Look no further if you are planning a safari to Africa!! The amazing, knowledgeable, friendly staff at Wandering Thru were great from my very first email to them. Ale responded immediately and she was so incredibly helpful in answering my numerous questions. Tayla filled in promptly when Ale was on safari and between the two of them (and some other wonderful people behind the scenes), we arranged my dream safari to the border of Kruger National Park in South Africa!! It was very easy on my part, and they did the rest! We booked fantastic Tristan to be our private guide throughout, and he was so very kind, friendly, informative, patient and down to earth! With Tristan's experience and expertise, along with the skills of our awesome guides & trackers at Nkorho and Ngala, we were graced with the presence of leopards, giraffe, rhinos, buffalos, zebra, hippos, elephants, lions, impala, kudu, nyala, a honey badger, hyenas, wild dogs and their pups and even the white lioness and her little white cub!!! From start to finish, I trusted Wandering Thru completely and they truly made my lifelong dream of going on safari come true!! If I could give them a million stars, I would! Honeymoon Safari
Robin planned a spectacular honeymoon to Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa in June 2023. Our two weeks were magical, filled with incredible game viewing opportunities and special intimate moments. All of our transfers were seamless and the camps were magnificent.
Robin went above and beyond when United cancelled our flight at midnight from the tarmac, hopping on the phone late at night with us to provide guidance and updating all of our logistics upon arrival. She also took significant time after the trip helping us with insurance claims to reclaim the costs incurred by having to purchase a next day Delta flight when United didn't have any flights available for days.
We could not recommend Safari Ventures enough!

Unbelievably incredible trip!
Words cannot begin to describe how incredible our trip was. Caesar and Emma were amazing guides. They went way above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The hotels were very nice and the service was spectacular. The wildlife was incredible.

Professional, knowledgeable - delivered an amazing experience!
I feel like I can never go on another safari ever again because this was such an amazing experience. The drivers were knowledgeable and friendly - and went above and beyond to make it a trip of a life time. The animals were out on force during an unusually cold snap, but the drivers were willing to stop whenever we wanted, despite this being to take a photo of the 300th elephant or giraffe. The hot water bottles in camp were a great touch!

Excellent Value
A very well-organized safari covering all the highlights of the Northern Circuit in 5 days. Every aspect of the safari (itinerary, accommodations, staff, etc) was superb. Our guide/driver, Damien, was great and went above and beyond to ensure good sightings.

Amazing Experience.
We had a 9N/ 10D tour planned by Discover Africa. Our experience was nothing short of AMAZING!! We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience. We landed at Johannesburg and were there just for 2 days. We covered the Apartheid Museum, visited Soweto and a Joburg City Tour. We were then transferred to Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge. Our drive there was so beautiful. We already spotted one of the Big5 on the way itself. Our guide for the day also stopped at Azul pitstop and we spotted Sables, Rhinos, Impalas and other antelopes. We could already feel the thrill of our Safari experience. On arriving at Hoyo Hoyo, we were welcomed by the manager himself and shortly left on our afternoon game drive. On our first game drive itself, we spotted a Pride of 10 lions and it was such a joy to watch them. Not to forget, our wonderful Safari Guide Ms. Jana Du Plesis. She made sure to give us the best experience on each of our game drives. In the next few game drives we spotted the Leopard and Buffalos along with so many other animals and birds. For those of you who have never experienced wildlife and nature so closely, this is a MUST TRY and we are lucky to have spotted all the BIG 5! We only wish we spent a few more days at Kruger. After 2 days at Hoyo Hoyo, we travelled on the Panorama route to witness breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. We then stayed at Olivers- White River for the night. This was one of our best stays and we absolutely loved the property, food, and just the whole vibe. Coming to the last leg of our trip, we flew the next morning from Mpumalanga Airport to Cape Town. Cape Town is by far one of the most splendid cities I've visited. The landscapes, the drives, the wine tours, each and everything was SO AMAZING! We also added a shark cage dive tour at the last minute and Megan at Discover Africa was so prompt in replying to us and helping us with our last minute changes. She was so kind to even answer to all our queries even much before the trip and has always been so prompt. All in all, South Africa should definitely be on one's bucket list. Thank You Discover Africa for this experience and we hope to be back in SA soon.
