Great opportunity to explore northern Tanzania’s national parks!
5/5

This is an amazing opportunity to get a look at northern Tanzania’s national parks. From the beginning, everything was very well organized. Mo (probably your first contact for this trip as well) was very clear about what the plans were and very open about what was included in the price and what wasn’t.

The trip itself was really great, we saw a lot of animals from out jeep thanks to our driver Joseph. He is great at spotting rare animals (e.g. rhinos) and can tell you a lot about any animal you see. Next to that, he is a great guy and a safe driver.

Also the cook, Godfrey, makes great meals 3 times a day (also very nice vegetarian options). They do not supply snacks, but believe me, you wont need them. The meals were all very tasty in there was plenty of it. If you think you might get hungry between the 3 meals, just grab some extra from the meals and pack it up.

Accommodations were good, nothing fancy, but definitely better than I was expecting for this price.

Only thing I might have skipped was the visit to the Masai village. You do get a great look into their culture and how the Masai live. However, it felt very commercial to me, so I would not do a visit like that again.

All in all, great safari. We saw the big 5, the great migration of the wildebeest and many, many other animals, we were with great people in the jeep and had an amazing time. Would definitely recommend!

PS I also posted this review on TripAdvisor.

Totally seemless dream trip
5/5

We were referred by a friend to Claire at Cazanove + Lloyd to plan our African trip and we found her service and knowledge to be invaluable. C&L had planned several trips for our friend and they could not speak highly enough of them so we gave them a shot and they exceeded our expectations

We visited Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania, Claire arranged every detail including transfers and accommodation faultlessly. Claire listened to our requirements and also went out of her way to organise some extra trips to local schools and areas of interest which we had specifically requested. Every aspect of our trip including the guides, standard of accommodation and drivers was exceptional and reflected the knowledge and calibre of service from Cazanove + Lloyd.

Claire also provided us with all the information necessary to arrange appropriate Visas. Quite simply we could never have arranged this trip without Claire’s knowledge and contacts.

We live in New Zealand and every email was answered immediately and Claire happily arranged to speak with us at ties that I am sure suited us more than her.

We found Claire to be professional, reliable and extremely efficient and look forward to organising another trip with her.

Fahari Uganda Safaris is Awesome. The most amazing experience I have ever had.
5/5

Fahari picked us from Kampala and took us down to Bwindi impenetrable Forest. Before getting there, we had stop overs at Biharwe eclipse site in Mbarara - a medieval cultural site and one of the most historical monuments in Uganda from around 1520 AD. We passed by another museum on our way to Kabale, before arriving at our camp in Bwindi just in time for dinner.
The next day, we rose up early to take a long trek into Bwindi forest and find the gorilla family led by the royal and patriarchal silverback, Christmas. It was awesome and an amazing experience.
Fahari had everything in place just as we wanted it. They were friendly and engaging and took extra care to ensure we were comfortable and safe. Try Fahari Uganda Safaries. I recommend them.

Review about Mountain Zebra National Park by Brenda
Overall rating
5/5

They is without question an unappreciated Gem. The park was prestine, "oceans" of golden grass dotted with bush veld. Vistas of mountains in the distance.

The park is well maintained the accommodation excellent, staff were excellent and attentive. Zebras, zebras everywhere - mountain zebra is so special. Many black Wildebeast, red hartebeest and Blesbok. We even saw Black Rhino - very special.

We were there when locust swarm was in the park - very interesting - the birds were going wild.

I could go back over and over again - just as a quiet place to spend time.

Addo elephant Park is really worth a visit
Overall rating
5/5

We spent two nights in Addo, sleeping at the Nyathi rest camp. This accommodation is beautifully positioned in that it is really very remote (no wifi or cellphone signal - sometimes a blessing....). There is a limited amount of game to see at the camp but the scenery and peace make up for this. The accommodation is very nicely appointed and the kitchen has pretty much everything one could want (only two of every piece of crockery and cutlery - which is a bit limiting). Parks people at the camp were friendly and attentive.
We really enjoyed the park, the lists of animals that one can see does not compare with Kruger BUT this does not mean that the game viewing was not great. We saw many, many elephant. So anyone wanting a close encounter of the elephant kind - this is the place to go.
I have never seen quite so many Kudu, there are quite literally herds of Kudu - usually one encounters a solitary Kudu half obscured by a bush - not in Addo, they are as plentiful as Impala are in Kruger - well not quite but one started to think that way. The bush pigs are very plentiful. We also saw lots of zebra.
The waterholes are the places to go to, easy viewing but one has to pick your time - as is the case at any waterhole - the animals are there and then they are gone.
We are not big "birders" but we saw some nice birds and the cherry was the secretary bird - wonderful.
The roads have been pretty well maintained and the restaurant and shops (some very nice up market curios - similar to what we have seen in the airport at ORT) are in pretty good shape. Overall we were impressed.
Addo clearly has some problems with regards to over grazing in some area and while one could be critical I would rather see it as a work in progress - especially when one considers the state of some other parks in South Africa/Africa.

Emmanuel the guide was so knowledgeable, passionate, engaging, entertaining.
5/5

While planning the trip, Fahari Uganda Safaris took the time to talk to us, so that they knew exactly what we wanted and they provided just that. Upon arrival, I realized that there was no need to worry or stress, about anything, everything was organized perfectly.

Waking up in Kisoro, we were treated to rolling hills, mountain Scenery and beautiful views of Lake Mutanda.
I and the group fully took in the spirit of Bwindi Impenetrable forest and its inhabitants. The Forest enveloped us in thick green and giving us a jungle mood. We took in the Emerald sights, smells and sounds of this two million years forest.
After an hour of trekking through this African Jungle, pushing the misty branch leaves aside and on slippery grounds, the ranger whispered in the walkie- talkie and a few minutes later, I stepped forward and there he was, sitting by himself. The idea of getting up-close and personal to such a huge beast is terrifying. They say that seeing a mountain gorilla cannot be matched by any other experience with animals, and I can testify to that.
Fahari, Uganda Safaris, Organized for us an interesting and amazing trip. They cared much about us having a fantastic experience. We had an incredible time and we were able to capture so many awesome pictures. The organization of the trip and accommodations were excellent and the meals superb. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip!
Fahari, Uganda Safaris did not disappoint. They did an amazing job in putting together an amazing trip. I am already thinking about when to go back or which other trip I should take with them.
