Joseph our driver was great. The organisation however was awful
3/5

We booked a private transfer from Johannesburg to Krueger. This was booked for pickup at 07:00. The transfer was for 2 pax and we paid 4,500 Rand. We booked through MoAfrika tours but the transfer was with SafariLink (the vehicle we were picked up in had branding for both).

We were contacted by SafariLink on WhatsApp to reconfirm the booking details the day prior. The re confirmation stated a pickup time of 09:25 which was incorrect. We confirmed the correct details with SafariLink via WhatsApp on two occasions during the day and were told the booking was updated and we would be collected at 07:00 as expected (on both occasions).

On the day of pickup we checked out of our room early, missed breakfast and were ready for a leisurely drive to Krueger. We were ultimately picked up at 08:30 after lots of calls and messages to try and work out where our driver was.

Unfortunately the administrator at SafariLink who had confirmed the 07:00 pickup via WhatsApp had not passed the details onto Joseph. This meant we had to drive directly to Krueger with only a 5 minute stop along the way in order to ensure we did not miss any of our safari activities. The drive is c6 hours with no stops.

Joseph did a great job of making the best out of a bad situation. He made time up, he contacted our lodgings to make sure they were aware of our arrival time and kept us updated on progress along the journey. The organisation by the team who sit behind Joseph though left a lot to be desired.

The transfer vehicle was clean, modern, good WiFi capabilities etc. Joseph was also a very safe driver and pointed out points of interest along the way.

I have provided a 3* review as we paid a lot of money for the private transfer and all it led to was extra stress and inconvenience (we should have just taken the shared transfer that was included at not extra cost). Were it not for Joseph this would be a 1* review. Was the pickup on time then this would be a 5* review.

If using this Company I would suggest triple checking your booking confirmation well in advance and in the run up to your journey.

A top-notch operator with excellent guides, great attention to detail, and true passion for wildlife
5/5

We had the most unforgettable safari experience with Jungleroam Safaris, thanks to our incredible guide, Jeff.

From the very first day, Jeff impressed us with his punctuality, professionalism, and calm, confident presence. He’s tall and strong — which made us feel completely safe — yet he’s also gentle, patient, and kind. Even after long days on the road, he would still take the time to clean the car until it looked spotless. That level of care really shows his dedication.

Jeff’s passion and skill in spotting wildlife are absolutely exceptional. He was always the first to find animals — and soon after, all the other cars would arrive. Whatever we hoped to see, he made it happen: white and black rhinos, a serval, lions hunting, lion cubs, flamingos, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests and zebras crossing the river… everything we dreamed of, we saw because of him.

What touched us most was his sincerity. He once wore brand-new white shoes, but when another car got stuck in the mud, he jumped out right away to help, not caring if they got dirty. After returning to the lodge, he still offered to take us to watch the sunset, and before our flight, he even brought us shopping.

Communication with Jungleroam Safaris was smooth and clear from the beginning, and the whole trip was well-organized and great value for money.

Jeff is not just a great guide — he’s someone who truly cares about his guests and makes every moment special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Dream Safari with Mountain Warriors – 4 Unforgettable Days in Tanzania
5/5

We had an incredible experience with Mountain Warriors! From the very beginning, Rose Mary was extremely helpful. We contacted her via WhatsApp to organize a 4-day safari including:
➡️ Tarangire National Park,
➡️ 2 days in the Serengeti,
➡️ and the Ngorongoro Crater.

She created a program that was perfectly tailored to our wishes.

✈️ The Departure

We left Stone Town by plane with Flightlink (about 1h30 flight). In Arusha, Rose Mary and our guide Grason were waiting for us with warm smiles. After a short briefing, we jumped into our Land Cruiser and the adventure began!

🐘 Day 1 – Tarangire National Park

After a few bumps on the African roads, we arrived at Tarangire National Park, where we saw our first animals: zebras, giraffes, elephants, wildebeests, and many others.

On the way, we had a small battery issue – an unexpected disconnection – but Grason handled it calmly and efficiently, helped by the wonderful solidarity of other drivers. Within minutes, everything was fixed, and the journey continued smoothly.

Grason always made sure to get us as close as possible to the animals, while respecting their space.
That evening, we stayed at the Surricata Boma Lodge, a real gem: stylish bungalows, kind staff, and excellent food.

🦁 Days 2 & 3 – Serengeti National Park

After a few hours’ drive, we reached the legendary Serengeti. The landscapes and wildlife were simply breathtaking!
That evening, we stayed at Misako Lodge, a luxury tented camp right in the heart of the Serengeti — surrounded by lions, zebras, and buffalos. The staff were very professional and the meals delicious.

The next day, we continued exploring the Serengeti before heading to Marera Mountain View Lodge, another beautiful place recommended by Rose Mary.

Just a few meters from the lodge, we experienced a minor radiator problem, but once again, the local community’s solidarity was amazing — people from the nearby village quickly helped, and everything was fixed in no time!

🦏 Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater

The final stage of our safari took us to the Ngorongoro Crater — a magical day surrounded by incredible biodiversity. We were lucky enough to spot a rhinoceros!
Thanks to Grason’s experience and attention to detail, we got to see the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and countless beautiful birds.

✈️ Back to Zanzibar

After the safari, we flew back to Zanzibar. A driver was supposed to meet us at the airport to take us to our hotel for the rest of our stay.
That was the only small disappointment of the trip — when we arrived, no one was there. We had to call Rose Mary to let her know, but she quickly took care of the issue, and the driver arrived shortly after.

💬 Final Thoughts

This was a perfectly organized safari, stress-free from start to finish. Rose Mary and Grason were both kind, professional, and passionate.
Each lodge was beautifully chosen, the logistics flawless, and the landscapes simply breathtaking.
Even the small hiccups were handled with calm and professionalism, showing the strength of the team and the local solidarity.

🌍 We 100% recommend Mountain Warriors – excellent service, great organization, and very competitive prices.
A truly unforgettable experience
