Silverbird is the Best!
5/5

We had such an amazing time touring Rwanda with Silverbird! Peter, Faith, and the whole team were so knowledgeable, communicative, and kind, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We saw Akagera National Park, Volcanoes National Park/gorilla trekking, and a Kigali city tour with Silverbird, and I absolutely recommend all of them! Thank you so much to the whole team at Silverbird for your incredible tours and kindness!!

Great teamwork between sales group and safari guides
5/5

We were a group of 9 doing the 7-day Mara River Migration Safari in July'23. Our ages range from 23 to 59 and we all loved the safari.
Amina and Hellen helped us organize the trip. It was a two-year process with many emails exchanged and they were always professional and pleasant in their responses. Importantly, everything they committed to happened as they said it would. From picking us up at the airport at 1:50 am to allowing us to leave large bags in their office and getting them to the airport so we would find them there the day of our departure. They gave us a lovely welcome at their office the first day we were there.
Our guides, Abi and Louis, were wonderful: knowledgeable, fun, flexible, great drivers, and they made every effort to get us to see the animals we wanted to see. We appreciated their openness to speak about their culture, their country and themselves. Their English is extremely good. We were very lucky to have them as our guides.
The lodges we stayed at were a big part of the experience. We picked the comfort level for the lodges, they had tents with hot water, flushable toilets, wash basins, mosquito nets, but also the sound of lions at night and waking up to beautiful views of the Serengeti, lion paw prints on the floor and amazing views of a buffalo herd. The men that work at the lodges are very welcoming. They do dances and sing; some are Massai, and they are very willing to share their culture and the way they live. The food was good, tasty and plentiful.
We went to the Ngorongoro, and North and Central Serengeti. The experience in the 3 areas was different. Ngorongoro had many animals in a smaller area. It was very cold at night. The expanse of the Serengeti was breathtaking, we saw many individual animals in Central Serengeti and larger groups in the north, mainly of hippos, giraffes, lions and elephants. We did the balloon ride in the North over the Mara River, it is more expensive than most balloon rides, but absolutely worth it. Incredible views.
The one minor issue we had was bugs inside the tents at one of the camps, but nothing to spoil the experience.

Bush 2 City provides excellent service and easy to talk with to give you the perfect experience.
5/5

Our experiences with Bush to City came from a recommendation. Jackson was so easy to work with, communicate, and explain what we wanted. He was easily able to give us the right experience. Also, when we asked for a few special things to celebrate an anniversary and birthday he really did a great job making sure it was a unique experience.

We also went to South Africa. Jackson explained he does not do this and provided the perfect recommendation for someone to help us.

All communication was on WhatsApp and email which was much easier than one might think. And it saved a ton of time.

Also, ask for Jacob to be your guide! He was amazing and he's now like family.

About: Tanzania
Tanzania is an extraordinary place for wild life
Overall rating
4/5

Tanzania is a land of wildlife discovery.
Our experience in the parks was very enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see many animals.

We weren't able to interact much with the locals, as we did most of the safari by car.

In June, the weather is very pleasant.

Outstanding Experience
5/5

As an experienced solo traveler when I researched an African safari I realized the complexity of logistics and decided to do it right to have the experience I wanted I needed an expert. I found that expert in Wild Wings Safaris. Communication with WWS was excellent from my first inquire email. Tanja at WWS listened to my interests and made recommendations and rapidly put together a perfect 8 day itinerary combining two Kruger National Park locations, South, then Central and Klaserie Baobab Ridge a private reserve. The organization of the Itinerary was excellent, clear to understand day by day movement and illustrated with maps. Additional important good to know information was also provided along with an App. to down load the itinerary, information and contact points to my iPhone that was then available offline. Tanja was great at answering the few questions I had in a timely friendly manner. Note that my research told me the best time of year for sitings is June to October.

An additional note on WWS organization, while en route to Johannesburg my connecting flight was cancelled. I immediately emailed WWS to let them know what happened and I may arrive late. Tanja immediately responded with an alternative plan in the event of a late arrival to get back on itinerary track. You can’t ask for more. Fortunately I was able to reschedule a flight and arrived on time.

I met my guide Nicky in Johannesburg who then drove me to Kruger. The first afternoon in Kruger I saw the Big 5 plus a cheetah. Saw lions and many of the big 5 as well as other wildlife everyday. Nicky was an invaluable part of the experience. She had a keen eye for spotting, knew the park extremely well to find sitings and was relentless in finding everything that lives, roams and flys in Kruger.
She was knowledgeable, informative about the safari expectations, safety, the animals and their habits. She gave me some photo tips that improved my shots. Nicky is an experienced guide, good driver, good humored and a well organised fantastic cook preparing gourmet dinners. All itinerary meals were prepared by Nicky . Alll accommodations in Kruger were appropriate and comfortable. Baobab Ridge Private Reserve provided the off road tracking experience an ability to get closer to some animals. The lodge was beautiful, with detached luxury suites and chefs preparing wonderful meals. My guide Divine was experienced and we got good sitings. As a solo traveler I was paired up with two different small groups four of the eight days. We all got along, rotated jeep seats and shared delicious meals together.

My overall experience was exceptional. The entire Safari was seamless. I highly recommend Wild Wing Safaris. I am already planning on booking another tour with them. Explore their well designed website as they have a variety of offerings in many African countries. Safe travels.

Don't hesitate, book with Tales of Tanzania today!!
5/5

I could fill up pages with my praise for Tales of Tanzania Safaris, but I will try to keep this concise! My husband, 11-year-old son, and I booked the 10-day Northern Safari circuit with a couple of extra days in Arusha on both ends. I researched extensively and reached out to multiple safari companies asking for quotes. We decided on Tales of Tanzania because they provided the best price, a private safari, and excellent communication and they are a Tanzanian based business. I questioned my decision many times in the months leading up to the trip, but I am now confident that it was the BEST decision I made!

Leading up to our vacation, I emailed extensively with the owner, Pendo, asking many questions. Pendo was kind, reassuring, and prompt to respond. She tailored the vacation to our desires, creating the perfect itinerary for us and answered every question I asked. She is passionate about her job and committed to making each client’s vacation a wonderful experience.

When we arrived in Tanzania, we were greeted by Peter, who was with us for the entire trip. He was our guide, our driver, and became our friend. His knowledge of the country, easy going nature, patience, and kindness were extraordinary. He went out of his way to make our experience perfect. After mentioning our love for coffee, Peter made sure we had hot, freshly brewed coffee with every meal, even while out in the parks. When our son forgot his beloved stuffed toy, Peter drove 4 hours back across the Serengeti to pick it up for him! I will be forever grateful to him for making our vacation the incredible experience that it was. The other reviews mention different guides that people have loved, so I have decided that Pendo must hire all the best guides! (I will always be convinced that Peter is at the top of the list, though!)

As for the vacation itself, it was incredible in every way! The animals were amazing, of course, and the cultural experiences were beyond my expectations. The country is beautiful, and the people really are as kind and welcoming as others say they are. I felt safe and comfortable the entire vacation, and the service was unmatched. (The only time we carried our own bags to our room was when we arrived back in the USA!). Stop searching and book with Tales of Tanzania now. (Tell them Kristy from Texas says hi!) You won’t regret it!
