After thorough research on Safari Bookings, we decided to use Giltedge to book our safari. We originally booked it for August 2020, but then re-booked to 2021, and then to 2022. They made this process very easy for us and we did not incur any additional charges.
The booking process was very smooth. We knew of two properties we wanted to visit, and we let our Giltedge representative recommend two others based on our preferences. The lodges they recommended were incredible and they really hit the mark by sending us to a lodge with a very high concentration of zebras- my favorite animal. They were able to work within our budget to give us exactly the kind of experience we wanted.
We had never been to Africa and we were nervous about this trip and the logistics. But everything was made very clear and easy by Giltedge. While we were on the trip, all of our transfers arrived in a timely manner and every person we encountered was very helpful and friendly. We did a lot of internal travel within Africa (flights to and from Johannesburg, light aircraft) and all the transfers went very smoothly; something I had been a little nervous about beforehand.
When we book our next trip to Africa I will definitely use Giltedge. They were extremely professional, took care of EVERYTHING, and we always felt very well taken care of before, during, and after our adventure.

A successful trip with no surprises
Before leaving, I obtained offers from several local travel agencies. The Mama Savana offer was the most advantageous in terms of the standard we liked. We chose a 5 day private safari. A separate car with a guide / driver was included in the price. Our guide, Harun, was able to spot animals and had extensive knowledge about them. We slept in very comfortable conditions, in beautiful lodges (Lake Manyara Kilima Moya, Ngorongoro Oldean Mountain, Sound of Siliance Tented). There was poor wifi in the first two places. On the first day we visited Tarangire Park, where a lot of animals live in a relatively small area. We spent the next two days in Serengetti, which is a huge park. The access to it itself takes about 3 hours from the place of accommodation, because the access roads are dirt roads. The Ngorongoro crater made a great impression on us due to its picturesque location and lots of animals. On the last day we got to a local village where we watched plantations of bananas, rice etc. This point of the trip was the weakest. Instead, you'd be better off seeing Lake Manyara Park that was on the way. For us, the 5-day trip was optimal, because each park had a different scenery. If someone decides to go on an individual safari (I think this is a better option, because 6 people in the car is a bit tight, there is nowhere to put your luggage and watch the animals freely), I recommend that you arrange a pickup from the airport and return to the airport. We were afraid that we would not get our flights together and we flew to Arusha the day before and left the next day. It was a waste of time because there is really nothing to do in Arusha. It's a pretty gloomy city. After booking the safari, Mama Savana sent us an invoice by e-mail, on the basis of which we paid the advance. We paid the rest on the spot in cash. They also picked us up at the airport and drove us to the hotel. Everything was in line with the itinerary we agreed on.

Amazing tour operator!
We just finished a 4-day safari which was organized by Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club. This truly was a wonderful experience and they were key in planning our journey. The staff is friendly, flexible and available at all times to provide you with anything you would need.
Regarding the safari in itself, we had the time of our lives! We had an amazing guide called Julius, a very friendly and welcoming person, who did his very best to make us happy and allow us to see as many animals as we could throughout the trip. And we did see a lot of them (even more than we could have hoped!). From cheetahs, to lions & cubs, to hippos and so much more!
Our guide also made sure that we were safe at all times and he provided us with a lot of information on the nature and the animals surrounding us.
In conclusion, don't hesitate one second to book your safari with Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club and make sure to ask for Julius to make your trip even better!

Trip of a lifetime!
Thanks to Federica's efficient and thorough organisation we had a fantastic safari experience in Botswana followed by a visit to the magnificent Victoria Falls. Federica is a very knowledgeable, friendly and cheerful guide and tour operator and we would definitely travel with her again. Everything was perfect from the transport to the comfortable tents and the tasty food. We couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommended!

Unforgettable Experience
This lifetime trip was my graduation gift from my mother and Lappet Faced Safaris facilitated our Safari experience between Kenya and Tanzania to make our trip memorable and unforgettable. Our 6 days Kenya’s “Masai Mara” guide Joseph was very professional. Joseph was punctual, experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent driver. Our dream came true thanks to the professionalism of Suricata Safari. Everything was perfect, organized in the best way. Wonderful time on a long awaited trip
Our trip was originally booked for 2020, however COVID changed things for everyone. We finally were able to make the trip this August and couldn't have been happier. SunUp did a great job with our original booking. They are flexible in customizing the published itineraries. For example, we wanted to stay in a tented camp when we visited Mara instead of a traditional lodge. We also requested an add on first day to visit Nairobi National park and have lunch at Carnivore restaurant (Definitely try the Dawa drink if you go there!). Communication was top notch throughout the entire process.
Speaking specifically about the Safari, it was fantastic. We saw all of the big 5 plus many more animals. In may instances the animals walked just mere feet away from the vehicle. It was amazing to see wildlife out in nature in a way that you never could in a zoo. Highlights of our Safari were actually seeing a Leopard (the most elusive of the big 5), watching two male giraffes fight, and watching a baby elephant nurse. Our driver/guide Surat was great. He is eagle eyed in finding animals and very knowledgeable of the various species. The trip was also very interesting because it happened during the presidential election. We had great conversations with Surat about the cultures of the country, the politics, government, conservation and many other topics. He has a real passion for his job, his country, and the wildlife.
