by dense nature being my favorite. On day one we saw almost every animal there (elephants, water buffaloes, impalas, zebras, birds etc). Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to great numbers of animals and one is sure to spot them very soon into their safari. I particularly loved the misty mountains and the gorilla trekking activity in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. A short but intense adventure that still respects and protects the amazing gorillas.
Lake Bunyonyi is definitely worth a stop over, very serene and picturesque.
Food was excellent (loved rolex!!), no stomach issues although tap water is to be avoided. The weather varied depending on the itinerary, it was hot in the savanna but quite cold up in the misty mountains so t-shirs and fleeces would all serve well. Changing money to local currency is not very easy so you best change at the airport (we tried changing at a bank and they refused saying they would only change 50usd bill or higher!).
Throughout our trip we passed villages and towns, saw up and close the daily routine of the locals and got to meet some of the most polite, welcoming and attentive people I have met in my life. It blows my mind to see what they call "ordinary day" as opposed to what I do. Like when we were escorted to our bungalow and the guide casually directed his flashlight to a herd of implalas that was like 3m away, like right there, resting in the dark among men, feeling safer than the open savanna! The herd was so quiet and it was so dark that we never would've noticed it if he hadn't shown them to us!
Man and nature can co exist in harmony and that is something we need to think of and try to practice more. And this is why I keep returning to Africa.

Wild yet Luxurious. A perfect balance!
5/5

What an incredible experience we had with Lomo! It isn’t easy choosing a tour operator because of all the options out there, but we know that our choice was the right one.

From the attention to detail Lomo showed in replying to our questions before the trip, to the hot lunches, to the great accommodations, and most importantly, to our very knowledgeable guide. It’s one thing to see the animals, another thing to have a guide that is passionate and understands the animals and their environment.

We won’t hesitate to contact Lomo on our next trip to Tanzania!! Thank you for making it an experience of a lifetime! ❤️

We were lucky to find Lion King
5/5

The whole experience was fantastic! Nickson from the office provided great and fast service and was very informative and provided all the needed guidance regarding the upcoming Safari trip. Together with Ms. Pendo we got the most recommended and luxury accommodations which provided us 3 meals a day Inc. lunch boxes and snacks during the activities.
Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge and
Escarpment Luxury Lodge are highly recommended.
Our dear guide Mr. Petro (the "professor" ) made our trip even better than we imagined. He was so professional, kind and friendly and took care about all of our needs. We learned about each and single animal and saw such an amazing scenes during our Safari trip. Mr. Petro is very talented and guided us through the whole journey. Every day was better than the day before. The big migration was amazing and we were lucky to have such experience to see so many animals from different angles.
The service was excellent - starting from the pick up at the airport and drop off, taking care about all of our needs Inc. miniral water and spirits in the car refrigerator. All was arranged properly and the car was cleaned every single day.

I've founded Lion King due to its high rating score and pleased to recommend on their great service!
Thank you for making our honeymoon 10 day trip unforgettable!
