Traveling in the bush, a solid vehicle & professional driver is what we needed and what we got!
5/5

A small group of us booked a vehicle and driver through Airports and Beyond Tours for 11 days. We traveled to Meru and then Samburu District - Serolipi to Ndonyo Wasin, Archer's Post to Wamba to Maralal. Our driver, Simon, was the best! Due to almost constant rain in some areas, the roads were muddy and slick but Simon navigated professionally through all. The drive from Wamba to Maralal was particular rough with not only muddy roads but also narrow passages, rocks, constant animals wandering and even a boulder taking up most of the road! Never complaining, Simon handled it all and got us to each destination safely.

I have complete trust in Airports and Beyond Tours and will book through them every time I am in Kenya.

Best Safari ever
5/5

Duma Explorer is an exceptional company. Stacy Readal worked with us to plan an 8 day safari and took care of every detail from pick up at Kilimanjaro airport, a two night stay at the beautiful Rivertrees Inn to an 8 day safari.

We stayed at 3 tent camps owned by Duma and one owned by another company. There was no comparison. While the other camp was nice, the Duma camps were exceptional. The staff was professional, welcoming and attentive. When we asked for adjustments to the packed lunches the camp chefs came to talk to us to understand what we wanted and produced wonderful options. The ability of the staff to provide tasty, varied meals in the bush is truly incredible. The tents themselves are solid and once inside you can’t believe you are in a tent. Comfortable beds, sitting tables and chairs with a fully equipped bathroom. Furniture is locally made, beautiful and comfortable. Each camp has a different theme and artwork to reflect. Camp fires are made in the evening and the settings are beautiful. The managers of the camps are friendly and helpful. Chaka sent us off with a song and dance. The manager at Kiota arranged to have the toiletries bag with my malaria pills that I left in our tent flown to Arusha in time for me to get it before boarding our flight to Zanzibar.

And then there was our incredible guide and driver Chaduu. I can’t say enough about this wonderful man. He was kind, considerate and very knowledgeable. He patiently answered our many questions even when we asked two days later because we couldn’t remember all that he had told us. He knew where to find animals, spotted them from far away and got us very close often just feet away. He explained the animals behaviour, knew the names of the many bird species and talked about how various plants are used. Chaduu was also an excellent driver navigating wet, muddy, slippery roads sometimes resembling small rivers. We saw numerous other vehicles get stuck in the mud and twice stopped to help pull jeeps out. Chaduu always stopped if another Jeep needed help.

Don’t miss Tarangire or Nudtu if the are doing a safari. In Tarangire we saw 100’s of elephants and many other animals. In Nudtu you are able to drive off road and get close to the animals. We also did an interesting tour in Mto Wa Mbu where we learned about crops, bananas, how different tribes build their homes and much more.

Duma provided a trip that we will always remember. Thanks to all of the great Duma staff.

Amazing experience!
5/5

Since many years ago, a safari in Africa was a dream for me. My wife and I finally made it happen last December. We went for a 3 day safari in the Serengeti and the Ngorogoro crater. I did a lot of research and decided to book it with Safari Soles, which was a great decision.
During previous days, Bryson answered to our questions by WhatsApp so it made planning easier for us.
Once arriving there, they picked us up in Kilimanjaro Airport, to start a drive to Arusha were we met with the rest of the group. Their hospitality was great, our guide/driver Jacob is a very nice guy, always willing to give us a pleasant experience. The tour also included the services from a cook for the meals, which were fine.
We had luck to see many (MANY) animals such as: lions, leopards, elephants, hipos, rhinos, jiraffes, zebras, bufalos, hienas, etc.
I consider December is a very good time to visit Tanzania, since the temperatures are not too hot, and the landscape is very green.
The camping experience was also great for both nights.
At the end, they took us back to Kilimanjaro to our hotel to complete an unforgetable experience.

Very helpful and thoughtful, made our safari much smoother and more enjoyable.

Sandra was extremely helpful during the safari planning process and looked out for us during the trip as well. She found us amazing accommodations at Hamilton’s Tented Camp for our honeymoon (highly recommended for couples, with excellent food and drinks and service), and also helped us when we wanted to plan our own drive through the panoramic route. We also liked that Traipsing Safari is on Whatsapp, which makes it more convenient and Sandra responds very timely, even to our last minute questions during our trip. I recommended Traipsing Safari to my friends and will recommend it to others as well.

Safe and creative pair of hands for Ugandan Safaris
5/5

Simba is very good in organising safaris in Uganda. A friend and I did a trek around Mt. Elgon after which we wanted to explore the countryside. Simba organised not only a safari around Murchison Falls and the game parks there, but also planned a very good itinerary en route to the safari from the trek at Mt. Elgon. Tony, our guide was an excellent and careful organiser and gave us an excellent experience. Sharl, the coordinator of the programme from her desk in Kampala was an efficient control room, taking care of every detail until the very end, even seeing us off to the airport.
