Thank you for the adventure of a lifetime!
5/5

What an awesome and unique experience this was; the nature was stunning and very diverse, the wildlife was awe inspiring and the service before and throughout our trip was excellent!

We did a basic 5 day Safari - starting from Arusha on to Tarangire, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and lake Manyara. We had three excellent guides/drivers: Jefdan, Frederick and Macha all made our trip exciting, interesting and lots of fun!

Daudi was our contact person and he arranged everything for us, which made the trip very relaxing and stress-free. He was very helpful and proactive and made sure every wish we had was taken care of.

Thanks Daudi for your incredible service, and thank you Meijo Safari for this amazing holiday!

Truly professional
5/5

They are truly professional. Great guide and in our case an aprentice too. Everything perfectly arranged and with no setbacks. The 4x4 Toyota was very good, nice accomodations and great overall experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and everything in the National Parks that we visited, and he was really helpful.

Enchanting Experience- The Great Migration at Serengeti North
5/5

Our family went on a vacation during September 2023 to Tanzania, especially to visit Central and North Serengeti National Parks.
We did had an opportunity to witness "The Great Migration" thrice of the wildebeest and also a hunt by the big cat. The whole experience was amazing, unbelievable and splendid and looked like once in a life time opportunity.

Thanks to our guide, Simon, who was efficient enough to spot and predict at which spot the migration would take place, all he used to say was, “be patient”, the formation of the herd would happen, few Zebras were the navigation masters and they would decide if it’s safe to cross the river or not, a safety feature to avoid the predators like crocodiles and thereafter the migration takes place. The narration by Simon was so good, it was like a bedtime storytelling to a small kid , and the migration took place just like his script.

It was a week full of adventure and action, our family enjoyed the stay in the middle of the parks, in the tents , it was amazing to have variety of food in the midst of the jungle and the roars of the lions. In total, it was an “enchanting experience” and the best value for money, for me and my family.

However, there was a small hiccup to our Mandaru Huts, Kilimanjaro trek as the time was insufficient to trek up certain height and return back same day to the hotel, as the hotel chosen was very far from the Kilimanjaro base camp and it took us half a day to reach the base camp, a hotel nearer to the base camp would be better to avoid travelling and utilise the full day. Barring this, the rest of the trip went like clock work precision.

Thanks to Jose, the trip designer, for his patience in designing the trip to our requirements and to Simon the guide for his bushmen knowledge and to all the back end team who coordinated so well, to make our trip flawless and memorable.

Best wishes,

Great experience and superb host
5/5

The whole experience, from start to finish, was amazing.

The pick up went smoothly from the airport to our first lodge. The lodge itself was basic but all you need for a short with very hospitable hosts. Daudi welcomed us and gave us a short briefing.

The next day our amazing experience started. The drivers were very kind, funny and had lots of knowledge. 5-days of unique safari experience!

We forgot one of our binoculars in a jeep while switching jeeps and this was easily fixed the next day.

Would highly recommend Meijo Safaris.

Incredible safari experience
5/5

We had a 5 day safari with Suricata - and ist was an incredible experience.

They picked us up from the airport and gave us a briefing in the hotel we arrived in.

Our tour guide was Freddy, who was just amazing. He was always on the lookout and was full of knowledge.

All the accommodations were perfects, especially the Suricata Boma Lodge. The cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day were delicious and exceeded my expectations.

Thanks also to Daniel's welcome who came to us before the safari to explain everything.

I highly recommend Suricata.

Our tour operator orchestrated a seamless, thrilling, and unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.
5/5

Our 4 day safari experience in Tanzania's Serengeti was an absolute dream come true, and it wouldn't have been the same without our incredible guide, Ally! Ally’s calm and kind demeanor made every moment on the safari extraordinary. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the BEST experience, sharing his wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and the ecosystem.

Our Serengeti safari was a wildlife wonderland! Giraffes, lions, elephants, hyenas, rhino (from a distance), hippos, flamingos, zebras, wildebeest, and cheetahs graced us with their presence. A mesmerizing adventure, leaving us in awe of nature's grandeur.

The accommodation exceeded all expectations—truly top-tier. The lodging was comfortable, blending seamlessly with the natural beauty of the Serengeti. The people at the camp radiated a warm and positive energy, making our stay even more delightful.

One of the most memorable parts of the trip was when we all gathered around the campfire under the vast African night sky, dancing and singing. It was a joyful evening that added a special touch to our adventure.

Overall, this safari experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring. If you're seeking adventure, natural beauty, and a taste of Tanzanian culture, a safari in the Serengeti with Ally as your guide is an absolute must!

About: Giltedge
Imagine your perfect safari vacation and then put a cherry on top!
5/5

We just returned from our third trip to South Africa, arranged by Giltedge. First two were through our US travel agent, this last one we worked directly with Tamera at Giltedge. Since this was our third trip, we knew exactly what we wanted and a big part of that was working with Giltedge. As always, Giltedge took care of everything from the minute we landed in Johannesburg to the moment we boarded our flight home. Specifically we wanted to visit Victoria Falls and then an extended safari in Sabi Sands (Notten' Bush Camp). She provided options for Victoria Falls and even got us the cottage we wanted at Notten's. When she asked if I wanted her to make my flights, as a retired road warrior, I graciously declined, as I have a fistful of status with my regular airline. She replied, "You don't even want to see a price?" I responded, "Well it won't likely change, but what do I have to lose?" She was able to save me money for business class over what I could have done for myself in economy plus. Having worked with Giltedge before, I knew what I would get. With the exception of one phone call, we handled the entire thing over email. I cannot finish this review without a word about Notten's Bush Camp. If you are looking for an intimate, family-like experience, Notten's is worth considering. All the conveniences of home, but with a real emersion into the bush. We saw the big five on our very first day, with a chetah added-in. By the time you leave, you will feel a part of their family and your traveling companions added-in. Go with Giltedge. They can help you plan the trip of your dreams.

Trip of a lifetime
5/5

This was my wife's and my first time in Tanzania and first time doing a safari. Our experience surpassed all expectations thanks to the awesome job job done by Lion King Adventures and it's staff.

Pendo was our point of contact leading up to the trip and was quick to respond to our many questions and would send over clear sets of instructions/guides leading up to our trip that made our travels and preparation a smooth experience.

Our driver to and from the airport, Tumaini, was very friendly and a safe driver. He was very happy to teach us words in Swahili and give us information about Arusha and the various sights around.

Lastly, our safari guide Gilbert helped make our trip absolutely unforgettable. He is very friendly and happy to answer all the many questions we had about animals and Tanzania in general. He is an excellent driver navigating all the roads in the region and is incredibly knowledgeable about every single animal and about Tanzania and culture in general. He was also happy to give us Swahili lessons while we drove around. He is an excellent guide with a great eye for spotting animals and ensured that we saw everything we wanted to see on our trip. It's also very clear that he is passionate about the wildlife and was very respectful in making sure we didn't disturb the animals while we were viewing them.

I cannot recommend Lion Kind Adventures and it's staff enough - we had the trip of a lifetime thanks to them. Asante sana!

Safari your with Aruni from Karibu
5/5

We booked a five day jeep safari of the Maasai Mara and some other local parks with Karibu Safari Tours.

After being collected from the airport and taken to Karibu's office in Nairobi, we were introduced to our guide, Aruni.

After some initial discussion and clarification of the accommodation that had been booked with Karibu we were on our way.

Aruni was very knowledgeable of the animals and their habitats, providing interesting insight as we travelled around each of the parks. Aruni was also well acquainted with the most likely places to find the big five, managing to show us four of the big five in action on the first day of safari and the fifth the next day, whilst also showing us many other animals each day.

We stayed in a tented camp in the Maasai Mara, close to the Maasai village which was also interesting. We booked to stay in a tented resort as this felt in keeping with the overall experience, however even the medium level of resort proved to be rather basic. This is not a critism of the resort as the standards seeme to be consistent. However, if you are more focused  on the comfort rather than the authenticity of accommodation, a lodge may be a more appropriate choice.

The whole safari was a complete success thanks to Aruni, who proved to be an expert guide.

I throughly recommend both our tour operator, Kalibu, and our safari guide Aroni.

Thank you.

Perfectly planned and seamlessly executed.
5/5

Our experience with Alika was perfect from planning to execution. Stacy worked with us to curate a trip that met our wants, timeline, and of course budget. We had full faith going into the trip, and of course, were not disappointed. We went to N. Serengeti, C. Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. Each had a different landscape to appreciate with abundant wildlife, and working with Stacy, we had different lodging experiences at each based on budget.

We were lucky enough to get Msangi as a guide, who has 28 years of experience and was once head of the association of guides in Tanzania for 8 years. He was an expert spotter, professional, and focused on getting us intimate experiences with wildlife rather than following the crowds of parked jeeps as many inexperienced guides may do. We saw almost all we wanted to see on the first day in N. Serengeti and the rest of the trip was almost all bonus!

Couldn't recommend Alika (Duma) enough! p.s., as a gay couple, we felt very supported by Alika.
