This tour was one of the absolute highlights of our whole time in Africa. One Horizon is doing an amazing work to empower the otherwise families to climb out of poverty and affecting future generations in perpetuity. Our guide Carol was on-time, professional, and very endearing. Once we got to the village, we had the most amazing time... we laughed and sang, prepared a meal together and ate, they shared their stories and we got a first hand understanding of how One Horizon is dramatically impacting one family at a time. What a truly remarkable organization. This tour is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the time and money!

A Once in a Lifetime Experience with the Maasai Warriors of Kenya!
I met my host at the hotel and it was a fantastic journey all the way through. We had a scenic ride to the Ngong Hills in Kenya, 15KM SW of Nairobi where she gave me a breakdown of the day, the history of the Maasai people and everything in between. After arriving, she gifted me a with a pair of Wellington boots which were a god send, to trek through the muddy terrain before arriving at their camp. I spent a say with the Maasai, I ate, jumped and sang with them, and bought some nice jewellery to take back for my family. This was an altogether unforgettable experience and I couldn't have chosen a better tour company than One Horizon to do it with.

Safari during the outbreak
Safarihub were able to make all relevant date changes at a such short notice due the Corona virus pandemic. Under the circumstances we still managed to have a fantastic Safari although the virus threat was always there. Very nice and honest tour guide. Very knowledgeable. The tour guide Showed us a lot of things along the safari, very easy to communicate with, Trustworthy and we were well taken care of. We felt very safe with the tour guide. Excellent driver, we just liked how cautious he was on the road.

Incredible - Truly a life changing experience!
The tours I booked with One Horizon Africa were truly life changing. What I love most about this organization is that you are on a grassroots level, making a true impact in someone's life. Moreover, you are able to see the direct impact you are making in their lives. One Horizon's focus is bettering the lives of Africans and I think that is quite apparent.
The tours are fantastic. The people you meet are incredible - so welcoming and open. They want to learn as much about you, as you do them. Not to mention, the tour guides - they are equally fantastic. I spent two days with Carol and just loved her. She was punctual, helpful, polite and beyond knowledgeable.
I have been able to experience a lot of things in my life, but I have never experienced something quite like this. One Horizon left a significant impact on me and I am thankful for that. If you have the opportunity to travel to Kenya, you MUST partake in one of One Horizon's Tours; I promise, it will be one of the most profound days of your life.

Kidepo Valley National Park & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Buffalo Safari Camps were excellent: friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. They tailored the trip to fit exactly what I wanted to do, and offered great advice as to how to plan the trip. The guide was superb: knowing all the right people and the right places to go, taking the time to understand what activities would best match what I was interested in seeing. The trip to Kidepo Valley National Park is amazing: an astonishing, remote, beautiful landscape and they made everything work perfectly.

One of the most inspiring experiences in our lives.
The communications from the tour operator were excellent. The trip itself far exceeded our expectations. Meeting and speaking with the women both at the women's center and spending time with Masai women in their homes was one of the best experiences in our lives. We found the women to be open about their difficult lives, and among the most dignified human beings we have ever met. They were working hard to improve their lives and that of their children. They were learning skills that would help them become independent and able to support themselves. They were given emotional and financial support along with training that would change their lives in the difficult environment of where they live. They are truly given a hand up and not just a hand out. This experience was not only inspiring to us but has changed our lives.
