Serengeti Safari - Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
5/5

Took the Four day Safari package with Serengeti Africa Safaris in April 2023. Every aspect of the interaction with Lucas from five months before to each during the safari was professional. The driver
/guide made all the difference and was always the first to find the animals amongst all the jeeps. The food at every break was incredible by Saleem consisting of 3-5 dishes and he raised the bar every meal. Camping tents were always set up before we arrived and were robust as we did have torrential rain one night. On the third night we were given a free upgrade to a lodge as it was a wet ground due to the rain. The other travelers in my group were lovely and we all bonded well. Though it was low season where sightings can be hard we were seeing animals non-stop and ended up seeing all the big 5. I also took a Meturini Waterfalls tour with this company and it was also a high quality experience. Overall I would encourage anyone to only book with this company especially if it's your first time.

Pick them! You won’t regret it!! Best safari ever!
5/5

We had a FANTASTIC 3 nights/4 days safari experience.
We started from Nairobi went to lake Nakuru, spent 1 night and did the safari, next day we moved to Masai Mara and spent 2 nights in a great hotel-spent 2 days leaving in a luxury tent.
Everything was super organized by Silas and our driver Linus WAS THE BEST OF THE BEST.
Fantastic person, very helpful, very kind, knowledgeable, did everything possible to see all big 5 and we did.
He told us stories and things we didn’t know about the wild animals and overall the experience was once in a lifetime and I really think you need to see it yourself.
Pick them! They will give you a great experience with zero complaints.
Linus drove us back in the airport since we had a domestic flight to catch.
Thank you all for helping us have a wonderful safari.

Caring, provided excellent service each day!

The trip to South Africa was beyond AMAZING! The accommodations, for Shark Bay and Belle Maroc exceeded my expectations in all areas! (5 stars). Stillness Manor (3 1/2 stars). The property was ok, my room/decor was dull, unclean vibe, the staff and food was excellent! (5 stars)

Our tour guide J.P. was a great guide, full of information, kind spirit, patient, and a great sense of humor. He went above and beyond throughout the week; (sharing what places to visit for certain types of souvenirs, etc. (5 stars).

I'm in awe of the overall experience! My heart if filled with gratitude and joy, and I want to thank Deon and staff for all the kindness given prior to my departure. I would highly recommend Go Touch Down, (5 stars) and continue to share with others.

The best tour operator I have ever used!!

We booked through Leken to do a 6 day, Kilimanjaro hike and it was the experience of a lifetime which was all down to the team we had. As soon as I reached out to enquire about the hike, I had a response almost immediately - our options were explained in full and the booking process was simple. I had none of the required clothing so it was all arranged for me to hire what was needed and 3 days after my initial enquiry, we were on our way!
The guides were fantastic and motivated us from start to finish. The chef provided 3 delicious meals a day and every person on our team was friendly, supportive and helpful. The accommodation all the way up the mountain exceeded our expectations.
We would not have made it to the summit if it had not been for Leken. We were well looked after and we enjoyed every moment. A massive thanks to all involved and especially to the guides who took photos for us at the top and who helped carry our personal backpacks when we were struggling. The views and memories made will stay with us forever!! I highly recommend Leken Adventures and would definitely book through them again. Brilliant value for money.

This was my second tour with this company and they did not disappoint. Brian Tuhaise was an excellent guide, we enjoyed his company and sense of humour and he often went the extra mile to make this a unique experience. I can wholly recommend Prime Safari. The lodges they booked for us were superb and their general advice and the booking and payment process were useful and user friendly.

We had an awesome 5 days / 4 game drive in Tanzania. We do the lodges and tented lodges and it was definitely worth the money!
Starting from the airport pickup, the hotel for the first night before our departure to our Safari and the Safari itself it was perfect.

The tour was with 4 of us. The jeep was nice and the view was perfect. The guide told us everything we needed to know - of course about the animals, the landscape and the schedule and pickups for the day.

We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a one (or more ;) ) in a lifetime experience.

We met some nice people from the the company and had very nice evenings.

Afterwards we headed to Sansibar to relax. It was a perfect combination.

Smooth, easy, informative and once in a lifetime
5/5

Explorer Kenya was a very smooth experience of a Safari. Booking from the UK - all communication via whatsapp was prompt and easy. Payment was smooth and the tour driver was punctual and informative. Solomon was our driver and he was so experienced and listened to all of our naive questions and requests - we were able to see 3 of the big 5 in a down time so we were very grateful! Don't hesitate - just do it - it's worth the money. We also stayed at Mara Simba Lodge - really authentic feel of staying in the safari but still very clean and nice (bonus having dinner and breakfast with a view of crocodiles and hippos)!

Great, unique and tailored experience - 100% recommendation
5/5

We booked a 5 day private safari visiting Tsavo east, west, amboseli and taita hills. The trip was the highlight of our stay in Kenya. While we followed the perfect organized schedule we were able to visit the most outstanding places in the national parks, seeing the most important parts of wildlife and nature which was an once in a lifetime experience. One thing that also made our trip special was our driver with whom we had a lot of fun, pleasant conversations and who always did everything to make the best out of the trip for us! The places for overnight stay that were booked for us were of highest quality, directly in the parks with animals in the camp. In the end the trip could not have been better and we would recommend it to everyone looking for a great safari trip!
Thank you again for everything!

Trustworthy, good educated, knowledgeable and Serviceminded operators and staff.
4/5

My trip to Kenya was an interesting journey. I had bought a trip with a travel group consisting of 20 other people. We flew from Norway in the afternoon around the border of Ukraine, over Baghdad and the Persian Gulf to Doha in Quatar, from where a new plane took us to Nairobi where we landed early in the morning. The first day was spent relaxing at the hotel and a trip around Nairobi to a Giraffe park and the Karen Blixen estate. Dinner at the Carnivore restaurant. The following two days we drove to Naivasha and Nakuru with birds and animals. Then to Masai Mara where we stayed in a luxurious tent camp operated by the Masaii and we saw lots of animals. Then we travelled back to Nairobi and flew to Zanzibar where we stayed in a luxurious beach hotel. Had a day trip to the center of the island where we visited the Slave-market, the Spice market and the old town with the fort. Crowded and People everywhere. From Zanzibar we flew back to Oslo via Doha. I regret that I did not stay any longer. So many other places to visit.
The tour operators in Kenya did a good job to transport us around, they were service-minded and did their utmost to show us around and to keep the schedule on roads of different standards.
My main impressions after seeing my beloved Kenya again after 40 years were the following:
- lots of People everywhere. The population had tripled on 40 years, from 16 million in 1980 to almost 50 millions today. They get a double whammy: With 3,5 % birthrate increase every year and lots of refugees from the neighboring war-torn countries.
- Almost all houses/huts had tin roofs now. 40 years ago I estimate 2/3 had thatched straw roofs. I recon that is a very good development for the public health?
- There have been some big electrical projects. Power is derived from hot springs in the Rift Valley. There was very little - almost nothing - charcoal burning now. That was very common for cooking 40 years ago. Also less smoke is positive for the public health.
- the roads were improved and better now. New roads with more asphalt. But also lacking maintenance on dirt roads.
- thank you to the old English colonial masters who set aside vast marginal land areas for national parks. Without the dispositions they did 1945-1963 I do not think we would have the parks we can enjoy today.
- I did not study the sanitary situation closely, but at the luxurious hotels where we stayed, we had hot and cold water in the shower and there were cold Tuskers (beer) in the bar. I am sure that if I had gone into a study of the local sanitation Companies, I would have found many faults. So I did not drink tap water.
- Another interesting feature was the new high speed Chinese Standard Gauge Railroad. I never saw any trains running on it. It is a lot of controversy around the Chinese investments and the payback of loans. Presently the SGR-line ends in Naivasha where containers can be transferred to the old “lunatic line” narrow gauge railway that still operates from Nairobi to Kampala.
