An A+ experience!
5/5

We booked our vacation in Kenya through Silver Africa tour & safaris and it was an excellent decision! Communication with Fred and his team was seamless. Despite the time difference, we received fast and clear responses from them. They assisted us in curating an experienced that matched our desires, and they helped with guidance & suggestions.

On arrival, we had a first class experience from pickup at the airport in Nairobi to our hotel in Karen. We had a few local excursions which were followed up by the grand finale of a safari to the Maasai Mara with a stay at one of the most amazing Mara resorts!

Please give them a try! Share your vision, wants and must haves of your ideal trip & have them build your dream vacation! A huge thank you to Fred, Alois, Elizabeth, George and all the wonderful people at Silver Africa Tours for the personalized human attention, it made the difference in comparison to booking blindly online!

Solid and reliable safari operator
5/5

We have made arrangements about safari and negotiated the rate with Mack by email. When coming to Arusha, all agreed conditions were confirmed and we have not got any unpleasant surprises as described sometimes in the case of other safari operators. We decided on the option of a 6-Day Tanzania Experience Safari. In general, the itinerary and conditions of the safari were precisely as described by Mack in the correspondence before arriving in Tanzania. As for the accommodation during the tour, the Charity Hotel is not a good option for resting before starting the safari. At 10.00 pm a new large group arrived at the hotel and pandemonium of noises and rumours started. It lasted until 2.00 am. As for Farm of Dreams Lodge and Acaccia Lodge in Serengeti Park, both were really excellent and exceptional places leaving us with really good memories and positive feelings. Staying in Serengeti Park with comfort assured by Acaccia lodge was unforgettable.
On the first day we have been to Tarangire National Park, then going to Serengeti National Park for the next two days, and finally, on the last day in Ngorongoro Crater. All these places must-see if you want to have the feeling of Africa savannas. Unfortunately, the transfers between Tarangire and Serengeti and then, Ngorongoro take much time, but it seems it is unavoidable. Especially, that distances are rather high and roads in bad shape.
As for seeing animals, as usual, it depends on your lack and time spent in the park, especially Serengeti Park. There are huge herds of antelopes, elephants, buffaloos and other herbivores, predator cats are more difficult to run across. In some places, you can see also ponds practically filled with hippos.
We have travelled with Thomas, a drive and a guide, who was extremely patients in overcoming road difficulties and tracking for animals. Thomas was a splendid guide having a lot of extremely interesting knowledge about all animals met in the savannah. We can recommend him as a really good guide for this trip.
After returning to Arusha we had spent one night in town as our flight back to Zanzibar was on the next day. Mack offered that we will get a tour around Arusha before departure, to have some time for shopping places and seeing the art gallery, with Thomas, free of charge. Then we were escorted by Thomas to the airport.
To sum up, it was a great experience, thanks to Mack and Thomas, and there was actually nothing we could complain about. The only thing, we have thought afterwards, that maybe we should have selected an option with an additional day in the heart of Serengeti Park as it is a vast area and not so many places can be explored during 2 days. We can recommend Kiliholidays as the operator of safari tours - the option we have chosen was a mid-range private tour. If coming to Tanzania next time, f.e. for the tour to Kilimanjaro, we surely consider Kiliholidays.

Great experience with ranger Jonathan!
5/5

We had a really nice experience with Explorer Kenya and our ranger Jonathan. He was really such a sweet and relaxed person, we had a great time with him. It was very nice to see that he was also still excited to see the animals - even after his 18 years of experience. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend!

Takes their time to make sure you get your money's worth
5/5

They have very pocket friendly rates and very good drivers. They made my family weekend break at Masaai Mara memorable. The driver we got was so caring and made sure he did what he could so that we could see the BIG FIVE.

Please note that I pay for my holidays pole pole and I believe you can do the same.

Excellent experience, very good…
5/5

We went to several parks where we saw different species of animals. Our guides ally and one were very polite and helpful people, always taking us to the best places to find the animals. At lunch we had meals and wine, prepared by our guide One… the hotels we stayed were also in agreement. It was a magnificent experience. I recommend the company to those who also want to know the animals...

Professionnal, safe and very nice
5/5

The organization from A to Z was flawless. Always well accompanied by Mister T and Humphrey. First of all this was our first Safari and first visit to Tanzania, after our flight Zanzibar - & gt; Arusha, we were directly taken care of by Cubs Expeditions. Transport to the hotel, briefing and departure the next morning. The guide and the chef will accompany us during our 3 days and 2 nights of safari. Safari and meal at the top. Taxi back to the hotel and the next day at the airport. What more ?

I will not go on forever, unforgettable stay of which we do not yet manage to realize the privilege.

The advantages with Cubs Expeditions: Transparency, communication, availability, best possible providers, briefings and debriefing. Trustworthy professionals.

Humphrey and Mister T, thank you for the organization and professionalism.
Special mention to Rocky and Tito, guide and chef on our safari, forever linked to what is our greatest travel adventure.

See you soon, I hope !

We Loved Achieve!!
5/5

My fiancé and I traveled in Uganda for 10 days with Achieve Safaris this summer (July 2021 ). I cannot say enough about how wonderful this company was and what a great time we had, from start to finish. For beginners, we worked with Jolie over a year and a half planning and re-planning our trip. We were originally to go in July 2020 but had to reschedule due to COVID. Jolie was absolutely wonderful to work with. I asked her a million questions and we exchanged countless emails and she worked diligently to tailor the experience to everything we wanted to do and see. She outlined itinerary after itinerary for us with different price and lodging options until we finally settled on one. She set up COVID testing for us and even when our flights were changed last minute (literally) she made arrangements to accommodate our delay. So we owe a special big thank you to Jolie!!!
Next, our guide Eddie was seriously the best we could have hoped for in every way. Traveling with anyone for 10 days, much of it long drives in the car, can be a challenge. Personally, Eddie was such a pleasure to be around. He was friendly yet unimposing, happy to chat but also to let us sleep for long stretches of driving. We got along very well with Eddie and enjoyed being with him on our trip. We even had the wonderful opportunity to meet Eddie’s family as they happened to be staying near one of our destinations. When we asked Eddie if we could meet them he agreed and we had a wonderful time with them and playing with his kids for the day! Most importantly he was a fantastic guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife we were seeing. This is not only important for us to learn about the wildlife but also because a knowledgeable guide can find it!!! Eddie showed us the big 5 over the course of our tour. I should also add that he was an amazing driver, which was essential both for getting to wildlife quickly and establishing a good spot and also because we felt safe and comfortable on all sorts of roads throughout our journey. In addition to our visits to different parks Eddie arranged a visit to meet with people from the Batwa tribe near Bwindi, another unforgettable experience. Although we were super impressed with Eddie’s capabilities as a guide we were unaware of just how lucky we were to have him. Following our time in Uganda we traveled to Kenya where we did another 6-7 days of safari and not one guide we had was even close to Eddie’s caliber. So definitely another tremendous thanks to Eddie and we hope to see you again soon!!!
Finally, the actual trip was amazing it was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Uganda is a gorgeous country with many different landscapes to enjoy. The wildlife was amazing to see. Especially the gorillas and chimpanzees! The gorilla trekking is a big expense but it is not to be missed. We saw tons of wildlife and lots of very cool things over a month in Uganda and Kenya but I think the gorillas were the best. We chose the mid-range accommodations that Jolie suggested and all of the places we stayed were beautiful, comfortable and clean. The food was also very good and they made vegetarian arrangements for my fiancé.
All in all, if you are planning to go to Uganda and you want a company to travel with I would highly recommend traveling with Achieve and I would definitely request Eddie if possible!!

WOW, what an amazing trip!
5/5

My wife and I researched a number of travel agencies to plan our first trip to Africa and decided on using Wayfairer Travel. They had great reviews and we even contacted past customers and talked to them personally. The decision to use Wayfairer was easy.
We booked a 6 day, 5night stay at Saruni Mara for August 2021 and had an incredible time. The safari was way more than anything we imagined.
The staff at Saruni Mara was absolutely wonderful and saw to all of our needs. From Chris the manager to Daniel our driver/guide. Daniel was a fantastic guide, always found us game and put us in position for great photo shots. We saw 32 animals including the Big 5 and saw the Great Migration of Wildebeest. Plus, we saw 46 species of birds!
But the trip started with our arrival in Nairobi Kenya. Cat, Carmen and Siripun had everything planned out for us. As we deplaned at the Nairobi airport we were met as soon as we got off of the plane by a representative, Winnie, who walked us through customs and got us out of there promptly. She then took us to baggage claim where we picked up our bags and followed her outside where we met James. James drove us to our hotel and then picked us up the next morning where he took us to Wilson Airport to catch a small single prop airplane which took us into the bush, where we met Daniel. Winnie and James were fantastic.
At the end of our safari Daniel took us back to the grass landing strip where we caught our flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, where James was waiting for us to take us to the airport.
We have nothing but praise for Wayfairer Travel and the Saruni Mara Lodge. Not one negative.

The guides were excellent. All are nation sly certified and could spot animals from afar
5/5

There was not a single downside to the safari. The accommodations were excellent (each had its own unique style), the food was fantastic and plentiful, the safaris were amazing, and the vehicles immaculate. We did many of the parks and also a night and walking safari. Bthe guides are experts at locating animals. Each park was wonderful. We topped off the trip with a few days at the beach (I highly recommend everyone do this). It was a 10/10 experience (and I have been on other safaris that I enjoyed… just not as much as this one). I am recommending #bestmemorysafaris to all my friends.
