Machame route
My Husband and I had the opportunity to climb Kilimanjaro using the Machame route over 7 days. Our guides and porters were outstanding. I can’t say enough good things about Great Lake Expedition. The hospitality, the food and the preparation we went through on our way to the summit was exceptional. We were able to summit the mountain and it was an absolutely incredible adventure, one that we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Best safari company in Tanzania
We have enjoyed a 4 days safari in which we chose the path for Tarangire, Serengeti 2 days and Ngorongoro. We went with the option of the lodge but the tent it is as well a very good choice. If you want to be budget go with the tent. If you don’t want any extra things to carry and just to enjoy the safari, book the lodge version. It’s almost like going into a hotel.
Our guide Fred was very prepared and documented. He had the answers for all our questions. He’s a skilled driver, kind person, polite and we are happy we had him as our guide.
Our cook Samail prepared us each time a delicious meal and with a big variety of options… taking into account that he cooked into savana.
The experience into the parks was memorable and with Fred’s experience we were able to see almost all the animals (beside the stubborn rhino whose population is quite small and was hiding in the day when we went in Ngorongoro Park).

Totally Loved Our Safari Experience
I and my family went for a 14 days Kenya and Tanzania safari with Tourist Line Safaris. Masai Mara and Serengeti were the highlights. We loved the experience. The guide, Vurtex, was very professional. The staff were very swift and nice too. We saw alot of animals, all the big five and enjoyed a variety of activities such as boat rides and bicycle rides. The company is very flexible, and prices match the service. I would recommend this company to anyone planning a safari. Perfect!

Everything from the initial contact with Estleon went really smoothly. Esther was great on accommodating all the requests I had in regards of the trip. The driver Bernard did an outstanding job during the trip. He knew all the best places where to see the animals and also was really knowledgeable of all the species of animals in the parks. Planned an 8 day safari that far exceeded our expectations!
Unforgettable trip! Far exceeded my expectations! So glad I chose Africa Safari Classics to plan our trip. My mom has had a safari on her bucklist forever and we finally decided to go despite the current uncertainties with the pandemic. Glad we did. Went the last part of December 2021. My 72 year old mom, my college age son and 2 daughters in high school. Great trip for everyone in our eclectic group.
Went into the trip thinking we would see a lot of animals but not everything. I was hoping for a cheetah or a leopard. We saw EVERYTHING! Saw all the big 5, cheetahs, hippos, etc! Not only that we saw it all very close. Saw lionesses with their cubs eating a zebra, a leopard with its kill in a tree, and so much more! I was worried that my camera would not be powerful enought to get the photos I wanted. So it was so awesome to see everything so close! The pictures my kids got on their phones were amazing because our drivers got us right up to the animals.

Also recommend going to different parks/conservancies. Loved Amboseli, Mara, and Eagle View (Naboisho Conservancy). Glad we didn't spend the whole time at only one national park.
Our guides were wonderful! Tony was our guide for the majority of the trip. He has been a guide for 15+ years and was great! My mom said she appreciated his patience answering all her questions and we never felt rushed.
Maurice did a great job planning it all out for us. I just emailed him with my list of what we wanted to see and do and I let him plan it since he knew what would be best for that time of year.
Can't say enough about how much I would recommend going with Africa Safari Classics.

Through our Covid driven reschedules-Compass Odyssey became like family en route to a perfect safari
We started planning this trip with Compass Odyssey in December 2019. After four Covid-driven reschedules and some itinerary tweaks, we finally were able to visit South Africa, Zambia and Botswana with (most) of our original itinerary in tact!

We were lucky to be guided by Peter, an amazing guide. Thanks to him, we felt safe with our children throughout the trip.
During the safaris in the parks, he led us to meet the big five and made us discover extraordinary scenes. He has the eye of a lynx and is sure to spot big cats and birds of prey and he knows all about flora and fauna. He had the patience to answer all our questions, both on the behavior of wild animals and on local customs.
He was also very attentive to our preferences so that we were always well placed to obtain extraordinary points of view and photos, even paying attention to the orientation of the light so that our photos were perfect. Really very considerate. The children and I loved discovering the baby animals and he quickly noticed it and did everything to show them to us... Really, this trip was great! It's physically demanding but we will keep an unforgettable memory.
