Perfect communication in planning and over- fulfilling expectations by friendly and competent staff
RAMS Safaris was clearly winning the race when we were asking for offers from different tour operators. They won, because they were taking up nearly every wish or idea, because communication was very fast and always straight to the point. Also the description of the itinerary is giving all details of what you can expect - and also the prices are competative.
So planning was easy and detailed, even though we had quite some own ideas.
During our five days in the camp we were catered for by 8 staff members- 3 very competent drivers who gave us a lot of background information about nature and managed to show us a very wide range of animals from close ( even after some years in Botswana it was my first sighting of a leopard or of wild dogs!).
The crew on the camp did much more than what could be expected- they did not only serve nice food 3 times a day ( no chance to loose weight!), they celebrated it. We were also surprised to find our tents tidied up when we came back from a game drive, even the towels were nicely folded like you know it maybe from Hilton Hotel!
In the middle of the bush there was light in the tents and a chance to charge our cell phones, there was warm water to wash your face brought next to the tents- you really do
not miss anything!
As we were all used to Botswana , we knew that roads can be rough and that temperatures in winter can be quite low early in the morning or after sundown. For tourist from abroad, who are not yet familiar with these conditions, I would recommend to include into the description for the trip these points, so that sensitive people bring enough warm clothes, maybe also headscarves to protect themselves from dust during longer drives ( maybe the information, that the trip from Maun to Khwai takes at least 4 hours should be also added).
The evenings at a camp fire were perfect to finish the day.
All in all, we felt that we were spoiled from the beginning to the end and we can only recommend to have this experience with RAMS Safaris, if you wish to be close to nature and you like to be taken care of all your needs at the same time!

Unforgettable journey
I went on a 7-day safari that allowed me to navigate the great parks such as the Serengeti; our guide Beatus, head of Passionate Guides (because there are other guides too in this friendly family company) was simply exceptional because he took the time to explain to us (my family and friends) with patience and pedagogy everything about the flora and fauna.
His kindness and erudition are impressive. His experience of over 10 years enabled him to show us all the Big 5 and much more.
He drove very smoothly and the Toyota 4x4 was very comfortable and clean.
I loved the meals, fine local cuisine.
He was able to guide us in our choice of accommodation and we were delighted each time we discovered a new lodge.
Beatus is a reassuring guide because he has a great deal of experience and you can feel it.
He also understands French very well and knows how to explain in our language. Of course, his English is perfect.
We shared a lot and laughed together at dinner. Perfect if you're looking for a relationship that's more friendly than commercial.

Fantastic safari with Khalanga!
We chose Khalanga to organize a safari for us and our three older teens. What a great choice! Shoes took our requests and coordinated a fabulous 5-day trip for us. We stayed at Olifants (amazing view over the river valley) and Talamati in Kruger National Park and Tshukudu, a private reserve in Greater Kruger. We enjoyed the boat cruise in Blyde River Canyon as well. Our group had so much fun learning from Shoes and joking around. He grew up in the area, knows lots of people and has much knowledge to share with his guests. The food was wonderful and he catered to the vegetarians, meat eaters and dairy-allergic in our party. We enjoyed spending time with his family as well. I highly recommend Khalanga for an affordable custom safari to the Kruger area!

Awesome!!!
We had the most incredible time on our safari & we highly recommend it to anyone who is planning to go to South Africa.
Our guide was accommodating, and he tried his best and succeeded in showing us everything we came for. We saw so many animals and that was largely a result of our guid’s expertise. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.
We felt safe, and we were well taken care of. There isn’t anything more that we could have wanted.
It was an adventure that we will always remember.
