Magical safari!
My husband and I took the 7 day tour with Safari Northern Tour and the experience is absolutely magical. The guide Nixon was patient and knowledgeable and has lots of experience in the area.
Everything was safe, well prepared, but at the same time, surprising. I will not spoil the details and let you explore you own experience with Safari Northern Tour!
Highly recommended!

Top Notch safari
We are a family with a 10yo girl. After careful comparison, we decided to book a 4 days/3 nights safari tour with Safari Northern Tour including Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks.
The company arranged hotels for us before and after the safari in Arusha which was really helpful. We got picked up from Kilimanjaro airport when we arrived and sent to the hotel directly. The driver even agreed to take us for a tour in Arusha because we wanted to buy some souvenirs. We didn’t need to worry about transportation etc at all in Arusha.
Our Safari guide/driver Deo was very experienced after working as a safari guide for 15 years. He could answer all our questions about animals and got the amazing ability in spotting and recognizing animals. Once in Serengeti, he spotted a cheetah from an unbelievably far distance. He stopped the car for us to take photos whenever we asked him, without any complaints. He knew the best place to stop to have a good angle for pictures. We had lunch in the picnic areas in the parks every day and the food prepared was always delicious. He asked us at the start of the tour what we would like to see the most and then would particular look for those animals for us. In the last day of our tour, the car broke down but Deo and the company immediately arranged a private car to send us back to Arusha and then next day to the airport.
Thanks a million to everyone in Safari Northern Tour for giving us an unforgettable experience

Very good organisation
Communication simple with the office
Smooth trip, very well organised

Never let us down, put together a fabulous trip, thank you
From our first dealings with Blue Crane via e-mail to our farewells at the airport, Derek and his team were always "can do" and delivered! Guided us in putting together a fabulous holiday, great value for money, no hidden extra's, would thoroughly recommend Blue Crane Safari's. We will definitely use them again for our trip to Botswana.

Incredible!
The game drives at Samburu were spectacular- huge herds of elephants, lion, even a leopard. And at night enjoying conversation and buffets and the fabulous atmosphere- just perfect! Wonderful people of Samburu tribe present with insight and stories. Our first two nights on safari and we couldn't have been more elated. Beautiful luxurious tents, amazing surroundings. Hilarious vervet monkeys stealing sugar packs from the restaurant. A magical place.

African Travels made our African dream come true!
Thank you to African Travel our trip to Botswana and Victoria Falls was just perfect. Usually we do organise all our trips on our own but when it came to organise our trip to Africa we immediately realised that to achieve what we were dreaming of, we would have to involve a local travel agency. And we are so glad we chose African Travels! Marijnke and Marieke helped us trough the decision process of what type of trip to organise (a self drive or a mobile wildcamping tour), always being super responsive to our thousand queries. All options presented to us (pre-organised tours and self drives itineraries) were very well explained and both Marijnke and Marieke gave us a lot of advice on also a personal level, which we truly appreciated. In the end we chose a 14 days wildcamping tour, the Botswana Wildside, which was easily one of the best trips of our entire lives. The tour is subcontracted to Sunways Safari, nevertheless, Marijnke and Marieke checked on us during the whole trip to make sure everything was good and as per our expectations! Well… This trip exceeded all expectations we had.!!!!!
Also they responded immediately when we had a slight problem with our last accommodation in Vic Falls and they prompty helped to resolve it. What can I say? Next trip to Africa, should it be a mobile camp, an accommodated tour, or a self drive adventure, we will for sure go with African Travels again!!!!!!
Thank you Majinke and Marieke for making this adventure possible! You are the best!

Great Hospitality!
The meals were really good. Obviously the game drives were fantastic, and our guide was amazing. The tent we were shown to was spacious with a great veranda where we sat and listened to the birds foraging in the trees overhead, a few steps away from the river. I would definitely visit again.

Moonstroll were incredibly helpful and professional
My wife, son and I recently undertook a 15-day safari with Moonstroll. We can only recommend them and their safari team highly.
We are from Southern Africa and have spend a substantial amount of time in the bush and were looking for a real 'back to nature' camping experience in the wilds.
Moonstroll certainly delivered.
The trip was all undertaken in an open game viewing vehicle which was possibly not the most comfortable vehicle to travel hundreds of kilometers on the main roads to get to our destination but was truly excellent when we arrived at the various locations and reserves. At one point, traveling through the Makgadikgadi reserve we became quite bogged down in very soft sand and were very grateful that we did have a good, off-road focussed, 4x4 to pull us out.
Our trip started with a drive of almost 250 km to the Makgadikgadi Pans to the East of Maun. Most of it on tar roads but the last 50 km on sand tracks. We spent one night in the amazing moonscape of the dry salt pans. The annual rains were just starting and within months the pans will fill and the flamingoes return.
The following day we left early and drove to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. A very long and laborious drive of over 14 hours on bumpy, difficult sand roads through the Makgadikgadi game reserve. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to make the gate and had to camp outside the reserve. There was an immense thunderstorm. The following morning we traveled on to our actual campsite (a further 3 hours) where we spent that night. The next day we left and drove back many hours to Maun where we overnighted on our way to the Makoro camp in the swamp.
Whilst in Maun we requested a meeting with the owner of Moonstroll as our itinerary driving times were far in excess of those that were shown in our itinerary. We felt that, whilst it was wonderful to see such a lot of Botswana, we were spending most of our trip in transfers rather than in the bush. We still had the Mokoro night then 2 nights at Chobe, 2 nights at Khwai, 2 nights at Savuti and 2 nights at Moremi. We realized that, based on our experience so far we would drive a whole day to get somewhere and arrive late at night followed by a day of game driving (excellent) stay that night and leave again early the next day. It was all travel. So, we requested they change the campsite bookings (not easy for them) to give us 4 nights Savuti and 4 nights Khwai.
It was the right decision. Moonstroll made it happen and we are grateful that they did.
The balance of our trip was far more relaxed. It gave us time to be in the bush and photograph the birds and animals we came to see.
The Mokoro island night was fun and elephants came and visited us in our tented camp.
Khwai was possibly the highlight as the rains had started and the river and flood plains already filling. The animal and bird diversity and density were incredible.
Savuti was incredible in its own, drier, rockier way too.
We highly commend Ben, our amazing guide and super bird identifier, and his team, Gothata (a fabulous chef), Kennedy and Gaeti (our camp builders and helpers). Monametsi, the company owner, was great and did everything possible to accommodate our every need. They were all fantastic. We would not hesitate to go with them again. In fact, we will . . . . .
