Amazing
We had a 12 day safari visiting 5 different parks. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Our trip was arranged by apodiformes and they were brilliant at organizing exactly what we wanted. Our driver Kevin made our experience truly magnificent making sure we saw everything. It was wonderful to see the animals in their natural habitat and so many different species. My husband is also very interested in birds and Kevin was very good at spotting birds and identifying them. All the parks were wonderful and each offered something different. The one not to miss would have to be Maasai Mara where the abundance and variety of animals was truly amazing. It was also great to meet the Maasai people who still live in a very traditional way.

Beautiful country, incredible wildlife, wonderful people
I've travelled to Kenya a few times over the years - first as a backpacker 20 years ago, more recently for safaris, as wildlife photography is one of my passions. My most recent trip was with my 12-year-old son in October 2023. We travelled to Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Reserves in central Kenya, Lake Nakuru to the south-west and finally down to the Masai Mara where Kenya meets the Tanzanian border. We travelled with Spirit of Kenya Safaris and had an incredible trip. Kenya is a spectacular, varied country, with extraordinary wildlife, which is why I keep coming back. I'm already planning the next trip. You can see photos from the last one here: https://jameshopkirk.com/return-to-kenya

Frena Adventures have excellent communication, are reliable and safe, provided us a memorable trip!
Our recent trip to Uganda and Rwanda was nothing short of magical, and our experience was greatly enhanced by our reliable and friendly driver, Apollo, and our trip contact Fred - both from Frena Adventures.
We found it very difficult to choose a tour company when located overseas. All have similar reviews but the selling point for us was that the reviews said Fred was excellent and very communicative. We wanted a different trip that the standard, and our first email with Fred proved that Frena could organise exactly what we wanted.
We landed into Kigali, Rwanda and we met Apollo the next morning at our accommodation as agreed via WhatsApp.
Our trip included Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Gorillas (1 night) & Lake Mutanda to canoe (2 nights) in Uganda, then Mt Bisoke to hike, Volcanoes National Park (1 night) in Rwanda. With pick up and drop off in Kigali.
We booked the standard rooms rather than budget as the price was not too much higher. As we booked our trip very late, one of the accommodations was unavailable but Fred found a solution and we ended up with a very luxurious room instead. Based on feedback from previous tour guests Fred changed one of our accomodations during the trip, but again this was positive as we stayed somewhere much better. While we were with Frena, Fred was always accessible via WhatsApp or email to answer any queries.
Apollo was brilliant, he was reliable, provided local insights, the land cruiser was comfortable, he made sure we had plenty of water every day and he helped us with both border crossings. When we arrived at each accommodation Apollo made sure everything was good, before giving us space each evening.
Apollo's cautious driving and adherence to road rules ensured our safety throughout the trip which we really appreciated. For us the biggest thing is we did not have forced or awkward conversation, we could relax and enjoy the views.
Overall our trip was a blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion, and genuine connections. Apollo and Fred exemplified the spirit of Ugandan & Rwandan hospitality. Thankyou for making our trip so memorable!

Moses was very personable, adaptable and willing to make changes based on our wishes each day
We received excellent service from African Big Cats! From preliminary questions about their services to booking, payment, pre-trip meeting and awesome guide service. Having WhatsApp made it easier to communicate especially once we were in Africa. Moses, our guide, was knowledgeable, personable and very flexible. He kept the jeep clean and well stocked. He knew where the animals were most likely to be seen and when. Highly recommend him and Big Cats Safari!

Super friendly, professional, and committed to providing incredible and memorable experiences.
I went on the 2 day tour to Akagera National Park and had the most incredible time! My guide, Patrick R, was wonderful - he was so knowledgeable (he knew the name of every single bird I asked about, and taught me all about the different animals too), friendly, professional, and passionate about his work. The trip itself was fantastic - the landscape was magnificent and we saw everything from black rhino to leopard to zebras to elephants. Hermosa are a great company and provided me with a really memorable and special experience, I would highly recommend them :)

A magical safari
We saw a great variety of animals in the wild thanks to the brilliant driver and guide who were intent on giving us an excellent day. There were plenty of giraffes and hippos, a few buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, baboons, elephants and lions to make our day extra special. Communication with the operator was really good and we were looked after well throughout the day from pick up to drop off at the hotel.

Awesome experience provided by awesome tour provider with awesome staff!!!
I have been places in my life, but the trip to Tansania and everything I happened to experience during my stay will stay forever in my heart and memories as one of the best "escapes" of all times. And none of this would be the case if not for Nkollo Tours & Safaris taking the best possible care of me and my friend Melanie.
The whole package was just brilliant and worth every penny!
Allan is a very fast, thorough and friendly communicator and organiser. Before our trip we had a million questions, doubts and wishes, but Allan really did answer EVERY EACH of them in a very timely manner. Always super friedly, always engaged, very precise - many Germans could learn from him of what great service means ;)
All our wishes were taken for granted and fulfilled instantly.
Benson - our guide to Materuni, Kikuletwa and Arusha - picked us up at the airport and we got on to the same wave just like a second later. Easy-going, caring, intelligent - a real sweetheart having an answer to each stupid question of ours. It wasn't even midday that we decided to invite him out for a dinner on our last night in Arusha - that is how much we enjoyed his company.
The next day we were picked up by the best Safari guide of all times - Malisa! One sees straight away that he loves his job, and his knowledge about ALL animals you meet on your way (starting from a little colourful bird, ending with a rhino and elephant) is definitely broader than that of whole Google. I promise! We had such a lovely and splendid time during our 4 days of Safari, you can't even imagine!
We were taken a great care of, the food was delicious and there were always enough drinks in the fridge. Malisa "had the right nose" for where to go in order to see a bunch a lions, a herd of elephants, a sleeping leopard or a feeding cheetah. We learned so much from Malisa and got to hear the most amazing stories. We invited also him to the dinner at our last night in Arusha.
Also the back-up crew (cook Simba with his asisstants) were good fun and very devoted to what they are doing. We had some great talks, extra dessert and African dancing in the kitchen.
To be honest - you plan your (budget) trip to Africa and never expect EVERYTHING to go smoothly, right? You have your bias, you have your fears and doubts. But among these guys I felt at home and in peace, all doubts gone in less than 60 seconds after the arrival. My vacation was once of the best things I have done in my life and I am so very grateful to Nkollo Team for making it happen exactly the way it was!
Allan, Benson, Malisa - you are my brothers from another mother ;) and I feel honored to have met you in my life. ASANTE SANA rafiki yangu <3
