What a great adventure!
Me and my wife decided to go for a safari based on the price and internet reviews of the operators and we picked Mufasa. And it was a great pick!
First and foremost - Nelson. This guy is a treasure. He has gone above and beyond in order to show us all the animals and get my wife the best possible (photo) shots (to quote Nelson). He was able to spot the animals (mostly in the places I would never expect them to be) and he always made sure we see them too. And he is very knowledgeable too - I got quite many “fun facts” to impress people with once we will be showing them those amazing pictures my wife took :)
Yes, driving in Kenya would be a challenge for a westerner. But worry not - there are guys like Nelson, who, on one hand, would get you safely where you need to be and will make sure you do not spend the whole day on the route. We have been traveling in a minibus - in case you wonder it was totally fine and I can recommend. Only once we wished we had had an SUV, when crossing a river. If you read this sentence again you will know that if in doubts, you will be totally fine with a minibus.
Nelson also made sure we always had enough time for traveling and resting. Yes, this means you will have to wake up early, but hey, guess when the animals are the most active:)
Nelson was great, and so was Mufasa. Everything went as we’ve agreed with them on. We paid in dollars with a card, no additional surcharge was added in case you wonder, so you do not need a pile of banknotes. They got us some great souvenirs, which we took home and we are showing off with that. On top, they also helped us buy train tickets to Mombasa (it is not that easy!) and organized a hotel transfer in Mombasa (much cheaper vs what the hotel offered us). An optional part of the safari trip is a visit to the Maasai village - go if you want to, but you will be equally fine skipping it. Fortunately, this is optional.
Hotels were also good - in case you wonder, they look exactly as in the pictures. We had those mid range facilities and we’ve been very happy with all of those. Clean rooms, good food and additional attentions (ever seen a hippo from the window? ;) ).
All in all - highly recommended! Mufasa is a great choice. What can they do better? Clone Nelson :)

Charismatic, knowledgable, trustworthy. A highly recommended guide for an amazing experience.
Following a recommendation, me and my friends went on our first week-long safari with Iddy. From the first pick-up, I felt incredibly welcomed and in good hands. We took tents for bush camping on a private five-night trip from Arusha through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and back. We were having a blast on our day tours watching the plethora of species, spotting a single leopard or patiently observing a lone lioness feed in the only car around. A cook on our side, which we took from camp to camp, provided us with lunch packages for the day and made sure nothing was missing in the early mornings and and late evenings. Iddy proved great endurance, navigational excellence and high driving skill on the rough and narrow bits. Above all, he entertained and educated us in fluent German. He anwsered our questions without talking through the day, he went in on our wishes but always masterminded the whole tour. His well-maintained equipment and charging in the jeep made the trip a very pleasant experience. I had an amazing time throughout and will definetely return for another adventure with Iddy.

Safari for ever with Shemeji Safari Tanzania
We've booked a 7-day Safari Tour with Shemeji Safari in Tansania. That was a really exciting, memorable and well organized trip in every detail. We've visited Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Manyara National Parks plus Natron See National Park and Kilimanjaro National Park. We've seen a lot: the "big five" as Buffalo, Elefant, Leopard, Lion, and Rhino, and many plus animals as Cheetah, Crocodile, Hyena, Jackel, Mongoose, Baboon, many Antelops, Giraffe and Zebras, not to forget the Wildbeest, Wharthog and Hyppoes, plus nice looking birds. All this exciting animals were presented by our very talanted and devoted guide Khalid, who tirelessly searched the places of animals even in his overtime. We saw mindestens 50 lions, many zebras, giraffes and a part of Big Migration with thousands of zebras and wildebeests moving from Kenya to Serengeti back. The lodges, where we have spent our nights were perfect, the food given excellent and the staff for Lodges very helpful and friendly. Many thanks for this unforgettable journey. Extraordinary Namibia Experience by a truly fantastic tour company
Elvis was the consummate guide- knowledgeable, companionable, and eager to show us Namibia. Every aspect of our Compass Odyssey tour was impeccably arranged. The level and extent of our pre-tour communication with Darren was remarkable- our regular tour company (OAT) could not hold a candle to the service and flexibility demonstrated by Compass Odyssey, and we would gladly travel with the company again. Our experiences ranged from the haunting, majestic dunes to the glorious seashore to the wildlife rich Etosha National Park- truly the adventure of a lifetime. And we had traveled to Africa 4 times previously! I'm just glad we found out about Compass Odyssey and were able to travel with them. The 4 of us in our little group had a fabulous time, and it was absolutely a terrific value. The only drawback was the time spent transiting from one area to the next on very dusty roads-

Had a wonderful time touring Tanzania's Serengeti NP with Mazingira!
We had a fascinating trip covering the whole of Serengeti and the surrounding interesting areas with our Mazingira travel arrangements. Our driver cum guide Simon was determined to show us all exciting happenings in this Animal world. We saw the migration at least three times and saw the big cats and hundreds and thousands of zebras, wilderbeasts. Elephants were always an exciting experience and giraffes and other numerous animal life were all there in their habitats. The driving was exciting and the camps we stayed, comfortable and welcoming. Our contact person JohariMsangi was always ready and prompt attending to all our queries and facilitating our trip. All in all, we had a wonderful trip.
