Amazing national parks. We went to Tsavo, Amboseli and Maasai Mara and all of them were surprising. Kenya really cares its parks.

Our Kruger safari was booked with Viva Safaris and they were brilliant. Every single member of staff were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay amazing. We chose the 5 Day Tremisana / Treehouse Safari which was wonderful especially the Treehouse as we saw giraffe elephant and antelope wandering free around the Accomodation. Every night there was a fire pit lit and it was so atmospheric to sit outside. We loved the whole experience and we saw rhino, buffalo, leopard, elephant and lion to name but five.

We did organize this trip for our 20th wedding anniversary, expecting an amazing experience in a wild preserved, and authentic place. Tanzania definitely is.
We did book our trip through Soul of Tanzania who did provide very relevant advice to make our trip unforgettable. We highly recommend Tanzania for the beauty of the landscapes, the preservation of its wildlife and the extreme attention we have received from the inhabitants of this country.

At the end of the dry season with an almost unreal landscape of dry savannah just getting green after a bit of rainfall we conducted a 5 day safari close to the Kruger National Park. It was a very special experience to see and experience the big five, as well as other animals, in their natural surroundings. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and eco-minded, taking care of the animals as well as of us. Our accommodation in a treehouse was absolutely beautiful and the food served as three course meals! outside was amazing.

We were positively surprised. So lucky to have seen so many free wild animals so close to us right on the first few days. In addition, very friendly people, great climate and good food.

Meektrails made this a trip of a lifetime.
5/5

This review is unfortunately delayed but based on a safari from June/July of 2022. After receiving five bids/proposals from various safari companies, my wife, teenage daughter, and I zeroed-in on Meektrails. I found Meektrails to fall in the midrange between the most and least expensive competitors. What made Meektrails stand out from the other companies was the responsiveness and expertise of their founder, Daniel Waruri. Daniel provided detailed responses to inquiries, and almost always responded to our questions within minutes. My family and I decided on booking a seven-day safari to Amboselli (AA Lodge), Sweetwaters (Serena Camp / Ol Pejeta Conservancy), Lake Naivasha (Sopa Resort), and the Maasai Mara (Zebra Plains). Our only adjustments from the original proposal substituted Lake Naivasha for Lake Nakuru and lodging at Zebra Plains at the Maasai Mara instead of AA Lodge. These adjustments were made quickly, and an updated proposal was sent immediately to us from Daniel.

For two days prior to the safari in Nairobi, we stayed at the Boma Nairobi and shared this information with Daniel. At the conclusion of our safari we needed to be dropped off at Nairobi International for a flight to Mombasa. Daniel offered to pick us up at the Boma and drop us off at the conclusion of the safari at the airport.

Our guide Eric was phenomenal. Not only did Eric coordinate with us on daily details and preferences, but he was also engaging, friendly and an informative host. Eric’s kindness punctuated a great trip and really made it a trip of a lifetime. We were in Kenya during the beginning activity associated with the annual animal migration. Based on this, we did not expect to see the great migration. However, Eric’s expertise came through and he managed to help us see some amazing aspects of the migration. Additionally, Eric’s skills led us to seeing the “Big Five.” Most of the Big Five we saw multiple times.

It is hard to think of our “favorite” part of the trip with animals and lodging. I should preface these thoughts with this important point; the focus of our trip was the animals and the setting. Not lodging or food. That said, some met our expectations, and some exceeded them. The AA Lodge in Amboselli was fine. The food was tasty, the beds comfortable, and the hot water was sufficient. Although the accommodations were basic, the staff was great and they had nightly Maasai cultural talks/dances. Sweetwaters: Serena Camp felt upscale. From the linens to the lodge and great food, it felt far more expensive than it was. The Sopa in Lake Naivasha was otherworldly. Giraffes, and zebras were everywhere! At one point we had nine zebras on our back porch. After dark, hippos were around, resulting in escorts to the lodge being needed, but they responded quickly and were fun to talk to. The best part of the Sopa was the food, perhaps the best of the trip. Zebra Plains in the Maasai Mara was well worth the upgrade and another highlight. The setting was the best part of the Sopa. Seeing the sun rise over a dozen giraffes walking past each morning was remarkable.

In summary, Daniel’s customer service was amazing, our guide Eric was a kind expert, and the name Meektrails goes a long way when checking in. Everyone knows Eric and Daniel! Thank you very much Eric and Daniel for a trip of a lifetime.

I totally recommend the experience.

Max helped us to arrange a great Safari. Ken was an excellent guide, he picked us up where we were staying and was always very friendly and teached us about the country and a little bit of swahili. He tooks us through the best areas of every park, and we were able to see the big 5 and many other animals.

Recently returned from the most superb travel and safari experience! The Peaks and Safaris staff is beyond accommodating, Vera was wonderful and in constant contact with us from the moment we booked our trip and there to greet us the morning we departed for our safari adventure.
Chris our guide was so pleasant and knowledgeable, he made sure we got the most out of our trip and went out of his way to make sure our experience was one of a kind.
The value for the money was very reasonable, the accommodations comfortable and the food was great.
I can't express enough how much I enjoyed the itinerary Peaks & Safaris put together for us and would definitely recommend.

*I highly recommend Big Apes Africa*
My trip to Uganda was well arranged without leaving a single detail. Our guide was friendly and knew many things. My experience was the best I could imagine. From the wildlife to the people and the food I had not tasted in a very long time.
During booking, my contact person Peter answered all the questions with a lot of patience.
I highly recommend Big Apes Africa for anyone planning to visit Uganda!
