Best time to visit Botswana
Botswana is a beautiful country. If it's wildlife spotting you're after, try the Chobe National Park - it's the country's second-largest national park. Summer lasts between November and March so I would recommend going outside of those months as it can get extremely hot. 12 day safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire
We wrote off to half a dozen companies, most of whom came back within a couple of days, however, Simon at EASTCO seemed to have a more professional approach and the accompanying explanatory documentation was extremely helpful and just what we were looking for. Although his was probably the most expensive, we preferred his suggestion of starting in Mwanza rather than Arusha. For the first week we stayed in ‘special’ campsites which means that you take in everything you need – water, food, dig your own loo and a much more basic way of living. A bit more expensive than staying in public campsites but so much nicer. We also stayed in a couple of beautiful lodges during the second week - Boundary Hill in Tarangire was one of the most stunning places I've ever stayed in. In terms of equipment, the tents could do with a bit of repair and the Landrover was old but serviceable but it wasn’t an issue for us. We stopped a few times to help the newer Landcruisers who had broken down but our Landrover drove through anything and, to be honest, in wet season you would need this type of vehicle to access some of the places we went to. Tanzanian people are the loveliest, friendliest ever. I felt incredibly safe and everybody we met was helpful and courteous. Our guide, Cosmos, was absolutely superb and I cannot speak highly enough of him – cheerful and hugely knowledgeable. EASTCO is a good organisation and I would certainly recommend them and use them again. All accommodation was well organised and any minor issues were sorted out very quickly.

A quite good safari trip from Gecko Adventure
We made a two day safari tour in August 2013 in Mikumi National Park with Gecko Adventure (Mr.Rama). I did the reservation from homeland, and there was almost no problem with tour organization. This was the only organization that sent me the exact tour schedule (hour by hour), and we fully complied with this schedule. We stayed in Mikumi Wildlife Camp (inside the park) and it was perfect, clear and friendly. The safari guide (Mr. Sky) was also very good, he made his best to fulfill all our requests and hence we were able to see all types of animals in two day game drive (some guests in hotel haven't seen any lion in two days, but we were able to see 8 lions just in a half day drive). The only disappointment was that the safari vehicle was not the same as promised. It was a van instead of jeep but later in safari it had no disadvantage.

Very good holiday - might had upgraded the first hotel if i had known how basic it would be - was expecting it not to be great but would have liked better if i had known more detail.

We have spend a dream trip thanks gecko adventure and his planning which was perfect.
The service was perfect and for the "Selous" safari, we were alone in the Reserve. It's was very good to see animals and the lodge, a place of peace and beauty. You must take the plan to dar es sallam, it's fantastic.Zanzibar is a very nice place to relax. The planning has been respected and no problem of transport.
I think this isone it's one of the best travel we have ever done, thanks Rama.

Amazing safari experience with very knowledgeable and friendly staff
We spent 7 days with Savannah Explorers and had a wonderful time. David, titled 'Lucky David' by one of the camp managers, was our guide and he sure lived up to his title. From the very beginning we saw giraffes and elephants up close at Lake Manyara. In the Serengeti we were lucky enough to see 4 of the big 5, including a lion kill! In Ngorongoro we saw 2 black rhino. Savannah Explorers made this trip happen in an enjoyable way by having guides who are so friendly and knowledgeable and knowing the camps that provide great service. Roberto and Grayson, the managers of SE, were also great. They were very responsive and helped us organize the safari efficiently, as well as checked in on us while we were there. They were very flexible and able to quickly help us with some additions to our initial safari plan.

This was our first safari, so I have nothing to compare it to. I can say this. The service and people were wonderful. They picked us up on time, dropped us off for a breakfast. Were friendly and personable. It was a wonderful day :) I would recommend them.

A wunderful experience: less luxury, more nature.
The tour guide is a very experienced man. Hes still accompained from his colleague since many years. The two men are very motivated to let the guest see and know everything which is possible: "reading" the nature and animals, explaining background, changements, developments. They have a lot of patiences, can specially for those who love wait, who have enough time, who like to search and to oserve the animals for more than just a few minutes. With Kangela Safaris there is no rushing around in the bush: there is Quality instead of quantity. We loved the comfortable Camping in the bush right next to the waterwhole with the lovely selfmade meals on the fire, the beautiful evenings with storytelling... and linstening to the Sound of the animal.
