Comfortable
5/5

I have done a short private tour in the Okavango delta area with a group of friends. It was a lovely experience, and Kalahari Marsh Safari provided excellent services. Just came across with them searching in the net regading local tour operators based in Maun, Botswana. We were short of time and wanted to do a customized itinerary, and it was not easy to find a suitable service provider. However the response from Kalahari Marsh Safari was sufer fast and at affordable cost. The service was very punctual, and we had a good time in Botswana with them.
I would definitely recommed the company for its value for money and customized services, particularly if you are traveling in a small group. They are locally run and based. So have a nice time with them in Botswana!

GERALD WAS AWESOME! Great trip to see the gorillas and golden monkeys
5/5

Sister and I took the 3 day Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Golden Monkeys tour with Frena Adventures in early August.

Booking was seamless with Fred providing the information promptly and answering questions. Online payment through Pesapal (note: 5% processing fee) for the deposit, the remainder in cash on arrival.

Our tour guide Gerlad was awesome! Knowledgible about the locations we drove by and stopped at good vantage points to take photos.

The day we went to see the gorillas, we were up just before sunrise and crow of the rooster and it was beautiful. Thank you to the team at Trekkers Tavern Cottages with a shoutout to Sheila for making us feel comfortable and well looked after!
Seeing the gorillas in real life literally meters away from you was an exhilarating experience. We were put in the team tracking the Kyaguriro troupe (led by the Silverback of the same name). Hid name means 'picky/selective' (we think) as he is known to be very selective with the females he invites into his troupe. He is also notoriously shy! Which is why it was a surprise that we came across the trackers only 20 or so minutes from the road. They weren't wrong about his shyness but we were lucky enough to see all 8 members of the troupe including a baby which was so cute!
Thank you to the guides/park rangers, guards and trackers who all did an amazing job to answer our questions and keep both us and the gorillas safe.

Fun fact: We also wore face masks while seeing the gorillas as they are also susceptible to human diseases. This is due to how similar our genetics are.

If you ever have the opportunity to do this by all means it's a once in a lifetime experience and I highly recommend it to all. We saw families with kids up to retirees so no is left out. They also provide a service wherein individuals with limited mobility can be carried to and from the gorilla sites for a fee. Just please hire a porter if you cannot hold your things. It gives the locals a job, gives their families money and makes your trek a lot more comfortable and enjoyable. That bottle of water and camera gets mighty heavy if you are not use to the altitude (we are from Australia) and you have to go back up the mountain at the end of it.

For the second night we stayed at the Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge. The staff were incredibly attentive, friwnsly and always had a smile. The accomodation itself was clean and well presented. Although the wifi could only be accessed in the main building the three seating areas with their individual fire places (set up by staff at your request) made the whole experience warm and welcoming. They also had a bar from which they offered some wine, whisky, etc which was brought over to us while chatting around the fireplace. There were also some dancers that came by to perform cultural music and dance which was lovely. Waterbottles were also put in our beds and the fireplace in our room lit before we arrived after dinner as the night was a bit chilly. It was a wondeful experience from start to finish. Also the pineapple juice on arrival was beautiful!

The third day with the golden monkeys was also very nice. The guides will take you to the large family of monkeys. Also need a mask for this. They were very cute and they do get very close. Mind the tails and dont dont get bwtween them am food, lest they bite (but mainly mind the tails). It was lovely and sunny when we went, so their backs were brightly glistening. Highly recommend.

Gerald also offered to swing by the Dianna Fossey Centre where we learned more about the gorillas and the different families in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest before dropping us back to our hotel in Arusha.

Dream honeymoon
5/5

From the first contact Mr. Abdallah understood what we were looking for and made a balanced plan according to our request. Mr. Abdallah was always very helpful and replied to our questions swiftly and professionally.
Thanks to Uhuru Travel we were able to experience adventure and comfort at the same time by staying in tended camps and lodges where the staff was always friendly and the food was delicious, specially at Julia’s River Camp in Kenya, Tanzanice Farm Lodge in Tanzania and Zanzibar Magic Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar.
Our guides, Jeremy in Kenya and Festo in Tanzania, were both very knowledgeable about the parks and the animal behaviors, allowing us to see even more animals than we had imagined. They were also very friendly and mindful of our wellbeing and needs, making balanced plans with longer game drive days and shorter days that allowed us to rest and relax. Also in Zanzibar, the commute from the airport to the hotel and vice versa were accounted for, allowing us to fully relax on the last days of our trip.
We definitely recommend the services provided by Uhuru Travel, and we look forward to future trips. Thank you!

We had a wonderfull touroperator
3/5

Unfortunaly we did not visit any of the lodges from planning. Because we were together with other travellers and they had not the midservice safari. We had to go with them to the camps for breakfast and sleeping in other lodge. It was a disappointment to visit not the planned lodges.
May be planning might be better and it should be nice to put the same travellers on the trip (all midservice for example)

Super
5/5

I thoroughly enjoyed a 5-day mid-range safari with Jikil; it comes highly recommended. When I return, I will undoubtedly choose Suricata once again.

From the moment of airport pickup to the exceptional food, comfortable accommodations, and well-organized game drives, everything was executed with professionalism.

Furthermore, every member of the Suricata team I encountered exhibited remarkable kindness and helpfulness.

A special shoutout to Chuke for his generous assistance in resolving my ATM issues in Arusha – his support was truly invaluable.

Wonderful six days safari
5/5

We have spent six days in Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli for a private tour safari. All guides were really flexible and adapted the schedule to our needs (e.g. airport transfer without extra cost, they picked our lost luggage up for us and delivered it to hour accommodation). Despite the long distances between the parks, our guides organized everything in a perfect way, and we saw a lot of animals. Stanley, our guide for the first four days, has been really kind in trying to show us as many animals as possible and also the great migration and the river crossing in Mara river, which is not that usual. He was a really funny person who loved to take care of other people when they had problems, and also made us fall in love with these beautiful places!
Highly recommended!

Amazing Safari Experience with Jeff
5/5

We have done a 6days safari around Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboselli with Jeff. First of all, thanks so much Jeff you made this safari way better than we could expect. Great energy, great talks, perfect driving and lot of fun.
We had read a lot about the possible cons doing these type of safaris, just to be prepared. It happened we slept on a different hotel than the one we arranged on Amboselli but we didn’t mind it too much. You have to be with a wide open mind and with good vibe to get the most out of this one in life experience.
Thanks again Jeff, we have enjoyed it a lot!

Outstanding experience, superb planning!
5/5

I am so happy that we booked our Serengeti trip with Telly Africa Safaris. Mohamed Haroun was fantastic in the meticulous planning and always responsive to our specific needs. We opted for the luxury fly-in, fly-out and everything was marvellous. Our entire Safari trip was excellent because of our Safari Guide, Assad. Assad is not only a very knowledgeable guide, but he also aims to please his guests. He would share bits of information that made our experience so much better.
