Review for Sababu
My wife and I chose Sababu as the operator for our honeymoon vacation, which consisted of a (successful) trek up Kilimanjaro, a seven day safari, and a handful of days across Zanzibar.
We are immensely glad to have chosen Sababu, and are grateful for making our honeymoon so unforgettable.
Denise helped us plan the itinerary, and was thoroughly responsive, helpful and honest throughout the process.
In planning our trip, we recognized that Sababu's prices were a little higher than other 'competitively priced' companies, for a similar itinerary.
However, as we embarked on our trip it became obvious that every penny was a penny well spent, as it went towards extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced (and super friendly guides.. a special thanks to Nico, George and Titus)! This is especially important to maximize the safety and enjoyment of the kilimanjaro and safari portions - you need an experienced guide, under comfortable working conditions, to get the most out of these experiences. Who knew that spotting the Big Five (and much more) could seem so easy!
More importantly, we formed a friendship with all of the guides on their respective legs of the trip, and were so relieved to hear they sincerely enjoyed their work and respected Sababu as their contractor, and its working conditions. Unfortunately, when other companies compete for the lowest price, there can be the potential that guide salaries & working conditions suffer... and so will the client's experience.
Lastly, we appreciated Sababu / Denise's thoughtfulness in engaging Tanzanian owned businesses and initiatives (in terms of hotels, tent lodges, cultural excursions) wherever possible.
We've come out of our honeymoon trip not only with an unforgettable experience that was even more rich and eventful than we could have imagined, but we also leave with the sense that our money went to sustaining the tanzanian tourist industry, and the wonderful people within it, rather than lining the pockets of international or foreign-owned companies.
We will be recommending Sababu - and traveling to Tanzania more generally - to all of our family and friends.

reliable and accomodating
We have been on a three day (2 nights) safari with Morningstar Tours to Tsavo West and Amboseli. When looking for possible options for a particular route they had the best price for value, even with the additional fees for staying within the sanctuary at SaltLick. Our guide was Kennedy for the three days and though we had to cover quite long drives, he made sure that we are comfortable all through. The communication form the inquiry all through the trip and even after finishing the tour was with fast responses through the office and big thanks to Dennis for that as well. Kennedy has packed in as much into those three days as possible, also given that bí the end of day two we have been a little overfilled with the zebras and the dust but he listened to us and our asks and accommodated every wish we might have had on the way. Overall it was a great experience and would gladly use Morningstar tours in the future as well if the possibility arises.

The whole crew was extremely helpful with planning and rearranging our itinerary for us to have the best experience. I highly recommend them to anyone planning on doing a safari in africa.

amazing safari
Hi all,
i come from france and i didn't know kingsalomon was by searching the web that i came across his page, immediately the content and the comments made our choice easier. Then we got in touch with salomon and the current went well, he gave us a reasonable price for a family of 5. Then when we were in tanzania we had problems with theft, salomon and picked us up despite being 5 hours late to drop us off at our hotel. Regarding the safari, it was magnificent, we were amazed, because in addition to the visit of the park we had a guide who spoke French, which was easier for the explanations. In addition, Solomon put us in lodges without adding anything because at Basically we had to sleep in tents, thank you Solomon.
To conclude, I recommend Kingsalomon for his professionalism, his generosity, his welcome and his humanism.

Excellent service and people to help explore East Africa
Highly recommend Safari 2 Gorillas and my guide Martin. As a last minute trip to Rwanda/Uganda, I reached out to Aron to plan things on very short notice. The communication with Aron was great and he helped sort everything out with ease. My guide/driver Martin was the best. He was very knowledgable about everything and was able to answer any questions about Uganda/Rwanda that I had. Not to mention being an expert driver both on highway and offroad/safaris! After having a great time on the original 7 day trip, I decided to extend another 4 days which Aron and Martin planned within hours. Can't recommend Martin and Safari 2 Gorillas more! Will definitely use them again when I return someday. Thank you!

Excellent and considerate
We planned our trip with Mama Savana: 6 nights/ 7 days- that started in Nairobi, crossed the border into Tanzania, into the Sergenti, and back to Nairobi, stopping at many national parks on the way.
Communication- Alex was prompt in responding, considerate of what we wanted out of our trip and our budget. We used WhatsApp for quick responses and Alex was always available for our questions before we picked them, during the planning, and during the trip.
Service/ tour quality- our tour guide’s name was Goodluck who was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and happy to discuss everything from history to politics to local culture and traditions. Goodluck knew where to find the animals and when, and was able to navigate the terrain carefully. What stood out to us is his care for the animals- for example, he worked with the park rangers in one part to ask drivers to ask them to not get too close while the rangers drove a a rhino towards water.
Other- the Land Cruiser was in good condition. Lodges that were selected were good to excellent in quality (reviewed separately).
Best safari operator I’ve been with
I’ve been on a few safaris in and out of Africa and Peter was the best guide I have ever had.
Peter genuinely cared and had an interest in the animals, the environment and other cultures. He was great to chat to and always made us feel comfortable. Peter was very professional and passionate as well.
We travelled with Peter on our honeymoon and he made us both feel very safe and at ease.
The Safari itself was really good, seeing everything that we wanted and more. Peter pulled out all of the stops in order to make sure we had an incredible wildlife experience. All of the rangers, hoteliers and staff knew Peter and received him well.
The vehicle was comfortable and clean. It was perfect for the safaris we went on. The air con was able to be put on for the entire journey as well which made for a comfortable travel. Water was always on hand as well.
The accommodation selected was very good with great food, service and comfortable beds.
Throughout the booking process and pre trip time, Peter was more than happy to answer questions and help with anything with a speedy response.
I really wouldn’t look anywhere else other than Buyaga Safaris. I don’t think I ever saw Peter without a genuine smile. He clearly loves what he does.

Mind blowing incredible!
I loved, loved, loved this safari! Absolutely incredible, surpassing all expectations.
From finding ourselves in the middle of a group of over 30 Elephants, lions prowling around our jeep, watching cheetahs feasting on some poor gazelle, to being surrounded by 1000s of zebra and wildebeests - and the list goes on; a stream of baboons crossing the road in front of our car, giraffes everywhere, ostriches, warthogs, 2 python, several rhinos, hippos, Impala, water buffalo, etc.
Our guide was amazing, Ernest was personable, friendly, always on the lookout to get us amazing views of the animals, and knowledgeable about everything we saw.
The food and lodgings were great and the views spectacular (the lookout at Ngorongoro Crater was especially stunning).
African Big Cats went out of their way from the moment I contacted them, right up to dropping us off at the airport on our departure; they were helpful, communicative, patient, and eager for feedback on suggestions for how to improve. They really cared about providing us the best value for our vacation.
The whole trip was an amazing experience that will likely never be topped! Huge thanks to African Big Cats!!

Safari trip with wonderful animals, excellent tour guide, luxurious accommodations + delicious food
I recently took a 9 day safari trip with Lion King Adventures in Tanzania and it was a trip of a lifetime! Our tour guide Richard was fantastic, he was knowledgeable, professional and a great spotter of animals. He had a special love for birds and taught us so much about them. On this trip, we visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire park and saw so many amazing animals including lions, elephants, rhinos, and cheetahs.
One of the most memorable moments of the trip was when we stumbled upon two leopards sneaking in the brushes on the ground together in Ndutu, it was a very rare sight and we felt so lucky and excited to have seen it. The living accommodations were top notch, our favorite lodge was Kubu Kubu safari lodge where we got to see giraffes eating leaves right outside our balcony in the early morning when we woke up. The food was delicious every day and we were well taken care of.
The hike around the rim of Ngorongoro crater during sunset was beautiful, the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour company and Richard. Richard truly made our trip unforgettable. Thank you Lion King Adventures for creating such a wonderful experience. 5 stars all around!
