Review about Tsavo East National Park by Mark Hancock
Not as much wildilfe as Samburu or the Masai Mara but quieter, with less safari vehicles.

Review about Lake Nakuru National Park by Mark Hancock
Lake Nakuru was much better than I had expected to be. I knew it was justly famous for it's birdlife but hadn't realised there were so many other animals there. I have given only 2 stars for 'Bush vibe' because it did feel a little like we were in a commercial safari park like the ones in the UK.

Kruger is amazing but you're stuck to the roads. For a more entrenched experience, try visiting Sabi Sands.

Review about South Luangwa National Park by Lushine
Very good game viewing, travel destination and amenities. There may be more scenic areas in Southern Africa, but South Luangwa is huge so everything is there - may just take a little more effort on the part of your guide to find everything.

A beautiful, friendly place where simple things are loved and appreciated
We had a wonderful weekend trip from Malawi to South Luangwa. Our camp was set up on the banks of the South Luangwa river, where we could watch the hippos and crocodiles. The hospitality and our guides were excellent, and South Luangwa park is enormous so there was much to see. We were so fortunate to see many lions, including a mother and five adorable and active cubs who just played all around our vehicle! I will never forget waking up in the middle of the night to the sound "chomping" from outside my window, and peering out to see a gigantic hippo eating grass right in front of my window! There were several other hippos walking around the grounds as well, the natural lawn-mowers of South Luangwa! Later, still in the early morning, as they called us for breakfast while it was still dark, we could hear rustling trees and one of the staff trying to chase the elephants off the grounds who were blocking the walking path! All in all an unforgetable experience!
Review about Kakamega Forest National Reserve by puumaya
One of the few remaining primary rainforests left in Central Africa. Listening to the bonabos call in the early morning mist is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had.
Remotely beautiful and quiet.
Ruma National Park is a remote park with some amazing scenic beauty. You do not go to Ruma for Big 5 viewing, but rather to see the rare Jackson's Hartabeest and other beautiful antelope. I would recommend Ruma National Park for anyone who happens to be in the region and is looking for a day or two of beautiful tranquility, but I would not go out of my way to get there.

Review about Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve by Rapster
We saw many more big game animals there, which was particularly exciting for us as we often travel to spectacular / beautiful parts of the world but don't often see big game!

Away from the crowds -
The rock formations in the Camdeboo National Park are awe-inspiring. The well managed trails make it easy to get up close and appreciate this natural spectacle. The nearby town of Graaff-Reinet is a sleepy throwback with some beautiful architecture that makes a pleasant base for exploring. In October, the temperature was perfect, the sights were quiet, and we got some spectacular storms thrown in too.

We managed to see the big 5 over a couple days, we had a wonderful time on safari.
