A memorable experience
It has been an amazing experience with a serious company willing to help me with everything I needed to organize my tailor-made safari.
Bakari and his team are very professional and the entire reservation was very easy. The driver-guide Shaffy was fantastic and did his best to see as many animals as possible. The experience of the guide is really important to enjoy the best safari. Everything perfect. I recommend Kigelia Tours 100%!

What an amazing trip with an epic tour guide!
Such a good trip! So worthwhile! Vehicles were great and we saw so many animals….Lions, Elephants, Wildebeest, Jackals, Hippo’s, Giraffe’s, Crocodiles, Flamingo’s, Ostriches….and because of the local knowledge of our tour guide we also managed to see Cheetah’s, Leopards and Rhino’s (which are much harder to find). Make sure you ask for Omary, he was absolutely epic. You’ shouldnt under estimate the value of a great local guide with huge amounts of knowledge on the area and the wildlife. We contemplated driving ourselves. I really wouldn’t do that. U will see and learn so much more with a local guide. Especially our one!

Big 5 and Wildebeest Migration
The trip to Tanzania was amazing. We were a group of ten which included kids and we covered Tarangire, Central and North Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater area and a day at Moshi. We booked through KimKim and Salty.Travel - Classic Journeys was their local partner in the area. The booking process was taken care of through KimKim while the actual safari was handled through Classic Journeys.
Magi and Penda are excellent guides who have spent a lot of time doing safaris. One of them was with us from the time we landed until they dropped us off at the airport again. They were patient with our questions and responsive to our needs. They were happy to provide suggestions about game drives and willing to work with us to modify plans as needed. Their knowledge of the area and animals were very valuable to us. They were able to get us to the right spots at the right time. We trusted them to take us where the animals were and we got to see the Big 5 and more! Our highlights of the trip included seeing a standoff between a herd of buffaloes and lions, watching a pride of lions eat their kill, seeing a couple of cheetahs eat a gazelle, and being in place to see the first crossing of wildebeests across the Mara river.
One minor area for improvement would be the vehicles. One of our vehicles had the misfortune of getting four flat tires over the course of our safari. Also, having working AC during the long days of travel would have been nice.

Our guide Omar made our Safari experience unforgettable
Booking a safari for a family with 3 teenage boys (17, 14, 12) is a challenge. They all want something different and as a mum you don’t want them to be bored. Besides the amazing landscape, the incredible animals and once in a lifetime experience….of course.
We went to the Serengeti, saw the great migration and went into the Ngorongoro crater. The success of any safari is to actually get to see the wildlife and that is not always an easy task. Omar drove the Landcruiser for a private tour and went truly beyond the call of duty to make our trip unforgettable. All the boys lived it. We saw the big five. But also loads of other animals including cheeta’s, serval cats, jackals, rhinos and so much more.
Omar truly made our trip….and made sure we had wifi…very important for teenage boys.
We also planned in some activities, such as a zipline, bike ride and treetop walk to alternate from the game drive, which is highly recommended. The visit to the Maasai village was something I liked….the boys not so much.
In Arusha….choose the Summit Lodge and definitely not the Senator.
Mohamed is very helpful in sorting out anything else. I did my booking with the help from Jackline and found the whole booking and plan very smooth and accommodating. To personalise your trip to your needs is easy.
When travelling to Tanzania, don’t forget to bring cash in dollars.
So…yes…book with this company, stay at the Summit on the start and end of your trip, but most importantly ask for Omar to be your guide!

Our tour guide Omar was amazing. He went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable
The tour was amazing! My family and I saw many animals which usually aren’t spotted easily such as cheetahs and leopards. We saw lots of big lions which we enjoyed seeing as that is what we really wanted to see. Our tour guide Omar was absolutely amazing. His driving was incredible and he always knew how to find the right spot and angle to view these spectacular animals! He was also very fast to get to places which allowed us to have more time viewing the animals in the park. The car was incredibly comfortable even tho we spent many ours in the car. The roof is also able to open up which allows the heat to move out and have an even better view out of the car to spot animals and take pictures! Overal the experience was amazing and made even better by our tour guide Omar!

Very professionally organized safari!
Communication with the provider easy and straightforward, they were flexible when we had to ask for some slight modifications. We even received an upgrade on of our accommodations due to capacity constraints, which was a nice bonus! Overall responses were timely, the provider is reliable and service was delivered in line with what was agreed and promised.
The driver (Frederick) was very competent and knowledgeable. He shared a lot insights on all kinds of animals we spotted on the way and drove us around safely. We would recommend this provider.

Reliable, well managed and friendly
Communication, service , atmosphere, safety everything was very much okay. Did Tarngire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and that was fantastic: saw the big five and much much more! Meals were absolutely amazing and looked much better than wat other companies provided. Suliman the cook was so nice! And driver / guide Benjamin was the best in spotting and reading the animals so he got us frontrow whenever ther was something to see.
We did 4 days and that was enough for us as a family. Camping on the Ngorongoro was cold but we all slept well and loved it.

Simply Superb…. And Amazing….!
We (family of 4), have just spent the most amazing week on Safari with Morning Star Safaris in Kenya. Dennis did the most amazing job putting together a customised itinerary for us, which included game reserves (Masai Mara/ Amboseli), Lakes (Nakuru/ Naivasha), cycling in Hell’s Gate, a walking safari as well as meeting and spending time with a Masai tribe. Morning Star provided a brilliant personalised brochure including a breakdown of all of the costs, and Dennis himself almost always responded within a couple of hours, we don’t think he ever slept! Thank you Dennis…Our then there was our Guide… Alex! What a legend! He met us at the airport in a brand new Land Cruiser and took us on the most amazing adventure… Alex has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the the parks, the animals, the birds, the fauna as well as a forensic knowledge of Kenyan culture, history, politics, music, movies and sport… his passion, energy, enthusiasm and humour were infectious, it felt like he was a member of the family by the end of the trip, not just our safari tour guide… thank you Alex! You’re a legend…and thank you Morning Star for helping make our trip to Kenya, the trip of a lifetime.
