Amazing honeymoon with Lion King
Our experience was amazing. Ozzie was our tour guide and Yusuph was our chef. If you choose to pick Lion King (which I 100% recommend) ask specifically for Ozzie and yusuph. They are a great team that enjoy their jobs and eachother. Ozzie was extremely knowledgeable with all the animals, plants, culture, and indigenous culture. He answered all our questions and made sure we were comfortable at all times. He let us know the schedule for the next day, every day and was with us from day 1 at the airport. During the safari portions he was constantly listening to the radio shared by other operators to see if there were any rare animals around. At one point this paid off as he quickly moved us so that we could see a cheetah up close. Ozzie is an amazing tour guide and an even better human being.. Yusuph is by far the best cook I have ever met. Every meal we were met with fresh food, he woke up at 5 or earlier most days depending on our breakfast time to make our lunch for the safari and then our breakfast. Every dinner we had a 3-course meal that you just couldn't stop eating. We truly felt like a family at the end of the trip, we even exchanged phone numbers to keep in touch. Thank you Ozzie and Yusuph and thank you Lion King Adventures!

Amazing experience with Suricata Safaris
We spent the 4-day safari with Suricata Safari and had a blast! We’ve been so lucky to see the big 5 and dozens of different species. Going back with the head full of memories! The whole experience with Suricata and the quality of lodges proposed were both excellent.
The team has been very friendly and helpful from the very first contact to the end of our trip.
Our driver and guide was super knowledgeable about wildlife and knows the parks inside out, and also the great chef who was traveling with the group and cooking fresh meals every day. I can only recommend Suricata Safari, they’re excellent!

Our tour operators Ken, Emanuel and William were very knowledgeable, entertaining, and awesome.
We were supposed to go on this trip last year, but had to cancel due to Covid. We already paid 20% and were a bit apprehensive whether we'd be able to reschedule our trip. We communicated with Paul and he assured us we could reschedule to go at any time. This summer we decided to go for it since things in East Africa seemed pretty good and we were vaccinated. Paul was very informative and helpful when I tried to organize the trip answering my numerous emails very promptly. When we landed we were pleasantly surprised that our guides have been vaccinated! We began the trip with Ken as our guide in Kenya. We visited lake Naivasha, and then Masai Mara game reserve for several days. Ken was extremely knowledgeable, he knew the name of every animal and bird we encountered. He also had an uncanny ability to find the animals! we would always be the first ones on the scene before all the other jeeps. We were even able to see an immediate aftermath of a lioness hunting a wildebeest. Once we got to the border with Tanzania Ken seamlessly transferred us to into the care of our Tanzanian guide Emanuel who drove us to the Serengeti. We spent a few days in Serengeti which was amazing! Emanuel was just as knowledgeable as Ken, and he also was a big story teller about the culture in Tanzania. He had a little book with some Swahili words and expressions and by the end of 5 days we could say a few of them :). The accommodations in Serengeti were absolutely amazing. It is called tent camping but I've never seen a tent quite like that. The tent had several rooms, a proper shower and bathroom. You could hear and sometimes see the animals right outside the tent. We visited the Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara national park and Tarangire. All the parks were amazing in their own way with different birds, animals and flora. From the plains of Serengeti to woods in Tarangire. we then crossed back to Kenya where Ken picked us up at the border and drove to Amboseli national park. Again the accommodations were incredible! Because of Covid we had to get tested before our flight back which was arranged for us and was quick and painless. We stayed an extra day in Nairobi where our guide William took us to Elephant orphanage, giraffe center and a museum. Overall it was an amazing experience made really easy since all the planning once we got there was done for us. I highly recommend Tanzania Roadside Expeditions and in particular their guides Ken, Emanuel and William!

Wow--over and above what I expected from a tour company!
Why did I choose to go with Zohar African Safaris? I started looking at the various companies that did safaris, then narrowed my list down to about 5 (based on the itinerary I wanted, the cost, lodging choices). Then I wrote all of those 5 companies. Lilian Kramer answered me immediately, and I can tell you that some companies took days to answer my email. Lilian is the founder of the Zohar company. It had great reviews, although not as many total reviews as other companies (because it is a younger company). I liked that it was owned and run by a woman. I asked a ton of questions of all 5 companies, but Lilian was the one who always got back to me quickly, was really nice in her answers, and gave me direct answers to everything. Great communication means a lot! I would recommend them again in a second.
Remember that this trip was actually set us in fall of 2019 with this same company, and we canceled the 202 trip in May. We resurrected the trip in January of this year. But all during this period of time, I was talking to Lilian by email, asking her about COVID in Tanzania, whether costs had changed, lodging changes, and so on. Although there was a choice of safari cost---usually involving budget, medium, or luxury lodgings—we went with mid-range. GREAT LODGINGS—all of them! We had 3 luxury places and 2 bush tent camps, and 1 really nice place to start out with in Arusha.
Loved being guided by Solomon
- Great driver………..didn’t get stuck once, never lost, took all sorts of roads to get to animals
- Organized………great lunches (made by the place we stayed at), on time (although our group was not
- Flexible about staying out later to take pics
- Knew all mammals and birds…how, I do not know. He even showed us pics from his identification books. And he would give us background info on the animals.
- Intuition about where best to see the animals……we parked next to the Mara River looking down on it, ate lunch, and sat, waiting for the wildebeest to cross over RIGHT IN FRONT OF US
- Endless patience…..even when someone wanted to take the 400th pic of a giraffe
- Great sense of humor
Lilian had arranged for us to go to her bed & breakfast area (non one inhabiting it at that moment)to shower and eat something before the plane. Her large house also has her own living quarters with her family as well as her office. We even met her pretty little girl. We had no plans to do this: we thought that we would just be languishing at the airport for hours before our midnight flight back to Qatar. So I cannot tell you how absolutely, deliriously happy we were to have the ability to shower, eat, and re-pack suitcases. That was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice of her.
Also nice of her to print out our COVID PCR Test results to leave the country, and, in fact, she paid for the tests because of an online glitch. We then paid her back.
I would do it again in a second! Loved the country, the landscapes, where we stayed, and the people. And I would choose Zohar again.

our creator of a "once in a lifetime experience"
We booked a great safari with Daniel in the Lower Zambezi NP and in the South Luangwa NP - and that for 2020! Daniel put together a safari for us that exceeded our wildest dreams. And then Covid came and the shutdown in Zambia. Daniel also mastered this situation perfectly for us and we could make this awesome trip exactly one year later - as some of the few foreign tourists in Zambia. During our trip, Daniel was always available for us and organized also those things for us that are usually not required: transportation despite very late arrival in Zambia, Covid tests and much more. We can unreservedly recommend a trip with Zamsato. Daniel makes dreams come true !!

Unforgettable safari in Kenya
Image provided us a comprehensive safari package which was flexibility tailored based on our travel plan. James is a very dedicated and reliable guide. We saw big five, great migration and 2 times of river crossing during our trip with him. He is also very flexible, caring and friendly e.g. always in a good mood with energy, drive safely, listening to our wishes, helped us solve the broken camera issue. and took into consideration when we had stomach problem ;) . We will definitely travel again with Image if we go back to Kenya or even to Tanzania.

Excellent!
I booked my safari with CKC Tours & Travel. John was so good to work with. While planning my trip he answered all of my questions, responded quickly and was very helpful. He met me at the airport, took me to the hotel and made sure I got checked in okay. I went to Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo West. They were amazing, I was so fortunate so see so many animals. John booked excellent accommodations at all three locations, the rooms and food were very good, I was very pleased. The safari drives in Masai Mara were done by the guides there and they were excellent. The safari drives in Amboseli and Tsavo West were done by Simon who works for CKC Tours & Travel. He was also excellent. He knew all the wildlife including the birds, stopped every time I wanted to take a picture (and that was very often) or just watch the animals and was a great guide. At the end of my trip John took me to the airport. While I was there he made sure all of my needs were met and that I was happy. He was great to work with. He made planning my trip easy and made it so I had an amazing time while I was there and Simon made it so my safaris in Amboseli and Tsavo West were great. If I go back to Kenya I will be using CKC Tours & Travel again!
