I booked a 3-day safari with Msangai Safaris with my spouse, and unfortunately our experience fell far short of what was promised.
• Missed game drives: The first day had no proper game drive or lunch, and the second day was largely lost due to delays and the guide being absent for over 2.5 hours at Kogatende airstrip. The only meaningful game drive happened on the final morning, and only after concerns were raised directly with the company.
• Unsafe, unfit vehicle: The guide’s car was an old open model that repeatedly broke down, including a muffler failure that left us stuck on the road. At one point, we were taken to a garage during game drive hours.
• Professional concerns: The guide admitted he could not reliably manage the vehicle and attempted to borrow a relative’s car. There was minimal concern for safety or the quality of the safari experience.
• Broken promises: Binoculars that were confirmed in writing were never provided.
While lodges, flights, and the hot air balloon were delivered, the core safari experience — the main reason for booking — was significantly disrupted. The company issued a partial refund of USD 1,250, but this only covered a small portion of the losses.
Update: After posting the review, the owner asked us to remove it, claiming one bad experience shouldn’t reflect their company. This was our one and only experience — and it was severely disrupted. It’s important to leave this review so future travelers can make informed decisions.
Additionally, while the wildebeest migration was impressive, our car arrived last, we were stuck in the back, and the driver could not get us closer. The company’s marketing implies an “unforgettable safari experience,” but in reality, this was not delivered

Amazing safari lodge experience!
Ku Sungula Safari Lodge was a once in a lifetime experience. We so enjoyed our 5 night stay (wished it was longer)! The accommodations were lovely and the staff exceptional- very friendly and helpful with an amzing chef- best meals I had during our month long trip in southern Africa. The safari guides and trackers were also exceptional- big thanks to Sam, John, Confidence and DJ for showing us the lion eating a kudo kill while the cubs watched on, the black rhino mom and babes grazing, elephants taking a mud bath, hyena and her cubs, perfect sunsets (and sundowner stops) and all the rest! Also, do a walking tour if you get the change- really informative! Book this lodge- you will be happy you did!

I can't speak high enough about Jockey Tours. From the start the communication was fast, efficient, and professional. After doing a lot of research and reading reviews I felt very comfortable moving forward on the 6 day tour to Masai Mara, Lake Nakura National Park, and Amboselli National Park. I am very glad we did. I travelled with my wife and 6 and 8 year old sons. The accomodations and food were excellent and the staff very accommodating and friendly. Steve was our guide and was top notch. I can't express how glad we were to have him with us. His professionalism, friendliness, and expertise navigating around the parks was unparallel. He always found the good spots in every park to maximize the wildlife you viewed. We experienced and saw much more than we ever expected in each park. Every park was diverse and different than the next. We really feel we made the most of our time and saw the highlights of such an amazing, diverse country.My kids say this was their favorite trip we have done, and my wife and I agree. It really was a fascinating, once in a lifetime trip and we couldn't be happier with how it went with Jockey Tours and Steve.

Very thorough, timely, and open to flexibility on what the client wants
We were more than thrilled with our trip to South Africa and Kruger N.P. and Namibia. Michelle helped us design an amazing experience with the lodges in the private reserves outside Kruger. She gave us the flexibility to design our as well as book our Cape Town experience, but she provided valuable insight into the areas where we should consider staying. We wanted a self driving safari in Namibia and new 8 days was going to be tough to see as much as we could, and Michelle delivered a wonderful itinerary and some amazing lodges for us to call home even for a night. We hope to return to Africa and we will certainly be reaching out to her to help us plan an amazing vacation. Incredible Tour Company
We were so lucky to find Ramja Safaris to help us plan our family safari! From initial inquiry to airport send off, Steve was extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. He tailored our trip to our interests and was able to book accommodations quickly. Steve was very detailed in his answers to my many questions and made us feel comfortable with each aspect of the tour. Steve and his wife met us at the airport when we arrived and and also on the last day of the trip. Sammy our tour guide was the best!
