AMAZING itinerary and experience
I traveled with Nziza to Uganda for 6 days in March 2021. It was my first time in the country and did not know what to expect. Bernard put together a cohesive, exciting and full itinerary, and even before the departure I received a lot of information, had the opportunity to ask all my questions and this included also recommendations about essential information about Uganda, what to expect, what to pack, etc...
When I made it to Entebbe and during the whole trip, I was completely overwhelmed with the country itself, it was amazing to see so many different climates and opportunities. We saw hills, crater lakes, cities, savannah, rivers, Lake Victoria, the source of the Nile, the Equator... and most of all, the jungle and forests with sights of chimps and Gorillas, who let us observe them. It was overall an incredible stay, and I found that traveling now (during COVID times) was especially interesting as there was no other tourists, we had the opportunity to really sink in the culture, the people, the sights and experiences.
Throughout the stay, Bernard and his team took amazing care of us and we loved our experience from A to Z. Highly recommend visiting Uganda with Nziza, it was amazing!

Great Safari with efficient and fast communication and organization! Ask for Anita ;)
I booked a 5-day mid-range group Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks with Serengeti Camping Safari for me and a friend. My contact point was Anita, who went above and beyond for us! The communication with her was always fast and reliable, she provided a lot of helpful advice and information in the preparation phase, and even helped us getting set up with a local sim, exchanging money etc. upon arrival. When I mentioned that I love mangoes, she bought me a bag of them on the local market to take on the Safari :).
During our stay, everything went smoothly. Airport pickup and dropoff worked perfectly, as well as the introductory briefing and payment. We had a last minute change of plans (Lake Manyara National Park was flooded, so we had to change to Tarangire) but the reasoning was well explained and we were offered to stick to the original plan at no extra cost after the rest of the group had already decided to go with the proposed change. Our accommodations were absolutely amazing and for Serengeti NP (where we stayed for two nights including New Years) we even received a last minute upgrade to a fabulous lodge. Our driver/guide was nice and provided a lot of insightful information. When returning to Arusha, there was a little misunderstanding with our hotel (which was part of the package), but that wasn´t a big deal, and Anita stopped by once again to make sure that everything went well (we really loved her!).
The only thing that led to some complications during the Safari was that people who booked low-budget and mid-range were put in the same car. So we lost some time in the morning and evening picking up and dropping off people at different accommodations. But due to the low number of travelers during the pandemic, of course it may be necessary to mix groups. This is just something to keep in mind if you consider booking a private safari instead. Another thing is that the travelers in our group who booked low-budget were not very happy with their accommodation (it rained during our visit and the camps were flooded, tents provided by campground were not waterproof etc.). However, I understand that they did not book with Serengeti Camping Safari but with a different operator. And the weather risk is obviously not on the company either. Just another thing to consider for future travelers when deciding on which type of safari you want to book. The extra money for the mid-range option is absolutely worth it!

Excellent service
Everything about Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours was excellent. I booked everything online before travelling, from airport transfers to accommodation and activities and everything met my expectations. Communications were timely and flawless. Most of my activities were put on discount too!!!

An unforgettable trip to Uganda thanks to NGONI Safaris!
We wouldn't change a thing in our memorable 18-days safari trip!
We booked with Ngoni Safaris and we are so grateful, we did. Our personal contact Sedrick, answered all our question we had regarding our trip pretty prompt. A very special "THANK YOU" goes to our lovely guide and trained driver Ben. He took always great care of us and helped with his knowledge in every situation. Ngoni safaris managed everything to include accomodations, transportation, meals and booking activities. And they really made it a personalized and memorable experience. We spent every two nights in a different lodge and always got the best room or safari tent. We were blown away by the amazing cuisine, weather, culture, welcoming people and activities (e.g. rafting on the white nile was so much fun!). We didn't want to leave one place after the other, but what was awaiting always exceeded our expectations. The highlight of our tour was the gorilla AND the chimpanzee tracking. An unforgetable experience meeting those giants und little "humans" (baby gorillas) in a lush green rainforest! We always had amazing guides, saw wildlife up close and personal, went on bush walks and enjoyed great food as well. The destinations alone would have made this an incredible trip, but Ben really went above and beyond for us. After seeing pictures from our trip, I always wish to go back to enjoy more of this beautiful country! We will absolutely, without a doubt, be recommending Ngoni Safaris. Thanks so much!

it could not have been better
First of all, and most important: Thank you! Thank you Haruna (our guide) for making this trip such an unbelievable experience. During our 10-day roundtrip through the various national parks of Uganda, you made us feel safe & comfortable allowing us to enjoy the “ride” thoroughly. While being a reliable driver, you provided countless information regarding the country as well as its wildlife in perfect English language. However, what we liked even more were the interesting and deep discussions about our different cultural backgrounds leading to an exchange and sometimes even an adoption of rituals, practices or habits.
We arrived at Entebbe International Airport in the middle of the night, with transport to our accommodation already arranged. Everything went as planned and, after a first delicious breakfast consisting of assorted fruits, pancakes and coffee the next morning, Haruna picked us up in his comfortable tourist van where you could raise the roof while on safari. We then started our journey to the different national parks of Lake Mburo, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale and Murchison Falls before heading back to Kampala to do a Covid-19 test and then Entebbe to fly back to Germany. Throughout the various national parks, we were able to see elephants, hippos, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, buffalos, chimpanzees, baboons, various other species of monkeys, mountain gorillas, multiple beautiful birds as well as many other animals. When we weren’t able to see the wild animals that we were supposed to see in a specific national park during our first game drive (safari) there, Haruna was relentless in pulling all strings possible and even offering a second unplanned game drive in that national park when time would allow it. While every single game drive was enjoyable and delivered an animal species that we hadn’t seen before, the penetration of the “impenetrable forest” in Bwindi to see the mountain gorillas was another big highlight. After an exhausting (but easily doable for people of average fitness) 2-hour hike up the mountain, we essentially became part of a gorilla family for one hour. The gorillas didn’t mind the human presence at all, allowing you to observe our tremendously smart and impressive relatives from a very close distance. Certainly a must-do for frenetic wildlife fans who can afford it!
On the road from one national park to the other, Haruna quickly recognized what was most important for us: He made sure that we had a constant supply of drinking water, asked regularly if we had to use the washrooms and let us enjoy the scenery and culture. We stopped for typical Ugandan food, fruit markets along the highway and different viewpoints where we wanted to take photo. Basically, whenever we asked for something or had a small problem, Haruna was able to help and solve it very fast.
This setting as well as the surprisingly beautiful weather during the wet season allowed us to have an all-around amazing stay in Uganda. Highly recommended to travelers around the world!
Once again, thank you. Haruna hakuna matata!

Seamless, high touch and bespoke level of attention.
The level of communication was outstanding. I felt completely looked after. The care and attention to detail was exceptional. The entire experience was seamless, enjoyable and overall a fantastic trip.
I had a perfect safari in Mikumi NP for a great price. Everything was organised very well.
Great. I requested the safari spontaniously only few days in advance and everything worked out perfectly.

Excellent customer service from start to finish - definitely recommend!
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to switch our vacation from Kenya to Tanzania. I sent out multiple quotes to various companies through this website, but Philomena's prompt response and customer service persuaded me to book through African Savannah Trekkers. From arranging the COVID test in Arusha and waiting at the hospital for our results, to Elisante (our driver and guide) who was both professional and personable, to the overall safari experience with the wildlife and spotting the Big Five, it was a wonderful experience!! We even got to see a leopard up close and personal! Philomena was even to organize last minute transfers to the airport for us since one of our flights was changed and we needed to leave at different times to go to Kilimanjaro.
Accommodation review - We stayed in Hhando Coffee Lodge the first and last night - a very quaint lodge just outside of Ngorongoro - and in the Seregenti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp in the Serengeti for nights two and three. The food in the tented camp was delicious and the water pressure in Hhando was exactly what we needed after two nights in the Serengeti. All in all, accommodation was just what was required! Comfortable beds and accommodating staff at both locations! Just note that in both locations, you do not have wifi in the room. There is no wifi at the tented camp (although I did have LTE data on my mobile phone in Serengeti).
With both Elisante and Philomena, African Savannah Trekkers has star staff that go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this company to others considering any type of safari in northern Tanzania!
