A memorable journey of my life and thank you Wyclef!
5/5

We can't believe we are back to Sydney, Australia.

I still think of gorillas, chimps, Lions, Murchison, Sipi Falls and Rafting white Nile.

We have planned our trip 8 months and spent three weeks in this amazing country Uganda, organized by our guide Wyclef. The whole journey was incredible and will be a memory for a lifetime.

I cannot find enough words to thank Wyclef, for his incredible knowledge and patience; he never complained and always took on all our requirements for the best outcome. He was always willing to help and was very positive towards any unexpected request.

He is also an excellent and safe driver and we went through many difficult roads without trouble. He was everything in our journey and made things happen for anything; like exchanging money, or buying food we wanted on the journey.

The most memorable highlights on this trip were (i) the gorilla tracking where we spent over 6 hours with a family of 22 gorillas in the forest which was an absolutely amazing experience, (ii) a visit with an overnight stay in a chimpanzee sanctuary (Ngamba Island) which was a very emotional experience. They have 98% DNA the same as humans. We fed them on the Island bank after we called them, they came out to greet us on the water edge; a very memorable experience.

If anyone wants to come and visit Uganda, Wyclef is the person to talk to. and his company and his staff will provide remarkable service to make your journey a delightful memory. He is highly recommended.

I have documented our journey in videos. You can see them from Gorilla and Beyond on Instagram and Facebook.

We had a very good time in our safari. We went in Ambosoli and viewed lots of animals and the lodge (Elewana Tortillis) was a very good place to be. In Masai Mara we stayed in Emboo River Camp who's the best place we had in this safari. They have a very good sustainable concept with their own energy production, rational use of water for their garden and recovery of kitchen waste to produce biogas. In the Masai Mara we also had the chance to see wild animals up close, including a cheetah that hunted a tompson gazelle. During our five-day safari, we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, hippos, lions, crocodiles, a cheetah and many other wild animals and birds. We highly recommend Betty and Amos for organising a safari. It's the first time we've had such a warm welcome. Their driver Ruben and their French guide Ezechiel also accompanied us very warmly during our stay. Thank you for the perfect organisation!

About: Uganda
Beautiful country with diverse scenery and wildlife

We absolutely loved our trip in Uganda. We spent 14 days on a round trip and experienced many different landscapes and saw many interesting animals. The beautiful mountains with rainforest and tea plantations was a lovely contrast to the savannah and forest national parks. A highlight of course was seeing the mountain gorillas & chimpanzees. The people of Uganda were always friendly & welcoming and showed amazing hospitality. We always felt very safe. We traveled with Home to Africa and had the best experience. 10/10 would recommend.

We were told Botswana was amazing but expensive. While it was pricier than other destinations, we found reasonably priced "budget safari" options and were handsomely rewarded with close wildlife encounters, informative local guides, and the deep peace of both the Okavango Delta and various open spaces of enormous national parks. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience in the nationals parks, we saw a lot of wildlife and learn through our guide jimmi from lenchada tours a lot about kenyan culture and biodiversity. The tours are all very similar in all agencies and the tours and places where we stay as accommodation had all requirements and good food in all of them and some have even pool to enjoy. I didn't feel unsafe in nairobi however always be cautious as every big city and when you go to shop people will always try to sell you something so be mindfull as they initially offer an elevate price but this can be negotiable in all places. I went in july so the weather was great as was chill in the morning and not very hot in afternoon. In general was a great experience recomended for solo travellers or in family. You will definitely enjoy just always keep your guide about your itinerary as when you take share tours people may have different ones.

Roads are a bit tricky but worth it because the rainforest is absolutely stunning and visiting the mountain gorillas a once in a lifetime experience.
