Shadows of Africa organized our 2.5-week Tanzania trip perfectly, combining safari, Mt. Meru trek, and Zanzibar. Communication was clear and flexible, logistics seamless, and guides outstanding. Our safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was unforgettable—special thanks to Dennis for his expertise and care. Wildlife sightings exceeded expectations, and accommodations ranged from basic to exceptional (Pamoja Serengeti a true highlight). The Mt. Meru trek was tough but rewarding, with excellent guidance from Amiri and his team. Zanzibar offered relaxation, though street and beach harassment detracted somewhat. Overall, the trip exceeded expectations, and we highly recommend Shadows of Africa.

An Unforgettable Experience with an Expert Guide
Our safari in Tanzania was absolutely incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Harun. His ability to spot and track animals was remarkable – from a hidden leopard in a tree to a majestic herd of elephants on the move. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystems but also passionate, patient, and answered all of our questions. He ensured we were comfortable and safe throughout the entire journey. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Thank you for making our trip so special. Highly recommended!

Our safari with Serengeti Wakanda was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! From the very beginning, everything was well-organized, seamless, and filled with excitement. The landscapes were breathtaking, and every game drive offered something new—from herds of Zebras and Wildebeests at sunrise to lions resting under trees and even a rare glimpse of a leopard and cheetah
A huge part of what made this safari unforgettable were our incredible guides, Freddie and Jimmy. Their knowledge of the wildlife and ecosystem was outstanding, and they had a real gift for spotting animals we would have otherwise missed. Wonderful human being
I do not write reviews often, but I felt obligated to put in a few words. My wife and I had an incredible experience, but Tanzania safari does not require any introductions. Just amazing. I am here to talk about the company and our tour guide/driver Hassan. We do a lot of research when we travel, and Gosheni group immediately came up high on the list. They responded promptly, were very flexible, and work with us, not against us. Our guide Hassan requires special mention. He made us feel comfortable from the start. Wide smile, easy going attitude. We travel a lot and this is not unusual, but pleasant. However, as the trip went on and we spent days in the car with him, real person shined through. Hassan is thoutgul, intelligent, and very real
He made us feel comfortable, regardless of circumstances. Natutre does not always cooperate, sometimes line wants to sleep or rhino refuses to turn around, or you got to chase the wildebeest crossing - this is when Hassan was at his best. Calm, collected, reassuring. Most importantly, we always felt safe with him on the road, which is no little task in seregneti. Never mind the lunch table he set up for us at the crater in ngorongoro (I do not know how to past pictures, so check my wife's post). My warmest thanks to Hassan and Ghosheni guys. Will send all our friends your way.

Charles was responsive, accommodating and thoughtful!
Was a pleasure to work with Charles who was very efficient and responded quickly and in detail to my inquiries. Being from the US and our first trip to Kenya, he patiently answered all my queries and assisted us in putting together our week long trip to Aberdare National Park, Solio conservancy, Nairobi and Amboseli. His guide cum driver Alvin was an absolute gem! Met us at the hotel on time, drove us everywhere for the next 8 days, was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Charles himself joined us on a part of our tour and between them gave us a comprehensive, entertaining and spectacular view of this amazing country and its people. The Safari jeep was clean and well maintained and this team was resourceful and networked with others to make sure we had unforgettable experiences. From private ranger-accompanied hikes to several waterfalls in Aberdare, beautiful sightings of Mt. Kenya, (while we don’t do a hike to Mt Kenya, it is one of Charle’s specialties) amazing wildlife sightings and learning in Solio conservancy with it’s unbelievable numbers of Rhino, to the elephant families of Amboseli and just to many types of antelopes, hyenas, jackals and more to list! Add to that a memorable night safari! He provided me with references, certifications, adjusting to my budget, and importantly, prompt payment receipts that eased my worry in wiring deposit money to someone I had no previous personal connection with.
