Excellent satisfactory service
Our Safari Excursion at Masai Mara was an experience of a life time. It certainly fulfilled a huge item on our bucket list. Image Travel made the experience extraordinarily special. Firstly, they booked us into Serena Lodge which is the only lodge in the Mara Triangle where the viewing of Mara animals was most concentrated and abundant. Secondly, we were able see everything one could expect in Mara.
What made this Safari different was the expertise of Tony, our super-guide extraordinaire. His persistent and uncanny “wilderness-sense” helped us to spot the mother and baby Rhinos hidden amongst hundreds of Buffalos at a distance of over 200 meter. A most incredulous feat. In addition, Tony is not only an expert guide he is also extremely knowledgeable: all the way from identifying the specific name of each animal as well his ability to teach us about their habitat and life-cycle in great details. In total we witnessed and captured on film 26 different kinds of animals, and 16 different kinds of birds. (See a detailed list at the end of this review).
The hot air balloon flight arranged by Image Travel was nothing short of super-amazing. Sailing over the savannah gazing at hundreds of giraffes, elephants, elands, hippos, etc from the air was utterly awe-inspiring.
Finally, between Tony and David, they made everything comfortable and facilitated everything. They anticipated our needs and made sure we are well cared during the 5-day safari. ANIMALS: Cheetah with 4 cubs; 3 Lionesses and 4 sub-adult cubs in a pride, two sets of mating lion couples, and three other prides; Elephants, many packs, many times, also many “lonely” males; Zebras, thousands; White bearded western wildebeest, hundreds of thousands; Hyenas, several times; Eastern black rhino (mother and cubs), an amazing find among hundreds of buffaloes; Hippos (hundreds of them); Nile Crocodiles, hundreds; Leopards, a mating couple on a tree, and one that caught a wildebeest-witnessed within 10 feet; Thompson’s gazelle, numerous time, one time chased by the cheetah; Grant’s gazelle, dozens of them; Greater Antelopes, dozens of them; Topis, dozens of them; Cokes Hartebeest, dozens of times; Elands, dozens; Waterbuck, dozens; Buffaloes, hundreds; Warthogs, about 10; Silver back Jackals, several times; Black back jackals, several times; Masai Giraffe, dozens; Serval Cats, two times; Monitor Lizard; Mongoose and Baboons, dozens. A total of 26 different kinds of animals. BIRDS: Augur Buzzard, Leppet-face vultures, Secretary bird, Marabou Stork, Black headed heron, Verreaus owl, Lilac breasted roller, Ox packers, Cattle egret, Blacksmith plovers, Ostrich, Laped trace vulture, Ruppel’s Griffon Vultures, White buck vultures, Long crested eagle, and Southern ground hornbill. A total of16 kinds of birds.

My family and I did a custom made trip to the parks in the North of Tanzania (Arusha NP, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara) with LongWay Expeditions. It was once in a live experience! Everything was really well organized by Ann and the drivers, Abu and Nathan, were fantastic. They are all so knowledgeable and helpful. We saw an incredible amount of animals in very different environments. This is a trip I would recommend to everyone who love safaris.
I am looking forward to visit Tanzania again with the LongWay expedition team.

Professional and eagerly finding all the animals you want to see!
This tour option is really great! For a great price you will get everything you want for a safari! They pick you up and leave you where you need to. The trip to the camp was great and the safari was amazing! A big thanks to our guide and driver Castro that was able to find all the animals in the park and doing it with happiness and eagerly!

Amazing experience thanks to Edward
Edward was the perfect guide, and we had an amazing experience. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about nature and Tanzanian culture - we learned a ton from him. He was able to give us many unique wildlife sightings and could answer all our questions. Additionally, he was a terrific driver.
He always provided world-class service, being timely, kind, and helpful. He always checked in with us to give us the best time possible. Importantly, he was a great person and became our friend. Because of this experience, I will surely be returning back soon, and will recommend Edward and this company to many friends. 5 stars!

Excellent safari experience
We had a wonderful 5 days of safari with our amazing guide Vincent. He's been very flexible and well prepared with wide knowlesge of all national parks and animals. We would recommend this company to everyone and would choose Surikata Safari again. Reliable 4x4 Landcruiser and excellent guide. Also had luxorious feeling in all our lodges on the way.

Impeccable organization for an unforgettable and unique experience
We were taken care of by Noël from the moment we took the information through the reservation until the departure of the SAFARI and even after. An engaging personality, hardworking and dedicated to his customers. He made the organization simple, reassuring and full of desires. The SAFARI we booked was completely in line with our expectations and defied all competition in terms of price.
During the SAFARI, our driver was irreproachable, adapted to our desires and allowed us to see all the big animals of Africa thanks to his acute sense of observation and his unique sense of humor. These 4 days were perfect, there is nothing to say. 10/10 from beginning to end. I can't wait to go back to the adventure with this team.

The best of Tanzania Safari
Save yourself from searching for a better company and book with Suricatas, they are number one for a reason. Firstly they are easy to communicate with on whatsup, so ask as many question as you like. If you have any doubts always ask until confident. We book for a 5 days budget safari. Though it was a budget safari it was easy and comfortable from pick up until departure, that is a day before and after the tour . The tour itself was stress free and chill as our guide Mandela put it that way. He loves his job and is very knowledgeable. He let us enjoy whatever nature show us along the way, no rush or worries about not seeing this and that. The road was rough but not surprisingly annoying. Strangly we even fell asleep on those bumpy rides. We slept in tents at night but did have toilets and showers every night even in the middle of nowhere. Also Ben, our chef was the best. He cooked all sort of very tasty food in the wilderness, pizza, lasagna, veggies and all sort of meat etc. We don’t know how he does it but we enjoyed all them and we were always full as it’s a lot and lot of food. Any request can be accomodated so feel free to ask.
We hope to come back again in the future.

Absolutely amazing itinerary put together by Matthys and the team. Everything was seamless…
This was a holiday of 3 attempts. Matthys clearly extremely knowledgable, and from experience, about the areas/lodges we visited. The transfers, flights and accommodations were all top notch and nothing went by the wayside. The trip moved seamlessly from SA, through Kruger, Zimbabwe, 3 Botswana lodges and back to Jo’burg. Value for money? Definitely really good quality accommodations and the safari guides were brilliant. We were never crowded into any vehicle we always had plenty of space. The food was amazing and the staff at all establishments were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they went far and above than they needed too. We loved it so much we are planning to come back in 2024 and do the garden route and some different safari experiences. Missed the Rhino but saw all the other top 4 plus 5 puppy wild dogs/5 adults and 3 leopards. Loads of lions and huge amounts of elephant, bison, water buffalo and numerous other animals. As Annie once said “I’ll be back!”
