Review about Lake Nakuru National Park by Laurie Levy
It is very close to town, so not much of a "bush vibe", but there are some nice views of the lake and the surrounding area is attractive. We saw lots of wildlife, though - including rhinos, baboons, cranes, impala, gazelles, LOTS of flamingoes, pelicans, buffalo, etc. Sarova Lionhill Game Lodge is very nice, with beautiful gardens, luxurious cottages, and the best food and drinks we had on the whole trip.

Review about Aberdare National Park by Laurie Levy
This was a novel experience as there are no game drives. The lodge is built over natural watering hole and the game come to you. There are viewing platforms and a "bunker" area where you can get a fantastic overview of the wildlife and witness things in a more panoramic way than you might see from a safari vehicle. They also provided a lecture about the lodge and the wildlife, comfortable lounging areas and bar, and the food was very good as well. We saw many elephants, hyenas, cape buffalo, bush pigs, warthogs, and many birds such as herons, cranes, pelicans, and a variety of smaller birds. The setting is very lush and beautiful.

Review about Aberdare National Park by Clare
We didn't see quite as much wildlife in the Aberdare but had a great time! Definitely need a car with high clearance - the roads are rough but do-able & make for a fun adventure with the right people.

Camping Safari around Namibia 2022
I booked a 12 day camping Safari around Namibia with Chameleon which was an excellent experience as the unknown group of 10 people from around the globe, all joined in together to make it an excellent memory for all.
The group was made of myself from New Zealand, a couple from Denmark, a family from France, a father and daughter from California and a single german.
Due to the time of year the weather was a pleasant warm temperature in the day time but at night in the tents the temperature dropped down to freezing which many had not expected but all survived.
The trip left Windhoek and headed north for our first night Okonjima Reserve where we were able to view three rescued chetah. We then moved onto Etosha.
This not being my first visit to Africa I was not expecting to rave about Etosha but now having been there to view game I would highly recommend this Game Park. Especially at night where you are not allowed to do night game drives, but in Okaukuejo Camp you are able to view game at the water hole any time at night as the water hole is well illuminated. Rhinos, elephants Giraffe, Zebra and lions are not unexpected.
The Skeleton coast was next on the trip and was as wild as expected with wonderful views and great feeling of remoteness.
At Cape Cross the seals which were plentiful but the stench was almost unbearable for some of the more sensitive souls.
I personnel did not warm to Swakomund although I did mange to locate an excellent source of Biltong at an excellent butcher in the town. The town museum is well worth a visit.
Sesreim was a real treat as we went and climbed the famous sand dunes which are absolute must to do, even if there are millions of other visitors as well.
Aus was a place of stunning sunsets and the launch off point to visit Luderitz and Fish Canyon a must see site on the trip.
The trip is for the hardy as there is a lot of driving but well worth it to receive an excellent taste of Namibia. The roads were in the main excellent so we were able to complete long distances.
Windhoek is the starting off and end of the trip where there are some excellent shopping for souvenirs and clothes.

Amazing Memories safari
Four of us went on an 8 day safari with Amazing Memories. We visited Amboseli, Aberdare, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara. We elected o use a 4x4 vehicle, and were glad we did, as many of the roads were pretty bad and we encountered several stranded vehicles along the way. I exchanged several emails with Anne while planning the trip, and she was very prompt in replying and provided thoughtful suggestions to make sure we settled on exactly the trip we were hoping for. Our driver, David, was an incredibly skilled driver and a conscientious guide. We stayed at Kibo Safari Camp, The Ark Loodge, Sarova Lionhill Game Lodge, and Enkorok Mara Camp (a mixture of luxury tents and lodges). We were very pleased with all the accommodations. The staff at all 4 lodges went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure that all our needs were met. In addition, we were happily surprised at what excellent food we had in all these places. I thought this itinerary was exceptional in the diversity of game it allowed us to see and also to see diverse landscapes in Kenya. We had no problem of any kind during this safari and felt very well looked after. I would recommend this itinerary and this company to anyone seeking to explore Kenya's game parks.

Gorgeous wildlife and warm, fun people!
Go to Kenya if you get the chance! It was an incredible place and experience, I hope to be back ASAP. My group visited the Masai Mara, Aberdare National Park, and scuba dived off Wasini Island - the Mara had the most incredible biodiversity (birds, mammals, and reptiles) but all experiences were incredible. We found our safari through safaribookings.com and had a great experience - I've been recommending this method & site to everyone.
We went in August & the weather was easy - needed a mid-range sweater in the morning and then down to a tank with long sleeve later in the day. Not too hot but never super cold (definitely will want long sleeves though).
My recommendations - bring good binocs, a good camera, and wildlife identification books purchased at home - it's easier to find them before travelling and they're spendier in the country where you need them. You will be especially happy to have a good camera.

Cape Town/Victoria Falls/Hwange Safari Trip
Amazing!! everything was booked through Mmilo Tours (Patrick) and everything went flawless. Our stay at Table Bay Hotel was excellent and our tours with Brenda were terrific. Our trip to Victoria Falls was amazing and our stay at Victoria Falls Hotel was great! Phanuel, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and terrific. We did a river dinner cruise along with a "Boma" dinner show. What a blast! Phanuel also drove us to Hwange National Park where we were picked up by Nkosi, our "The Hide" safari guide, very informative and terrific. The stay at the Hide was another experience in itself. Right next to a water hole. We highly recommend Mmilo Tours (Patrick) and thank them for an experience of a lifetime!!.
