I am Japanese. The whole experience was new and exposed me to a completely different culture and life.
The tour guide and cook were kind and generous with all sorts of help during the tour.
I was lucky enough to see all the BIG 5 in one tour and also observed a variety of other wildlife.
The Maasai village visit was very interesting for me and the time was just right.
Next time I would like to stay in a higher grade accommodation and visit with my family.

Absolutely brilliant!!
We had a fantastic 2 game drives with our guide, Trevor. The Jan/Feb floods meant that we had to stick to the main roads, but we had some incredible sightings - elephants, giraffes, lions, hyenas, wild dogs, pumbas, lots of buck & a beautiful leopard up close & personal! Our man Trevor!!

Efficient and punctual
The tour was very good. Our guide Julius made sure to show us as much as possible of both the park and the animals, and answered every question we had. He even introduced us to a gallery when my friend said he wanted to look around for a painting on our stay here. We are very satisfied.

Highly recommended tour operator to climb Mt Kenya
We climbed Mt Kenya with Karibu Safari. We ended up with a group of 3 which was very personal. Sam, the guide, was excellent and knew exactely what we needed (also in terms of pace during the climb) and the rest of the crew (Kelvin, Duncan, Francis, David, and of course Maron the cook) made sure we were always comfortable and taken care of. It’s probably one of the better operators and at great value for money.

Hugely knowledgeable, excellent communication
Rose was superb in helping us choose the right location, type of safari and which lodge.
We gave Rose a very broad brief (Safari in Africa), and over the course of several discussions, we found a safari that suited our preferences, timing and budget, which was healthy but not unlimited or extravagant.
From that point onwards, the organisation and communication was excellent, and we traveled in the reassuring knowledge that Rose would be available should the need arise, which it didn’t.
Overall, we travelled as a family of four (2 x adults + 2 x children aged 12 and 14) to Machaba Camp in Botswana for four nights. It was heaven. Lions, Leopards, Hyenas plus as many Elephants, Zebras, Hippos and Giraffes as you could count.
The Camp was extremely comfortable, but it was also very real. We felt very connected to the animals, and the African bush. My family were worried about sleeping in tents, but their concerns were unfounded. It was a joy to sleep safely in luxury tents listening to our surroundings. We felt safe at all times.
Many fellow travelers were splitting their safari across several different camps, eg 2 nights at one camp and then 2/3 nights at others. We choose not to because we preferred to be relaxed and minimize travel. It’s purely personal preference.
Overall, the trip could not have been better. Thank you, Rose and The Luxury Safari company.
