Best trip ever
5/5

Myself and my husband are both nature lovers. We were always fascinated towards wildlife since childhood. This similar mindset and liking towards wild animals made us choose Kenya for our trip. The first thing I did was to browse all the package available on safaribookings.com. I wanted a package which had a comfortable stay and which covers all the places. Heritage of African jungles' package was the best I could spot and they were very quick and professional in their response too which made me trust them compared to other operators. I just loved the way Naomi(owner) answered patiently to all my queries. She even customised the package for me according to my wish. After all the wait when we landed in Nairobi she and her driver/guide Francis greeted us with a warm welcome. They were too kind and helping and we felt very comfortable. The stay for all 7 days wer excellent and especially the food was just wow. It broke our stereotypical thinking towards Africa and African food. All kinds of food were available and we just felt like home. People out there were very very nice and kind.

Coming to th safari part, Francis is an excellent driver cum guide who will do magic with the vehicle. Though the roads were bumpy at times, he drove with such an ease which proves his experience. We were able to spot the BIG 5 and also the wildebeest migration. Though in October there is generally no migration, we were lucky enough to spot the return migration of the wildebeests from Masai Mara to Serengeti. We had a lot of wonderful experiences like the spotting m of 4 cheetahs eating a wildebeest(very close view), lion and cubs eating on top of a hill, crocodiles and hipos fight when the crocodiles were going to attack a baby hipo, crocodiles eating an antelope etc etc. Our experience was beyond amazing which can only be experienced when you go out there. And I would definitely and firmly recommend heritage of African jungles for you to enjoy your trip to the fullest.

Very helpful but could have been perfect
4/5

The organizers were very flexible with us although we sent our request very late. They could organize us a last minute trip which went well.
On the way to different parks, we saw other guides explaining a lot of things to the groups and showing them a lot of things on the maps. Ours was kind of silent and not very proactive, we had always to ask about things to get answers and information.

Perfect African Safari trip thanks to Mwema Safaris !!
5/5

We had a fabulous vacation at Kenya all thanks to Mwema Safari. This was our first trip to Africa, Simon patiently answered all our questions, he customized the itinerary based on our needs, most of the more established tour companies were not willing to do that. They offered us a very fair price and gave us several options (price points) to choose from, explained properly why one price option is more than the other, shared all names of the lodges with us before booking, so we knew exactly what we were paying for, there was no uncertainty in our minds before we booked the safari.
Our tour guide was Antony, he was very knowledgable about the places, animals etc. and very friendly, he was with us for our whole trip.
On our last day at Nairobi, we wanted to have dinner at Carnivore (it is a famous exotic meat restaurant), Simon even booked us there at a discounted price :-)

Review about Tsavo West National Park by Dan McCoy

3/5

Tsavo West was huge but didn't seem to have as much wildlife as Tsavo East. We did a lot of driving and probably only saw a third as much wildlife. Still a beautiful place though.

Tsavo East did not disappoint. Saw cheetah and lots and lots of lions- with some feeding on recent kills.

Review about Samburu National Reserve by Dan McCoy

4/5

I liked Samburu but it seemed as though it was a bit on the small side for the number of safari outfitters there- thus when a lion or leopard were spotted there were immediately 10 vehicles chasing after it.

About: Kenya
Beautiful country
Overall rating
5/5

I went on a 16 day safari with Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris and was very happy with the overall experience. The wildlife was amazing and the food and transportation was really good. I ended up going to Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania on the first part of the trip and might have skipped this had I known how long it would take to get there and the hassle of the border crossings. By the time I arrived I think we only had 2.5 hours in the park before we had to leave. Aside from that though, the rest of the trip was great. Went to Amboseli, Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Samburu, Lake Naivasha, and Maasai Mara. I think Tsavo East and Maasai Mara were the highlights. Each park was unique and offered different types of habitat and wildlife. My guide Tom was great and made sure I was well taken care of. I would definitely book with them again in the future.
