I did the safari in Nyerere National Park. Long day, bumpy roads (African massage), but amazing. A lot of wildlife, was sad not to seen any rhinos. The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about the both the flora and the fauna that surrounded us. If you're an American, be prepared to be surrounded by Europeans. I was travelling alone and in my truck there were 4 Russians and 2 Germans. Needless to say, there was not a lot of cross communication.
If you go to Tanzania, you have to go to Zanzibar. Amazing architecture, the spice market, great hotels and restaurants, and very welcoming people. If you are brave enough, take a motorcycle taxi. They all speak English and are good riders. Much faster than a dalladalla (local bus).
I will return - best country in Africa.

I will say about this Hotel that it is the only one in the area that was left with electricity after a total blackout in the city. We were the only ones. The whole city in the dark except us.
As for the Safari, everything a child dreams of seeing animals, you have it... amazing. We did 3 days and enough, there are many hours of cars that take their toll. In Serengeti we sleep in a place that is a dream come true… just like in Ngorongoro. I advise paying a little more to sleep in a better place, it is appreciated after the jeep beatings.

Informative and helpful
Our drivers were happy to tell us facts about the animals we saw on our safaris. We felt safe, and the tour ran smoothly. Masai Mara was beautiful, and I’m happy they shared it with us. Excellent service as well, they allow you to charge your phone if needed. And the car has good leg space :)

The beauty of Zimbabwe was a revelation to me and with no visa required , easy, quick and cheap access and top class accommodation it really is worth a visit.Vic Falls leaves one breathless and a helicopter flight over the Falls is highly recommended. Hideways Nantwich Lodge is close to the airport and is steeped in history .The outlook over the dam is magnificent and a natural magnet for the large elephants herds and numerous specie of other wildlife. I only stayed for one night which I thoroughly enjoyed but will be back for more next year.
