Beacon works with professionals who are extreamely well organized, punctual and highly skilled.
From the start, our communication with Beacon was easy, we received answers to our questions almost immediately. The program was clear and flexible, always tailored to our requirements. Their offer was fair. Our guide was highly qualified with 23 years experience. He answered all our questions thoroughly and did his best to visit and see maximum animals. If you want an unforgettable experience, without a doubt I recommend Beacon.

Great team who give the best experience
Very responsive team, made it as easy as possible to book. Tailored our package to our wants and needs on a daily basis. Great location and very knowledgeable tour guides, they know the landscape extremely well and were happy to take requests from us at anytime. We had the best experience with them, and saw so many amazing animals and views.

Exceptional
The safari tour had exceeded all my expectations, our guide Khalifa was incredible, very kind and knowledgeable. He accommodated for all my small requests without hesitation, and provided a wonderful experience for me and my wife.
Would highly recommend!

Do not book with Edward! He is not honest.
I had a terrible experience with Edward. I had booked the 6 days Masai mara>Nakuru>Amboseli trip.
He was very accommodating when we planned things before the trip and then he went back on his word.
- I was subcontracted twice over to join a group safari. This is fine and what I expected. However, I did NOT expect that I would be sleeping in a different place than my group. So at the end of the game drive, I am dumped at once place and everyone else goes to another place.
- On Day 3, he promised me a game drive when we arrive in Nakuru. (After 5+ hours driving to Nakuru). He then told me it wasnt possible. So there was no game drive.
- Day 4, was supposed to be a morning game drive and then "later" drive to amboseli. Turns out that morning game drive means ~1-2 hours and the drive is cut short so you can drive 7+ hours to Amobseli. He was not clear in the itinerary that this is what it meant, I would not have agreed to spend a second day, all day driving.
We argued a lot and he would not back down. He would barely even apologize to me for lying about Day 3.

Absolutely amazing
We did the three days Selous Game Reserve Safari and it was amazing. Our guide William was the best. Safe driver, interesting conversations, very helpful and answered all of our questions. During the safari he made sure that we see as many animals as possible - great spotter. Besides pumba, giraffes, monkeys, impalas, buffalo, gnus and zebras, we even saw lions with their cubs.
The camp was very nice and relaxing, with even a pool. And lots of crazy & cute monkeys running around. Food was good and the portions were insanely huge. You won’t starve ;).
We had a really nice guide for the boat safari who gave us a lot of information about the many animals and how they live. The walking safari was also a very interesting experience because of Didi, the bush man who was quite the character.
Overall amazing experience. We really really highly recommend it

Phenomenal 4 day safari! Couldn’t recommend more highly
Honestly some of the best 4 days I’ve ever had. We did the shared camping safari. Meijo looked after us from start to finish with top quality service. The communication was excellent throughout and compared to the other your groups we met I would say they were a great value for your money.
They had some of the best guides and cooks (something that changes a lot between companies). The food was fresh and honestly something I’d expect to eat in a nice restaurants. We saw all of the animals we wanted to see and more. Big 5, ugly 5, and more. It was very special to be able to see a rhino and we couldn’t have done it without Frederick (our guide).
The camping was phenomenal. The views were extraordinary and the campsites were clean and well maintained. We were worried we wouldn’t find the camping clean as there are mixed reviews but we loved every part of it.
All in all, It was a flawless experience and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Thoughtful and well planned
We had a fabulous time on our safari. From airport pick up to saying farewell, we were well taken care of and provided for. The company, our guide (James), the chef, and all of the friendly hard working staff truly thought of every detail to make our safari experience flawless and memorable. James is a fun guy, full of animal knowledge & provided much entertainment with some awesome stories of his adventures. He made sure we saw all of the major animals. Our chef cooked the most delicious food, there was always plenty to eat and a variety of foods for all types of eaters. The camping experience was easy and comfortable thanks to the crew who would build up and tear down our campsite each day.

Awesome awesome awesome
African Big Cats Safaris is awesome. Great office staff to help you customize the perfect safari. Comfortable safari vehicles designed for easy wildlife viewing equipped with USB charging ports, fridge and water/beverages. Venance Malisa was our driver/guide. Awesome awesome awesome! There are several safari companies with the name “Big Cats.” Make sure to book with Africa Big Cats Safaris. The only awkward part was America and Africa are in opposite time zones. Day and night is flip flopped which is a built in communication delay while planning. That being said, Justice and Naomi were quick to reply during office hours. If this is your first safari ask lots of questions, weather, migration, and each park, reserve and conservation area has its own unique list of animals.
This was my 6th time to Africa, my 4th East Africa safari. And my second time with Venance Malisa driver/guide. This was perhaps my best safari ever. We saw the best and largest migration herd early one morning I’d ever seen, like the documentaries on TV. Spectacular!! We saw everything we wanted to see and more. After four East African safaris we still have a perfect record for seeing leopards every time. We saw at least 10 individual cheetahs most individuals multiple times.
Venance, as always, listens and then gives suggestions. Which is extremely helpful. He was also very flexible to our wishes. But best of all his knowledge, keen eye and savvy seemed to put us in the right spot to see Mother Nature at its best. After six trips to Africa I pride myself on having a fairly good eye for spotting wildlife but Venance is amazing.
Over the years I’ve stayed at most of the parks, reserves and conservation areas in the Tanzania norther loop. They all have great qualities. The Africa Big Cat Safaris team is great at helping to determine which location would be best for you.

A great trip to Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro
Big Five organized for us a safari taking us to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti (2 days) and Ngorongoro crater. This was linked to a successful Mount Kilimanjaro climb the previous week, organized by them as well. It was an amazing trip during which we got to see myriad of animals in all kind of situations, including the Big Five - most of them from a very close distance. We went also to the south of Serengeti where the Great Migration is during the dry season to see the endless plain filled with wildebeests. Each day was a really unique experience.
A big thanks goes to our guide Idrisa, who was very knowledgeable, with a great instinct where to take us for the best views and experience.
