We had an amazing safari. We had some questions to clear mid Safari and they were extremely responsive and ensured for a very pleasant few days. They chose a good tour guide for us to work with and organised everything excellently at very short notice. Highly recommend!

We have booked several trips with Alex over the years and each one has been different, we say where we want to go and he gives us his suggestions, we put them together and a perfect itinerary is made.
Our last trip to South Africa ended at Highgrove House Country Hotel near White River and was the perfect place to spend the last few days, set in beautiful scenery, with spacious comfortable rooms, top quality food and hospitality, totally relaxing.
We have booked trips to South Africa, Botswana and Namibia with African Welcome and our best holiday memories are thanks to them!

I was in a group of 3 and went on a great tour with Standard Safaris to Queen Elizabeth National Park for safari, Bwindi National Park for gorilla trekking, and Bunyoni Lake. I was surprised by how many events they had prepared for our short 3-day trip. On our first day from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth, we went on a boat safari tour (which was wonderful seeing the safari animals nearby the lakes) and they even squeezed in an unplanned safari tour (where we saw some lions and other animals). Gorilla trekking was one of the highlights of our trip and our tour guide did a great job preparing us for our trek. Lastly, Lake Bunyoni was unexpectedly very beautiful and a part of Uganda that I did not know I had to visit but am so glad we did. Our tour guide during the bird tour at Lake Bunyoni was fantastic. We had booked a budget safari tour and Standard Safaris had the most competitive price. For many aspects of our trip, our tour guide and Coleb (owner of Standard Safaris, who joined us for the trip) went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. All the lodging was clean and the food provided was good.

Won’t finish the tour until the client is satisfied!
My girlfriend and I did a half day safari in the Nairobi National park and our driver/guide was the very friendly Danson Njuguna. We saw many animals and Danson was very knowledgeable and always able to answer our questions! He was also very patient and determined to make us happy, we had not seen a white rhino (which we really wanted to see) and Danson didn’t finish the tour until we found some. Before taking us back to the hotel, we asked him to show us a good restaurant where locals eat and we had delicious authentic Kenyan food! Best guide we could ask for and great tour.

Wandering Thru just as wonderful on our second trip
This was our second safari trip with Wandering Thru in just under 9 months. For us, our sunshine comes from being in the bush, and this time it was another privately guided trip with Tristan at Jaci’s Sabi House. From this peaceful oasis set above a waterhole, we made our way out each day filled with anticipation for what might be around the corner. The drives were filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of the wild, time spent with the big and the small, spiriting us away from life’s preoccupations. These moments were enhanced with well timed nuggets of information, and laughter and fun were never far away as stories were told and shared, both on the drives and in the time in between as we relaxed back at Jaci’s. There were elephants aplenty, lions, and as always, it is so richly rewarding to put in the effort to track leopards, and then to be rewarded with a special sighting of Langa, the leopardess, and her new beau all to ourselves. Once again, this trip brought a little sunshine into our lives, and we can’t wait to do it all again in the future!
