Always ahead.
5/5

I was impressed by the way I was treated by Karibu Team. Specially by Edward Lore, my Guide. Extremely patient and brought me to all the possible spots in the park within 24h . His hi level knowledge of English helped a lot our conversation. I will go back and do a longer safari with Karibu next time.

Well organized and caring
5/5

They mind clients comfort. Very eager to assist even in the smallest of issues. They coordinated my family travel and stay to arrival back home. Their suggestions are helpful for decision making on options that are available depending on our wishes versus the economy.

From start to finish we couldn’t praise Beverly and Leana enough for their patience and professionalism. They went out there way to ensure we all had a trip to remember. We all had a fantastic trip and would highly recommend ASG.

AMAZING! BOOK WITH MAMA SAVANA, NOW!
5/5

We absolutely recommend Mama Savana! We did 3 days in Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro and we saw EVERYTHING.

I booked with Mama Savana because Alex was very quick to respond to all of my questions about what/how/where/when we should book. That, coupled with the amazing online reviews was an easy sell.

Now that we have taken our safari, we could not say enough amazing things about our driver, Harun! He was awesome. He asked us what we were looking for and made sure to focus on those things, but also opened our eyes to other awesome things that we didn't even think we cared to see (who knew hippos were so cool?!). We saw thousands of zebras, wildebeest, and antelope. We also saw several giraffe, elephants, buffalo, and many other smaller animals. We only got to see one rhino from far away but that's because they don't like the cars, so it's tough to catch them.. all of the rest of the animals we saw CLOSE UP (like right next to the vehicle). And for the big cats (our main focus) - we saw 2 cheetahs laying about 5 feet from the vehicle, a few leopards up in trees not too far away (saw one come down and up again), and about THIRTY lions! We told Harun lions were our favorite and we got to see 2 different families (male, female, and cubs), several large lions laying a few feet from the vehicle, some in trees, and on the last day we even saw a few lions eating a wildebeest that they had killed. We had seen so much of everything that the last few hours of our safari, we had time to kill so Harun drove us around so I could take photos of baby animals of all kinds! Boring for him and my boyfriend I'm sure, but I was thrilled!

Harun (and the team) really went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction! After driving us around for 4 days straight, he took us to the market to get a specific souvenir that I wanted, then took us to a local spot for dinner, all before rushing us to the airport.

This is the first review I've ever written for anything in my life - and that's because this experience was once in a lifetime and Alex, Harun, and the rest of the Mama Savana team deserve all of the love!! :)

A few tips for travelers:
- They provide a pair of binoculars (ours did, confirm with Alex), but you'll want one pair per person.
- Bring toilet paper and hand wipes if you prefer to not live without (you eat lunch in the vehicle sometimes, and some bathrooms don't have toilet paper).
- You're in the vehicle all day every day so wear whatever you're comfortable in.. no need to pack boots! I wore sandals and shorts, even as a woman.
- When they ask you if you want to go see the wildebeest migration even though it is the opposite direction, the answer is YES!! It was incredible!!
- Stay at Kubu Kubu lodge for sure! It's amazing. I've stayed in a LOT of hotels and this is one of my favorites, if not my very favorite.

Thank you Natasha
5/5

We have been waiting for this trip for 2 years. After 2 postponements managed perfectly by Natasha, the 3rd was the right one and, early in May, we were able to enjoy the magnificent sites of Somalisa, Bumi Hills and Nyamatusi in Zimbabwe. We had already traveled with Sun Safaris 5 or 6 times (when you love you don't count anymore....) for trips always organized with flawless professionalism by Natasha or her colleagues. Thanks to Natasha for this last trip which will remain a great memory for us.

Joe at Mufasa was very detailed, communicative, and professional!
5/5

Our driver, Moses, was wonderful and we enjoyed his company. We were able to see so much in the Mara - even a leopard! He took very good care of us and was professional. You could tell he was a expert among all the other drivers.

We loved the boutique experience at Zebra Plains. We are glad we went with that option over a larger camp. The food was delicious, the beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. The power went out for a little while and the water line broke the day we were leaving. Zebras stomped on it in the middle of the night. It didn’t bother us. It just added to the overall experience of life on the Mara.

I was thoroughly impressed with the communication with Mufasa Tours. I appreciated the timely responses and even the follow up the day before the trip just to confirm pick up time. Mufasa Tours is knowledgeable and handled everything with great detail and care. We felt very well taken care of.

I will definitely book with Mufasa again if I need another safari adventure!

Amazing Safari Experience ! Asante to Bariki !!
5/5

I organized a 3 nights/4 days safari : ( Tarangire-Serengeti-Ngorongoro) with Gosheni for May 2022

The first point of contact at the time was Pendo, a sale agent. She has been incredible and gave an answer to all my questions despite my numerous questions and my back and forth, and helped with coming up with a final itinerary.

Even though my trip date was around the corner, Peter, the managing director accomodated me with a last mn change to my itinerary ( involving driver picking me up earlier than planned and even waiting for me for almost 2 hours). Peter also took the time, the day of the trip, to do a quick recap of all my stops, and that was appreciated.

But the best of the BEST goes to Bariki, my guide and driver ! From the moment he picked me up , he has been very welcoming and very professional. I have felt very secure, considering also that I was a solo female traveler.
Bariki is very fluent in english and have answered literally ALL my requests. He shared a lot of interesting knowledge on animals, on the Massai tribe and on Tanzania in general : he knew so much and had an answer to ALL the questions I could potentially have.
Although the drive was long between each national parks, he somehow made it feel shorter since he was such a nice company driver. Not to mention he teached me so many words in swahili during that trip and was a good photographer.

All and all, Bariki did make my safari trip "absolutely" memorable - so much that I almost felt sad when the 4 days safari came to an end.

I had the MOST amazing experience and 100% recommend this company to anyone coming to Tanzania or Kenya !

Not to mention, at the end of my safari, a random person in the park from another company, came to me, and told me I had made a good choice to travel with Gosheni as they recently obtained an award in 2021 for being one of the bests and a leading company among more than 200 safari companies in Tanzanian This comforted me even more in my choice

Knowledgable, experienced, great value for money
5/5

Gideon has a wealth of experience having been a guide for 37 years for various large safari companies.
Him and his team organised a first class 2 day, 1 night mobile safari for us at very short notice and at a really great price.
We slept in tents with comfortable beds. They also had a shower and latrine out the back which was attached to the tent - to prevent any encounters with animals overnight!
We ate delicious food cooked by Wilson and Lee over the fire and slept to the sounds of hyena's, hippos and lions.
Gideon and Daddy (second guide on our trip) did not stop during our drives to ensure we saw as much as possible. They both had so much knowledge to share with us and it was a pleasure to learn more about the bush.

We also organised a day mokoro trip through Gideon. The delta is unbelievably peaceful and beautiful at the same time as being full of large, and scary animals, such as hippos and crocs. It was an amazing way to experience the delta.
